I’ve just been in heron foods - forest hall. They have a Guinness can/hat set for £2. Some alcohol ‘crackers’ for £3 approx and I got a card game- for 50p (chunky, well made box) which will work as a stocking filler. Pic attached

Thanks for this. I'm just down the road from Forest Hall. (I used to live in Holystone) Will have a poke around in there is the morning as I have to drop some honey off in Benton.

NotAdultingToday · 29/01/2026 20:04

Smiggle has an extra 40% off online only deal at the moment, some good bargains there!

Aw fab. I travel there for work once a week, and always get some yellow sticker bargains . This is the game for 50p 😯

The Spicery currently have 40% off their Noodle legend kits at £20.97. I've also popped a 10% off code on the referral thread to discount it further plus its free shipping! I've just bought one as I got the curry one for Christmas and really enjoying trying all the recipes out.

The White Company have an extra 10% off sale with code JANSALE26

I ordered a few pairs of kids pyjamas and reed diffusers.

Elpheba · 30/01/2026 13:26

The White Company extra 10% off is in store too. I wanted a few pairs of kids pyjamas but not enough for free delivery so popped in on the off chance today. Two pairs of lovely kids pjs for £19 can be my god children’s gifts next year!

sansou · 30/01/2026 17:27

White Stuff instore had an extra 10% off final sale prices and I bought 2 shirts for DH's birthday in the spring.

Famousthehero · 31/01/2026 07:55

Slightly off Christmas, but verging to the same level of expense! I have to buy a number of 18th and 21st girl birthday presents this year. I'd love some ideas for jewellery - there's a company like Pandora but is that popular with that age group anymore, I'm thinking of other trusted jewellery companies? And other ideas - handbags? Probably £50 max given the number I have to get. So looking for any end of sale bargains!

ChristmasElvis · 31/01/2026 08:33

Pandora is expensive for what it is. I don’t know what is popular which that age group but depending on budget I would look at Tiffany. The other option is a small independent jewellers, our local town has a row with about 10 different jewellery shops, some chains, some second hand some very expensive and some cheaper. I would go and have a wander, be honest with them about your budget and see what they say. I will also say jewellery is very personal so I would make sure it is returnable.
If these are all friends it might be nice to buy the same item for each.

I agree on Pandora that's why I am looking for other options but they are all family members (we all had children at the same time!) and don't live locally. So, I am struggling on buying local because then it prevents a return. I haven't looked at Tiffany so I will have a look, thank you!

Not a bargain, but if anyone is thinking about buying Pokémon merchandise from the Natural History Museum as part of the NHM X Pokemon collaboration, be aware that they are closing the special online shop on Monday:

https://www.nhmshop.co.uk/pokemon.html

Lots of stock is sold out, but they still have some stuff if you’re quick.

I have spent a ridiculous amount of money, having failed to get the free tickets to get into the physical shop. I’ve told myself that they are presents, but did get a bit carried away🙈

IlovePond · 31/01/2026 09:28

Speaking of things that are ending on Monday: ROKA LD finishes then as well.

Thank you for this, I wasn't aware of the collab but managed to get a couple of things for presents. I now need to stash them somewhere I forget about them as im terrible for just handing things over as soon as they arrive as I love giving gifts 🙈

MyFunnyLemonCritic · 31/01/2026 10:46

Hi, does anyone have an Argos code for a big purchase please? 😄

I have been buying Abbot And Lyon jewellery as presents and been well received. They normally have an offer on for 2 for price of 1 or have some bundle sets. I have just bought myself this and really like it, each item was packaged separately so could be good to split up for gifts. Also can find it decently reduced on Vinted still with packaging.

I went shopping today and I would recommend Sainsburys and TK Maxx. The light was £3, the poster £3 and the pencil case £1.50!

@ArthurChristmas22 I would highly recommend Astrid and Miyu for good quality jewellery that would fit your budget, particularly if you use their loyalty scheme. They give points for your birthday and for sending silver for recycling (I’ve sent old broken and odd earrings before). I’ve put a referral code on the referrals thread as that also takes £15 off.

WimbyAce · 01/02/2026 23:07

Mountain Warehouse have free delivery this weekend. Usual sales on there and EMAIL20 for an extra 20% off.

BadgerFace · 02/02/2026 08:45

I’m sure someone will have already mentioned the Lisa Angel sale but I just wanted to say to sign up for their birthday treat. They sent me a £5 voucher for my birthday so I just went for a browse and found some cute stocking fillers for next year plus I had £3.50 of reward vouchers from December 2024 purchases I didn’t know about plus sales discount means I got £41 of items for £25 with free delivery. Bargain!

Ewock · 02/02/2026 12:32

RL shopping today, boots near me has sale stuff at 70% off now. I got Harry Potter bath fizzer set, changing colour bath elixir and a lip balm set all £10 down to £3.

LostMyRubySlippers · 02/02/2026 19:03
