Festive greetings to all and everyone. We're so close! I've just got a few last minute bits of wrapping to go and I hope everything is all bought. The Christmas food shop is arriving on Tuesday, the gingerbread house is being baked tomorrow and cinnamon buns are on my list of things to make before the week is out! Massive Christmas wishes to each and every one of you.

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

Have Sainsbury’s started the post Christmas food reduction yet (not the refrigerated stuff, but things like crackers, panettone, biscuits)?

I got some great bargains last year, but think it was in to January. We only just finished the bargain 7p cheese truckles!

Was in Sainsbury’s this morning and nothing like that. Only 3p Brussels, carrots and parsnips. I looked in the cheese aisle but no reductions, I suspect they won’t reduce things very heavily until after New Year? I was looking for reduced mince pies myself!

StepIntoXmas · 27/12/2025 17:09

Aldi had really good reductions today. Lots left in the Christmas treats aisle.

There's a good sample sale on East End press. I haven't bought from their sample sale before but bought my parents and in laws individual Christmas cards from them this year and they both loved them. I couldn't normally afford to get everyone on my list cards from them, but got 2 sets of their Christmas card packs for next year!

https://eastendpress.com/collections/sample-sale?filter.v.availability=1&sort_by=best-selling

Thanks, got some lovely bird and gingerbread house tree ornaments to put away for myself and for presents next year in the sample sale. Plus the 20% off for new customer worked.
Going to try and stock up on my presents cupboard for next year to make life easier.

Going shopping today. Already placed two orders at Whistlefish for all my cards and wrao for next year (love their magnetic keepsake boxes, they made wrapping easy, and the contents look 'posher' IYSWIM) I bought these vinyl coasters for DD this year which went down a treat. Usually about £6 a set, and I've seen our local market traders selling them for a tenner. Currently £6.99 for a pack of two. Highly recommend. I've bought some more to put away for next years gifts.

I'm just waiting for a Haul offer to come online as I have a list of 'hits' from this year which I will definitely buy again and stash away. DD is in love with a little black cross body bag which I think was about 85p!!

Hi, I’ve just realised that it doesn’t look like ROKA are doing their lucky dip this year- unless anyone knows any different? It had started by this time last year, whereas there’s just a ‘normal’ sale on at ROKA atm.

Probably just as well, as I don’t need any more ROKA bags!

I went RL shopping today:

M&S had been cleared out of anything that might have been vaguely desirable by the time I got there mid afternoon.

There was nothing except the usual half price toiletry gift sets on offer in Boots. I didn’t even see any Xmas gift sets reduced on the premium beauty counters, which was a first. I suppose it’s possible that they had all sold out, but for the most part they didn’t seem to have reduced anything. I picked up a metal water flask reduced to £5 and escaped - it was like the zombie apocalypse in there 🙀

Accessorize had 50% off all their Xmas accessories, including some nice velvety pouches and cute earrings.j

L’Occitane were ignoring the idea of sales completely - everything was full price.

There were a few reduced toiletries in Rituals.

SpaceNK had some good reductions on gift sets, including some JoLoves products and SDJ.

Further reductions in White Stuff. I almost bought quite a nice leather bag which was reduced to £33, but the staff member seemed to think I was nicking it when I tried it on, so I gave it a miss. I definitely didn’t need it, anyway!

50% off various things in Pandora.

Claires were doing some kind of 3-4-2 offer.

EweProfessorSurnameDoctorProfessor · 27/12/2025 23:19

I went into hotel Chocolat this morning and the staff said they’d been cleared out of all their Christmas sales items yesterday but I managed to get a few half price hotel chocolat bits from John Lewis

Yes I spotted that myself yesterday after having a browse at Haul. I'm now watching a basket of stuff.

Just a grinchy reminder to spend ten minutes today (and 3 mins every day for the next couple of weeks) unsubscribing to all the junk emails we've signed up for over the last few months!

In addition to streamlining your inbox, sometimes it also removes you from their database and you get the status of "new customer" when you want to buy something next year, which sometimes triggers special offers.

SomeFiggyPudding · 28/12/2025 09:20

Morning all! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas time. Late to the party I know, but could someone point me in the direction of a good candle warmer lamp? I know they were popular on here recently, and I’ve got a January birthday coming up. Thanks in advance! 🎄

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 28/12/2025 09:57

Picked up some good deals on m&s online. Tends to refresh their stock overnight. Today's haul was 1x day skincare estee lauder set and 1x night set (£29 each) 1 x prai skincare set (£17). The prai and daytime set are still available now.

Robbed the boots sale on christmas eve for their satzuma stuff as my two boys like their gadgets as well as being handy for cousins etc.

Looking around for a premium skincare advent calendar if anyone sees one. I begrudge paying full price later next year!!

The works is usually my go to for stocking bits but they've added a minimum purchase of 2 for anything bargainous. I dont need 2 bluey books etc etc so im finding it frustrating.

Also looking for the best bargain on men's toiletry gift set as I have a lot of January men's birthdays

I find the Boots sale good for gifts like that. Our Boots had loads in the sale yesterday although I was only looking at the gifts for women.

Cos1970 · 28/12/2025 10:24

I went shopping IRL yesterday and thought the sales were a bit disappointing.

Having said that I got some cards in Card Factory for next year as they were 5 for £1. I got a couple of No 7 sets from Boots and Ted Baker body spray plus a Miffy bath bomb all half price. I was surprised at how much stuff was in the sale.

I also bought two Sense beauty advent calendars for £12.50 each from Boots and got extra points as they had a deal on advent calendars.

I also got a really a really cute bomber jacket and tutu skirt from M&S for a friend’s DD for her birthday in February, half price.

Thought the M&S and H&M sales weren’t very good.

Thank you for all the bargains this year, next year I’ll be buying a lot less as we’re cutting down on who we buy for and how much we spend as unfortunately the effort I put in isn’t reciprocated 😏

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 28/12/2025 10:56

@IlovePond disappointed with Roka too. The current sale finishes 2nd Jan and last year the Lucky Dip ran for the whole of January from Boxing Day. So who knows.

I think there was talk they would do it differently this year so maybe it will just be the sale

running2 · 28/12/2025 11:04

thanks for all the bargains this year, the children liked all their gifts. Haven't done the fahlo bracelets yet as also got one for my nephew so want them to open at the same time. Our ones weren't in packets- the cards are postcard shaped and say which animal they are in them. Wondering if they ran out of the ones in packets and that's why it took so long to come? I ordered on black Friday but didn't get them until Christmas Eve!

If anyone has an Argos code or has seen any bike deals that would suit an 12 year old, please let me know. Think we might get this one

FurForksSake · 28/12/2025 13:47

Remembered to cancel snackverse, it went down well but wouldn’t have it all year.

hi smile has gone down really well, did someone mention a real life store that sold the toothpaste cheap?

jocktamsonsbairn · 28/12/2025 14:37

Thanks everyone for all the help and amazing bargains! Also to @Reastie and @RainbowZebraWarrior for all their hard work!

The heated blankets, Real Techniques make up brushes and cheese advent calendar all were very well reduced but prize gift for all 3 recipients were the personalised glass cloths!

will need to set a reminder to myself to not order from Grum again as it’s always a little bit disappointing but apart from that, all good!! Finally having a lazy day today so might start browsing the sales…

I think it was Home Bargains that sells the toothpaste

Oneborneverydecade · 28/12/2025 16:20

Did anyone buy the whale shark Fahlo bracelet? Ours hasn't updated since Dec 23rd, is that normal?

FurForksSake · 28/12/2025 18:31

St Eval has a decent sale on, including the tea light advent calendar.

I just tried to checkout at St Eval and it also seems to stack sale items with the new customer 10% off code. This is NEW10 for an extra few pennies off!

@FurForksSake yes home bargains currently has four or five different flavours in stock. I saw them again this morning.

Probably more expensive but I thought of this thread when I saw some in Boots this week.
