Festive greetings to all and everyone. We're so close! I've just got a few last minute bits of wrapping to go and I hope everything is all bought. The Christmas food shop is arriving on Tuesday, the gingerbread house is being baked tomorrow and cinnamon buns are on my list of things to make before the week is out! Massive Christmas wishes to each and every one of you.

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

That M&S looks lovely, shame it’s out of stock online and in store. Poo.

ClemFandangosHair · 22/12/2025 17:22

Emma Bridgewater has started their Winter sale and they have next day delivery so items will be delivered in time for Christmas.

MrsMattSantos · 22/12/2025 18:08

slightly surprised the Fahlo bracelet I ordered last week has come today - ordered it for DD, planning to give it to her for her birthday in january after lots of others seemed to have delays
and only missing one thing - a poster I ordered from Amazon which I later learned was coming from China. tracking shows it as having been in london since December 12 though 🙄

ThisLuckyEagle · 22/12/2025 18:09

Christmas Pyjamas and Jumpers are in the sale at Sainsburys, got some ready for next year!

And Tesco. Brought some PJs for DD today for next year

FairPointWellMadeBarbAirer · 23/12/2025 01:17

I’ve twitched and ordered click & collect men’s jumpers from crew clothing down to £19 from £65, there were lots of big reductions. It said arrives after Christmas and I’m not seeing this relative until the 27th, but it was dispatched almost straight away so may come before.

Also Ordered from Nip+fab which has £2 guaranteed delivery on order up until 12pm 23rd.

Still awaiting a few late deliveries, so may have to go last minute real life shopping if they don’t show up.

FairPointWellMadeBarbAirer · 23/12/2025 01:22

@MrsMattSantos my Amazon from china delivery has been stuck in London for ages too. It made it up to Liverpool on 21st, so I was hopeful, but tracking changed to 26th estimated delivery about an hour ago. ( original delivery date was 16th!) It was a Santa present for dc, but I’ve managed to order a similar item from Amazon that is due tomorrow- so hopefully one of them will show up.

Islandescape · 23/12/2025 06:42

There are loads of chocolates on offer in Tesco. Including large diary milk £7.50. Penguin selection boxes £1 and many more. All my family are getting extra chocolate this year!

fishfingersandchipsagain · 23/12/2025 08:01

I have reached that stage where I have forgotten where I stored some presents, and also what I bought for whom.

I was wrapping gifts for extended family last night, and I can’t find the £35 box of chocolates I bought on special offer in September. I can see from receipts that I did buy them, they are not something I would have eaten myself, or given to someone else.

I also twitched on another present for DS1, but not sure about it now. I’m doing relatively well to not twitch in general.

hiredandsqueak · 23/12/2025 08:05

I placed a Tu clothing order at Argos yesterday, used their money off coupon and a giftcard I had forgotten I had, to buy Christmas pyjamas and jumpers and socks for next December. I don't open the bag so it is always a surprise when I do! I give my grandsons a box on December 1st full of stuff to cover the Christmas build up. Dd then puts it all on Vinted October time and pretty much gets back what I paid for it and that covers Panto tickets or Santa train ride.

Beachcomber74 · 23/12/2025 09:05

Ordered OK beauty box hoping it will come but no updates yet.
Final gifts to buy today nearly there.
Happy Christmas all. Fewer bargains out there than previous years but the Laithwaite hampers have gone down well & the PLouise make up was great.
Which successful purchases have you made thanks to this thread?

Toooldforlonghair · 23/12/2025 09:52

In case anyone is looking for a last minute gift I thought I'd post this as for the right person/age group it should bring a a smile.

Last week I was reminising about Christmas past with my bestie and it got onto foods etc that everyone had in the 1970s which have now disappeared. One of them was liqueur chocs - those little chocolate sugary bottles or barrels with actual drink inside and how it was considered a great treat if your parents allowed you to taste one.

Well yesterday, I went into Home Bargains and guess what I found? A box of Famous Names Liqueurs, which if you are of a certain age you will remember. The ads for them would start appearing on telly around October and disappear after Christmas. I immediately bought a box for my friend - she loved it. So am posting in case others might enjoy.

Wish all the lovely ladies on here a Merry Christmas and thank you for all the suggestions and for keeping these threads up. My first year on them but definitely not my last.

InbetweenDreams · 23/12/2025 10:11

My Christmas cactus is in full bloom, finally got everything wrapped. Thank you all for sharing all your finds - I’ve done really well this year and got some things I never would have heard of that are perfect for some hard-to-buy-for people! I’ve got some ideas for next year too :) Merry Christmas all! 🎄

I'm so happy that I found these threads this year. Massive thanks to @Reastie for doing the threads, and also thanks to @RainbowZebraWarrior for stepping in when the lovely Reastie wasn't well - I hope you're fully recovered, or at least recovering well Reastie 💐

For the first time ever I was all sorted and gifts wrapped early this year. Highlights were the candle warmer lamps (got 4 of those, including one for me), Amazon Haul, Laithwaites, Nikura (love the Misti and oils), Degusta and Whistlefish. I've just had my latest Whistlefish delivery which will see me through the next year (or maybe 2 years as I've just put in another order today 😊). I didn't want to risk waiting for the sales as lots of the WF offers are out of stock now.

I've got 3 magnetic boxes (max you can order in one go, so just ordered more), 20 xmas cards for £10, 10 birthday cards for £10, 2 teatowels, 3 gift bags, 10 sheets of wrapping paper and a load of gift tags at half price. Really good quality 😍

Thanks @keepincool The candle lamps have been an utter revelation so thanks to the poster who originally spotted them. I had a proper roof put on my conservatory this month and the candle lamp is making the new room look very cosy! Also Nikura and Whistlefish - I got a similar haul to yours with the magnetic boxes, teatowels and gift bags.

BTW Nikura have one of their £2 Tuesday oil offers on today if anyone needs ro stock up for the new year / next year!!

Merry Christmas everyone 🎅 🧑‍🎄 🎄

Where's the 20 Christmas cards for £10?

Where's the 20 Christmas cards for £10?

I've just had a look and the offer has gone now - I only ordered them on Saturday so they must have sold out quickly - sorry. I should have posted on the thread at the time but I've been out and about the last few days 😕

TheGriffle · 23/12/2025 14:36

Does anyone have the code for Outsmarted question packs please that was emailed recently? (I think it was for buy one get one free or similar.) I decided we didn’t need any more and deleted my email with it on and I can’t find the code on their Facebook page or website. Now I’ve seen they have a Stranger Things pack and more that I want to add to our game!

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 23/12/2025 14:39

@TheGriffle

Outsmarted’s gift to you: Use code XMAS1FREE and get a free category or multipack for every one you buy on our website! (Ends 23:59 23rd December)

TheGriffle · 23/12/2025 14:41

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads you Christmas Angel, thank you!

burblish · 23/12/2025 17:02

Adding my thanks to all who contributed to these threads, as I happily munch on my very tasty Joe & Seph's popcorn under my heated Dreamland throw. The personalised mitre football and Mountain Warehouse stuff will go down very well with the recipients as will the Amazon Haul bits for stockings.

The only thing I wouldn't bother with again is Gruum - I had forgotten how absolutely titchy everything is (even though the sizes/weights are clear on the website and I made the same mistake a couple of years ago). I eagerly opened the box only to find it was 3/4 full of packing peanuts with a handful of toiletries for a dolls house bathroom! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Little Lies have 15% off all full price items with code TREATYOURSELF if you happen to be looking for last minute gifts for anyone into the 70s rock aesthetic. Still shipping options available that will get stuff to you before Christmas (I just bought myself a Christmas present of the gorgeous velvet gloves).

My order from this link arrived today!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 23/12/2025 21:32

Another one adding their thanks for these threads even though I have missed the past couple of ones. DH is currently downstairs wrapping and I’m aiming to get an early night with our newborn (was due in the new year but arrived last week which was a very good reason behind not twitching!)

I love these threads each year 😁

Sasha07 · 23/12/2025 21:55

@Thegirlhasnamechanged congratulations on your new baby ♥️

Ardagusdubh · 23/12/2025 22:53

I’m gutted! We’re bringing the children to Disney in the new year as a present so I bought Minnie Mouse ears in Primark for my daughter and ordered Mickey Mouse ears for my sons to wrap up. The Mickey ears were ordered on 15th from Amazon so I relaxed on those but they haven’t arrived and now won’t until after Christmas. Does anyone know of a real life shop where I can pick up ears tomorrow?
