Festive greetings to all and everyone. We're so close! I've just got a few last minute bits of wrapping to go and I hope everything is all bought. The Christmas food shop is arriving on Tuesday, the gingerbread house is being baked tomorrow and cinnamon buns are on my list of things to make before the week is out! Massive Christmas wishes to each and every one of you.

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

Did anyone buy the whale shark Fahlo bracelet? Ours hasn't updated since Dec 23rd, is that normal?

Not the shark but we have a sloth that hasn't done anything since 12th December, but guessing that's because it's a sloth!
The turtle we also got however seems to have moved quite regularly although roughly in the same area.

NotMeekNotObedient · 28/12/2025 19:39

Thanks for all the bargains! There didn't seem to be many big reductions this year unfortunately. Dolly Sticker dressing books were a hit.

Thanks also for the Nutcracker reccomendations, I was really considering getting the real cracking one on Amazon but DH and I do both have a nut allergy 😂 which complicated things. Managed to track down a teddy one from Vinted which satisfied DD.

Went real life shopping yesterday.

Got a few christmas bits for next year in The Works - Xmas romance book for £1, Pass the Pud £2, cellophane bags for hampers for 50p.

I was disappointed with Fatface and Accessorise's sales.

I got some Xmas clothes for the kids for next year in John Lewis but think I missed the beauty bargains. I always find their summer sale better for mens clothes, nothing took my fancy there unfortunately.

Waitrose had some nice chocolates reduced but I resisted!

PearlTeapot · 28/12/2025 19:55

Do people generally think the St Eval calendar will still smell nice next year? Do candles lose their smell??

I thought about getting my sister the sloth one but decided it wouldn’t move much so wouldn’t be very exciting

Might have already been mentioned, but loads of half price beauty stuff in M&S sale - Estee Lauder, Benefit, Nuxe, Prai, Clinique. Includes the Estée Lauder “Blockbuster gift” at £90.

Some is “search for a store”, but most is in stock.

If you want to plan ahead books for bugs have a sticker dolly dressing for £1 in their sale

Our whale shark is active and moving between feeding grounds

I agree with whoever said they wouldn’t order from Grüm again. The room scent is undetectable minutes after spraying.

ClemFandangosHair · 29/12/2025 12:07

Some decent bargains in store at Dunelm this morning. Lots of Harry Potter bits, slippers and homeware half price!

Yeah I swerved them this Christmas after finding the stuff I bought in 2024 was rubbish. Makes me wonder if this is why they give so much stuff away.

I also got the £1 Christmas romance from The Works yesterday, as well as this lovely 2026 Gardeners Almanac which was down to £3

Whats the christmas romance please?

I noticed yesterday that a load of Gruum products appeared in our bathroom........realised I gifted them to DH last year and he hasn't used them yet, he'd obviously found them and put them out to use! 🙈 I remember thinking at the time that I wouldn't purchase from them again as wasnt that impressed and the hiked up unrealistic RRP prices annoyed me as well!

Anyone collecting the DK Anthology books, the Christmas one is now £8.49. I’ve just ordered for next year

Xmas pjs in Sainsbury’s have also been reduced earlier (£3/3.60 a paid) also picked up some in Asda IRL this morning for £2/3/4 each. The kids had so many this year, stopped at 4 pairs each for next (between 2 houses)

Cos1970 · 29/12/2025 20:08

Went RL shopping today and went back to Boots as I was really impressed with the Sense advent calendars I got previously, for £12.50 they look pretty impressive. They’re no longer available on the website and they didn’t have them in store.

I did get a big pack of face masks reduced to £12.50, a sock set with foot scrub for £12, a Ted Baker scent spay for £2.25 and a pack of bath bombs that look like Connect 4 for £5. I was really pleased as I earnt triple points with the advent calendars and double points for the rest that I bought on Saturday so I had enough points to pay for £23 of the items.

Wasn’t overly impressed with Primark’s sale stuff but did get a pair of slouchy red socks for £2 instead of £4.50. I did notice that they had a load of pyjamas in the sale which I think were 50% off.

Also bought a new winter coat from Mountain Warehouse online. The coat was already reduced from £219 to £99.99 and I got a further 10% off using FROSTY10 so it ended up being £89.99.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 29/12/2025 20:54

Forgot just how bad Boots are for delivering online orders intact. Ordered a large box of green & blacks chocolates for a gift and the packet has been torn open and there were mini bars everywhere. Really short date too.
Lots of crushed boxes for other stuff but not as bad as the order I made a couple of years ago.

bought M&S pjs reduced from the outlet. Some lovely designs but when I got them home I noticed that some of them were on the wrong cardboard hangers so won’t be any good to me. My DD is 5 and some of them were age 11/12. Didn’t have enough hands to manually check every single item I put in the basket but wish I had checked before leaving the shopping centre when I could sit down as won’t be going back anytime soon.

IlovePond · 29/12/2025 20:59

@PissedOffNeighbour22 - speaking from experience, blink and your little one will be old enough to wear those pjs! If you have space I would pop them in a cupboard for later.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/12/2025 21:01

Here's another £7 off £75 Argos voucher which needs using tonight:

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 29/12/2025 22:22

@IlovePond I’m terrible for hoarding ‘bargains’ and have so many clothes hidden away. DD will probably be an adult by the time she fits in those pjs as although she’s 5 she’s currently wearing age 2-3 clothes 😄

There were a few to choose from in my local The Works store. I got this Paris themed one Romance book.

Yalz · 30/12/2025 02:38

Boots £10 Tuesday has started again this morning. I didn’t see much in the way of great offers in that section, the best was probably Lumene skincare.

They did have some candles and reed diffusers for £10 but the best bargains I saw were the 50% off Christmas gifts, as mentioned by some previous in-person shoppers above.

Flubadubba · 30/12/2025 08:55

The H&M sale isn't bad this year- got £125 worth of stuff for £50. Mostly for DD, who is 6 but tall and skinny, so H&M clothes fit her well.

M&S online sale sucked, but I got underwear and a half price jumper (that was out of stock online) when I popped in there so not complaining!
