Festive greetings to all and everyone. We're so close! I've just got a few last minute bits of wrapping to go and I hope everything is all bought. The Christmas food shop is arriving on Tuesday, the gingerbread house is being baked tomorrow and cinnamon buns are on my list of things to make before the week is out! Massive Christmas wishes to each and every one of you.

anyway as this is a Christmas thread and not to de-rail it, I will share that I’ve finished wrapping early (apart from a couple of small things) for the first time EVER. I’m usually doing it on Christmas Eve feeling hugely stressed and angry with myself. So tomorrow I can do some baking and relax before back to work Tues and Weds.

I have, once again, enjoyed these threads (and the prequel threads) enormously for the fourth year in a row. I have got crocs, crocs slippers, face masks, cuddle cushions, electric toothbrush, Benefit make up set, Fiorelli bags and Pandora bracelets all at bargainous prices, and that’s just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I bought some Korean snacks as final pressies and after I have wrapped those I am done. Just have to ice the Christmas cake and maybe attempt to make the biscuits using the recipe that came with the free JL biscuit cutters.

Asda shop came tonight. I seem to have failed to buy important things like eggs and toilet roll but have lots of apple sauce 🙈 I therefore foresee a food shop on in my immediate future, but I don’t mind as I love shopping, even for food!

For anyone still shopping online: Harrods pre-sale has started and does have some good reductions on things like KG shoes, Veja trainers and some Xmas beauty sets.

well I collected my order today to last the week and 2 meat items were not available along with some other bits so I also need to do a supermarket shop (that I didn’t plan to do) 🙄

if anyone is looking for a stocking filler, again, I just wanted to say that the Lazy Panda bamboo knickers from Sock Shop are absolutely amazing. I’m fully converted now and I like that they come rolled up in a tube, which is why i suggested good for stocking fillers.

Finally, my local Home Bargains has about five different flavours of HiSmile toothpaste at the moment for only £1.49 and this is the actually HiSmile, not a dupe.

they had the Wonka chocolate flavour, cotton candy, a coconut one and a few others I can’t remember. Good stocking filler for kids or anyone sensitive to mint flavours.

(NB I’m not saying this is the best toothpaste in the world but my autistic daughter now brushes her teeth three times a day due to her range of HiSmile flavours when previously dental hygiene was a bit of a challenge, so I take that as a win)

No? There’s a guide on their website with what’s in each door if you want to check what’s missing?

The calendar this year isn’t well made and we think that the items have fallen through to another door. We had two items in one of our earlier doors. So maybe this has happened? I’m generally not impressed by Degusta box this year, lots of duplicates from last year.

Does anyone know of any bargain candle advent calendars?
I buy 1 for my mum every year and try to get ahead for.next year when they are at a decent price.
We used to get Yankee but since they've changed their candles they dont burn as well.

@Ewock not candles but I got this from M&S and it’s absolutely glorious. it comes in a beautiful light up box, with the ceramic burner and you just put tea lights underneath. Now £15 so I’m tempted to buy another. The scent from each melt lasts days!
