Thread 13 - the one with a cheesy advent calendar of 67 jumpers

Reastie · 29/11/2025 20:25

Decided to combine both thread title suggestions :)

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for helping me out and I'm so excited that I was on my computer and she tagged me so I could set this one up - hurrah!

Feeling super festive today after getting the decorations up and visiting Father Christmas. Exciting news is the Christmas bedding and jumpers are all down from the loft and being washed, so I'll soon be able to walk around in my 'I [heart] Christmas' jumper Xmas Grin

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.
Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

@Arregaithel thank you for the HC advent codes, I’ve ordered, the contents will make great stocking fillers (and a few treats for me!)

HeartandSeoul · 04/12/2025 20:44

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 04/12/2025 20:37

How do I get the calendar for 34.55 with delivery? Im being charged 3.95 delivery

Edited to add, I have added the codes in a post below this one

There is a 15% off code and a 10% off code, which both stack (I was too eager to buy and missed that fact 🤦🏼‍♀️!).

I seem to recall the codes are on page 17, but I may be wrong.

Anyone else feeling annoyed they didn’t get the stacking HC codes? I’m honestly considering making another order 😆

CatCatCatCatCatCatCat · 04/12/2025 20:55

@carrieWhat about a weighted plush version of his favourite animal? (My son sounds similar to yours, also has severe anxiety)

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 04/12/2025 20:58

Thanks for the help with the codes, I was being dim. Its been a long week. Order placed, thank so much.

Puffalicious · 04/12/2025 21:00

Does anyone recall what ASOS offers there are? DS2 has a voucher & wants to order jeans, but i want him to make the most of the amount. Any codes around? Thanks

All credit for the codes belong with @juicyjellybaby tbh 🙂

Cyber25 was working earlier this week on most stuff.

juicyjellybaby · 04/12/2025 21:09

@Hereslookinatyoukid I thought I was doing well using a £5 Birthday voucher on the calendar! I never thought to look for another code. If I didn’t have to pay delivery I would absolutely do another order 🫢

Sorry?

The PP was HELPING another poster out who is going to use the cheese for a Xmas cheese-board rather than as a calendar, and would like to know sizes etc.

Honestly. It's an advent calendar & this is the 4th of December. Have a mince pie & chill!

I completely get they were trying to be helpful - no issue at all with someone asking about sizes or practical details. It was just the full description of the cheese behind today's door that I was hoping we could avoid, as some of us haven’t opened ours yet and want the surprise. (Some people haven't even had delivery yet.)

No drama from my side, and no desire to derail the thread, just a gentle request to keep spoilers to the spoiler threads.

Arregaithel · 04/12/2025 21:19

@christmasfish you'll have nightmares eating cheese this late 😉

BrightWolf · 04/12/2025 21:20

BeeKeeping · 04/12/2025 20:01

Is It a shareable code @BrightWolf? I’m just about to put an order in for smyths!

yes that does help @Justhereforthechristmasthreadsthank you!

I just went to get the code for you and realised it’s from 12 years ago 🤦🏼‍♀️ (it was on the play pennies website, I just assumed old codes wouldn’t be there anymore!)

Brilliant. Thank you! He'll now order awful jeans that are massive (oh, to be young!).

Carrie76 · 04/12/2025 20:21

@IlovePond thanks for replying, yes he has a cuddle cushion and weighted blanket and I’ve got him a new oodie.

For the velour type pyjamas your child likes, look at Dunnes Stores. They have this type and I’m pretty sure they have an online presence now.

I really hope you get the exact ones he likes though, being cosy matters

BananaWoman999 · 04/12/2025 21:25

Carrie76 · 04/12/2025 20:26

@Threeboystwocatsandadog they look great but out of stock in his size 😢

I have some similar velour-ey ones for my little one and they're from Tu.

They currently have these:

I'm glad there's no drama, & a gentle request. I'm just a bit foxed why anyone would be upset knowing what kind of cheese it is? The excitement is in the tasting. But, hey, we're all different.

I gave my exH his today. He's delighted, opened all 4 & sent me a pic- which I won't share!

Slowlyslowlysurely · 04/12/2025 21:38

Thanks everyone for the suggestions for bashful snowsuit Jellycat. I’ll give some local shops a try - I’m not too far from Manchester @TheBigBagBabes but won’t get there until the weekend 😩

MerylSqueak · 04/12/2025 21:38

Hi as anyone seen a good deal on Peugeot or Le Creuset salt and pepper mills? I feel a twitch coming on.....

RainbowZebraWarrior · 04/12/2025 21:39

@Reastie just a heads up my lovely that we are almost at page 38 so I reckon we will need a new thread tomorrow.

Have to admit to not having kept up with the thread, so no idea about thread titles other than to say that I am utterly baffled by the concept of 'Cheese Spoilers?'

<runs away>

UncertainPerson · 04/12/2025 21:41

@MerylSqueak I got some recently at TKMaxx for a good price.

whereareyousleep · 04/12/2025 21:43

B&M toys are on 3 for £20 this starting tomorrow finishes on 7th

VisitingSanta · 04/12/2025 21:46

Is it spoilt cheese or cheese spoilers?

I'm nearly finished shopping - huge family, and just a couple of gifts to go.

Still waiting for fahlo. Ordered 25th November, can't find a confirmation email (but will look properly tomorrow) but the money definitely came out of the bank. They seem pretty crap - hope it's worth it.

MerylSqueak · 04/12/2025 21:47

Thank you for the idea @UncertainPerson . They don't seem to have them online unfortunately. I'm 2 hours away from my nearest one.
