Thread 13 - the one with a cheesy advent calendar of 67 jumpers

Reastie · 29/11/2025 20:25

Decided to combine both thread title suggestions :)

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for helping me out and I'm so excited that I was on my computer and she tagged me so I could set this one up - hurrah!

Feeling super festive today after getting the decorations up and visiting Father Christmas. Exciting news is the Christmas bedding and jumpers are all down from the loft and being washed, so I'll soon be able to walk around in my 'I [heart] Christmas' jumper Xmas Grin

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.
Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

Went IRL shopping today and then came home and bought it all online!
ASOS- you can use code CYBER to stack against some discounts but not others. Free delivery over £40- they’ve got some lovely puma trainers and some new balance ones (can provide links if any interest on what I’ve bought for my mum to wrap for me!)
Typewriter flower Lego is down to £12.99 on Amazon and also this koto note planner which I bought last year in a similar Japanese decoration style and loved

Oh my goodness my 67 jumpers made the thread title.... disproportionately chuffed about to at! 😂 thanks Reastie - good to see you back.

IlovePond · 29/11/2025 23:01

Thanks for the new thread @Reastie - good to see you back and thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the previous ones.

I went RL shopping and was quite interested in the WStuff h/w bottles with lovely cotton quilted covers. Almost everything has 25% off and my local store had one wall with 40% discounts.

Kurt Geiger has a 50% off sale. However, there was nothing much doing in Boots, M&S and SpaceNK.

If it’s the cheese one I think for some people it pops up when you add something to the basket and someone else said it was an option when they went to their basket

Free lip conditioner on Gruum. Well, it’s £4.95 delivery but would still make a nice little stocking filler

www.gruum.com/product/offer-free-lip-conditioner-christmas-bauble/?

Just to add there are free bundles from Gruum that only cost postage (4.95) you can select one of those and also add this to it too so you get much more for your money. When it takes you to the checkout click the Gruum icon and it'll take you to the homepage where you can claim it on top of your freebies. Super cool!

mumonthehill · 30/11/2025 06:28

Welcome back @Reastie i went shopping in real life at a Mccarther Glen outlet place snd got quite a few bargains!

nicky2512 · 30/11/2025 06:59

@oatmilkisntsobad dd has the DM brand double layer socks. She also wears Blis Sox if she’s walking much as her feet blister really easily (and she has had cellulitis from a blister before so I'm taking no chances!).

YouCanLetItGo · 30/11/2025 07:04

Yay @Reastie🎄

Has anyone spotted Pokemon cards anywhere? Nephew’s request but from what I can gather the adult collectors have gone a bit crazy and most places are out of stock. I have previously bought a little set (rather than loose packets) that was around £10 and was hoping for the same again!

@XxTigerlilyxxthis is the cheese advent thing - it’s not a code

Amperoblue · 30/11/2025 07:33

Bit niche but Twickenham ( sorry Allianz) has 30% off its stadium tours.Tickets for the women’s six nations are inexpensive too.

If you can get to north London, Saracens have decent adult tickets at half price (from £15) in the Black Friday sale. Playing French teams and Exeter before Christmas, if anyone needs to get the kids out the house.

Arregaithel · 30/11/2025 07:47

@XxTigerlilyxx

log-in to Chuckling cheese and add one of the gift boxes (not the advent) to your basket, you'll then see the advent reduces to £8.99, add that to your basket too.

Whilst you're still in your basket, with the two items, remove the first gift that you don't really want and the advent will stay in your basket, for £8.99.

If you spend less than £20 you will also be charged delivery.

Not very Christmassy but I need to buy dd some socks with heel padding to wear to break in her Dr M boots. Any recommendations please?

have you tried dr martens website, they used to sell them, if not work socks are usually padded around the heel

Reasties back and all's good with the world!

Ohhdeer sale has some good stuff including paper gang boxes for £5, which are a good present for stationary loving teens.

I’ve just bought these thinking I got a bargain despite the £4 delivery. But now I realise that despite the name they are not actually double layered ones. Aargh! Serves me right for shopping whilst not fully awake 🤷🏽‍♀️

Can anyone help me with snackverse please?
looking at using the 30% off code. Has anyone signed up to the subscription? Is it right that I can sign up for a monthly fee but cancel at anytime, say after one month?
or I can send a one off gift but that’s twice as much as the monthly subscription
