@NobodyGivesADamn thanks for the title

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

@yoshiblue did you see if they had any furniture at the oxfam? Just wondering if it's worth me visiting thanks

@imnottoofussed i didn’t really see any, it was more smaller home accessories.

i went to Sainsbury's today in search of cheap lego but no major reductions. i scanned lots to double check (no buckbeaks!). the shelf edge label said until 1st Nov. anyone know if its worth me going back tomorrow? or will it all be taken down tonight?

managed to get a reduced playdoh set down from £50 to £15.

My Nespresso order arrived yesterday despite having no dispatch or tracking email which is really unusual for them. I could only get the 30 free capsules rather than the extra 50 which was super frustrating given how much we order from them lol but I am so happy to have got a new machine. I accidentally cracked the glass part of our current one and the pop is more compact and looks so much better on my worktop.

I didn’t have a subscription offer code in mine either which I’m pretty sure I read it came with. Did anyone receive one that they aren’t planning on using by any chance?

I have one going spare if you’d like it?

Justkeepsmilingx · 31/10/2024 16:18

Just got a email from Lakeland - only a tee towel - but on a £10 spend so might be worth it for someone.

Also, the spicery deal above...is this good, or do they do better deals around black Friday?

I don’t think it was any better last year for Black Friday

There are some lovely Chelsea Peers pyjamas etc on here, just bought a pair

https://www.brandalley.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=chelsea%20peers

They have loads of adult and kids ones at really good prices on tk maxx online at the minute too.

sillygoof · 31/10/2024 16:36

A lovely previous poster gave a link to a Nespresso pod converter on eBay… are you still here? Wanted to ask if you’ve used it yourself, and what pods you buy for it. My machine came today and I’m over the moon, but it’s gone away to give to myself on Christmas Day! Thanks OP!

I was just about to post this too. My store had gorgeous dressing gowns for £29.99 too. I was rushing but will be popping back to check sizing and pick some up.

Elphaba17 · 31/10/2024 16:42

Sainsbury’s have some lovely Marvel kids pyjamas reduced to £6.50 online. I got 2 different pairs and used BLC discount to get them both for £11.70 delivered to store.

I saw mention of a subscription code inside the box, I don’t think I have one, what does it do please? 🥰🎄

Pokemon fans - Just picked up BOGOF Pokemon card packs at Smyths Toys and a Flareon plush reduced from £14 to £10, reserved to collect at my local store. They have both Fuecoco and Sprigatito plushes reduced (both lead characters in the latest cartoon series on CBBC if that's useful for people who don't know much about them!)
