@NobodyGivesADamn thanks for the title

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Bum. I paid £24 last week! Can’t return either as it’s perfume. Sometimes it’s best not to be quick and hold your nerve!!

Quick question for those who ordered Nespresso machines. Do they come with any invoice paperwork in the box - anything with a price on?

Just wondering whether to let the recipient just open the whole parcel herself, or if I will need to unpack it first.

Skinny Tan perfect glow gift set reduced to £15. Got one for DD as she loved the gradual tanner from this range.

Total glitch and very store dependant of course but its worth a rummage in sainsburys - i got lego buckbeak marked as £35 on the shelf but scanned in my smart shop app at £4!! The sainsburys lady confirmed its a glitch theyre aware of but cant do anything about! Not quite so good but the 3 in 1 skate was also scanning at £7 (rrp £18) and several others further reduced.

A real life deal for those in Manchester. I went to the new Oxfam Superstore at The Fort Retail Park. Book selection both of children and adults is amazing. Got three books that were as new condition for £2 each. Also quite a few games and other toys too. Picked up a niche board game, again as new condition for £5 (sat on my Amazon Wishlist for £23!)

Definitely worth a look if you are local.

snowmanshoes · 31/10/2024 15:03

Boots have got £10 off the real techniques brushes as long as you log on and have an advantage card - so a good set is £20 basically

Confusedmeanderings · 31/10/2024 15:09

Gosh this thread is moving quickly!

Restlessinthenorth · 31/10/2024 15:18

My nespresso has come. I've been on these threads since the start and this has to be the best thing I've had. Wish I'd got two now so I could have gifted one!

GoodIsGoodEnough · 31/10/2024 15:18

@dramalamma well done! I saw that on a Facebook post last night but my Sainsbury's didn't have it. On adds Christmas list too!

GoodIsGoodEnough · 31/10/2024 15:19

DDs not "adds" - can't edit on the app.

Audubon · 31/10/2024 15:32

My PLouise lip scrub and mask kits have arrived too and are lovely, I got 1 for my 10 year old and two for the present drawer so did not dare go for the Bad Bitch ones 😂.

I've also ordered the engraved Dior Lip Oil in fancy gift packaging for my 16 year old niece, not a bargain but something I think she'll, really like. Many thanks to whoever posted about both of these.

I'm now on the look out for a Mini Yoto deal please if anyone spots one.

Audubon · 31/10/2024 15:34

Forgot to add the photos of the P Louise kits, the packaging is lovely.
