@Cupofteaandbiscuits and @NewtyCutey loved the happy reunited story with Otis.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

has anyone bought from here before? I’m trying to work out is it just the lights they’re selling? I have a Lego mad 13yo that would love this but don’t want to be spending £30 + for no Lego 😅

From what I understand its just lights

Yes it's just the lights, you need to buy the Lego separately

Wow! Thank you so much for all the magazine/comic subscriptions. I'm going to make myself a cuppa and sit down and go through them all. Much appreciated.

Don’t know if you have a Tesco club card but you can buy some magazines with your clubcard points, including children’s.

MissAnnThropeofYorkshire · 24/10/2024 11:15

Anyone know of any Victoris's Secrets spray bargains??

HopefulBeliever · 24/10/2024 11:16

Strange one but am hoping some of you lovely people can help.
I'm considering putting my tree up for the first time in 4 years (due to losing someone close at Christmas) and would really love some Danish/ Scandinavian ornaments. Can anyone recommend a budget- friendly place to order from? Thank you

redjoker · 24/10/2024 11:20

Nice heated throw here for £35

Hi could I ask those of you who’ve ordered the Tazzies cashmere fingerless gloves on ebay, if you ordered more than one pair did they come wrapped separately?

Jellybum2019 · 24/10/2024 11:43

fishfingersandchipsagain · 24/10/2024 10:01

Same! 😅

I managed to do it by popping some bits on my basket, applying my reward vouchers, pushing the basket over £30 and applying HOT10. Couldn’t get the 15% off flash sale to stack but happy enough!

Boots 4 -2 offer on green labels is back today, in store 10-4pm. I missed it last time and have some Harry Potter stuff to get my niece, so happy it's back!

Is the 4-4-2 offer in store open to everyone, you don't need a code or anything? Thanks.

imnottoofussed · 24/10/2024 12:00

@MissAnnThropeofYorkshire Next has 2 for £24 or 4 for £40

Yes, everything comes wrapped separately in tissues paper from Tazzies with "thank you' stickers on each one. I'll see of I can find a pic.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 24/10/2024 12:04

@discworlddonkey here you go. This was a pic of one of my sets of purchases from Tazzies.

I just want to say thanks for all the bargains! I got the exploding minions, benefit mascara and a lovely name necklace from etsy (wouldn't have thought to look but dd is going to love it as she really liked Rachel's on glee!)

I finally have a bargain to contribute a tresemme hairdryer for £7.79
TRESemme 2000W Fast Hair Dryer, super compact, ultra lightweight, Black amzn.eu/d/au5a1Cz hairdryer

I read that as exploding minions mascara 😂

I seem to remember getting them from B&M when my DD was into them a couple of years ago.

Oh that's a good shout. I'll have a look.

Logic12 · 24/10/2024 12:30

Just been in B&M and they have 32 piece Geomag sets for £4. The same set is £15 on Amazon, so seems to be a very good deal!

Just to say that AFAIK, the sprays B&M sell aren't Victoria's Secret. They are dupes and I think they are about £2.99
