Thread 3 - The one with the Grim Giftsets

Thanks to @SpottyBumPony for giving us such a grim code Xmas Grin

I've spent the afternoon going through the Christmas list and feeling very overwhelmed about how much to get and how much it'll all cost. I need to get control and organised.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

@Lazza24 perfect thank you. Doesn't look like it charged postage either. Bargain!

Cos1970 · 04/10/2024 15:44

@christmasfish I was going to do this for my DS for Christmas, do you know if there any other companies that do something similar?

Sux2buthen · 04/10/2024 16:03

A bit late taking part as I've been poorly and waiting for money.
On the lookout for Star Wars Lego sets that might be reasonable but look impressive!
Thankyou

Pinkprescription · 04/10/2024 16:05

Any recommendations for skincare for a Q7 year old girl with acne? We’ve tried many cheaper products and it’d be nice to give something a bit less basic

lingmerth · 04/10/2024 16:23

@IlovePond none at Lidl. Next stop Asda then B&M! Thank you

Vimaybe · 04/10/2024 16:25

Has anyone had any sights of a woodwick candle? I'll try not be too fussy but I definitely have eyes for a nice Christmas themed one 🎄

@Lazza24 thanks for the Solace link, 2 bundles bought for me and dd. Fingers crossed we get some nice ones. We’ve purchased from them before and really rate their earrings.

SpottyBumPony · 04/10/2024 17:03

Are there any Anthropologie codes that stack on the sale? I’ve tried App10 and Welcome10

PinkSkiesAtNight · 04/10/2024 17:16

@Vimaybe boots do woodwick candles, and they have them 3 for 2 at the moment! I love them too and you've reminded me that I'd like another one as well!

Does anyone know if the kuddly hoodies are any good? They have an extra 25% off

sillygoof · 04/10/2024 17:18

Just ordered Solace Jewellery mystery packs, and found code FIRST25 for 25% off if its your first order, it worked on the mystery packs, so six pairs of earrings for 16.99 delivered.

bizzey · 04/10/2024 17:32

@Gagaforgoose ...i bought them 2/3 years ago in a special deal.

Amazing value....but very big , hot and heavy !

My DC's and me found them too hot and overwhelming..but used them as snuggle blankets !

But ...but...but....

None of us were working from home .

So maybe have a different home life to others .

But I think the heavyness of it was the problem.

Quality was outstanding.
(If I had to spend a night in an igloo !)

Horses for courses I suppose....
If you keep your heating low and dont feel the cold very much ..
These are not for you. 🤣

IlovePond · 04/10/2024 17:42

Good luck @lingmerth - let us know how you get on!

IlovePond · 04/10/2024 17:43

I was just in Aldi and my local still had the giant squishies, including a couple of Pokémon.
