When do you put up your Christmas tree?

Somebody near me has their tree up now!

I usually do mine the first or second week in December although I might actually do mine during the last week in November this year.

What about everyone else?

December, not before

The weekend I have my DD (alternate with exH) that's closest to 1st December 😊

1st December, tree up lights on,gradually add the decorations. Apart from Christmas 2020,had the the tree up in mid November 🌲.

December 18th

The weekend before St Nicolas (6th December)

Tree goes up the week before Christmas and down first thing on New Years Eve

Mid-December.

This year it will be Saturday 3rd December , hate seeing them up before December. Then I keep them up till 12th night.

Middle of December between 13th and 15th and down before New Year. Feels plenty long enough for me.

First Saturday in December.

Always the closest wknd after 1st Dec.
Never before the 1st though (apart from 2020 when it went up at the end of Nov).

I've noticed a trend on social media this year of people dressing their trees for Halloween... Maybe that's what your neighbour is doing!

The first weekend in December usually. But if work/life gets in the way, then the weekend after. But I absolutely refuse to put up anything until it turns December.

All comes down day after New Year's Day.

I've got neighbours who were putting Halloween decs up as soon as it turned Oct. We've got neighbours who have Xmas decs up all year.
Some people just live for these special events. A bit mental imo, but whatever makes them happy and it hurts nobody, then fair do's!

Mine's up. It's out in the yard, been there almost two years except for being brought in around the 21st Dec to New Year.

This year, Advent begins on Sunday 27th November 2022 - some people do it then.

Last Sunday of advent. But it's up til 6th night.

The weekend before Christmas. I love it but I don’t need it for weeks on end

Christmas Eve, although we might break with tradition this year and do it on the 23rd as we'll have people over on Christmas Eve.

Mid-December. It takes me a while to decorate it and tweak the decorations.

Depends how the weekends fall but this year probably get it around the 7th and decorate it that weekend.

I love Christmas too!!

DH actually suggested not putting up a tree or any lights this year due to the energy crisis and cost of electricity - I’m sorry but I’d be utterly depressed without my Christmas decorations!
