It feels bizarre setting up the first Christmas thread on one of the hottest days of the year, yet here we are!

Lovely to see you all; take a seat and grab a mince pie as they get passed around.

Please do alert me to anything for the next thread's page of links (I'm starting fresh this year). Hope you've had a good year and looking forward to celebrating and sharing our bargain buys.

Hi Reastie 🙂 nice to see you back.

Just spotted the Playmobil 123 take along farm at Argos for £10 which is the lowest price ever (even £2 cheaper than previous low prices on Amazon)

Checking in, pre Christmas threads have been great! Works has some good Harry Potter bargains in. Some HP rubbers for £1 and notepads for £2/3. Scribbler pencil cases for £2 in store, these are the really spacious ones. DD just bought another as last year's finally gave out after a hammering!

Great to be back on the xmas threads!

There have been people asking for Octonauts stuff previously which can be hard to find. I noticed tesco (online, so perhaps not all stores) have various plushes and also some characters.
May help someone 🙂

Primark had some offers on Disney bedding this week. Singles were down to £10. They had stitch, Mickey, Winnie the Pooh etc.

They also had some other fab Disney themed stuff. I got stitch obsessed DS some stitch baking stuff and colouring book.

Who was asking about HP stuff on the other thread- anyone remember?

Aldi had a Harry Potter school bag last weekend. They also had reductions on the wooden carry along Duggee playhouse, the Paw Patrol version and the Peppa Pig version.

Maybe not the best bargain but build your own volcano from Amazon for £10 rather than £12.22 as voucher to apply. Here

Hello all! I'm quite happy to be checking in on a ridiculous hot summer's day, dreaming of it being cold and being wrapped up in blankets 😂

The prequel threads have been amazing this year, I'd say I'm about half done with my shopping for gifts so thank you all involved!

Strange question- but when it's actually Xmas do the threads get all festive and everyone talks about Xmas plans?

I love bargains and discounts but I'm also quite lonely and would love to read about what people enjoy for their festivities!

Also PSA: book Santa/ busy Christmas events now xx

I’ve been on them a couple of years (think this is my 4th as I started when pregnant with DD) and don’t really recall much Christmas plan talk…

unless you count the scrambling for Baked.in cinnamon rolls at bargain prices that people were planning for Christmas Day breakfast. They were good cinnamon rolls 🤤

Thanks Reastie. I'm checking in for my 11th year.

The heat is just phenomenal. And because or despite it, I am listening to Nigel Slaters The Christmas Chronicles on Audible. I'm not a particularly well person so don't deal well with heat. All the more reason to get sorted for Christmas early too!

Have a look on the Christmas board rather on this thread which is just for bargains - there’s loads of chat on there, I spotted earlier they’re already on the second countdown to Christmas thread which might be the sort of thing you’re after!

@Irritatedmum thank you! I'll have one for bargains and one for Christmas chat.

Also in Tesco - they're selling off their entire shoe range as don't think they're stocking shoes anymore. All half priced etc xx

Again some reduced stationary bits in sainsburys, I picked some bits up that I’ll save for stocking fillers that won’t go in the September school prep.
