The biggest gift has been to have my parents to stay and for everyone to be healthy.

However presents are nice too... I was given a spa break from DH at the hotel where we got married. My dad was given theatre tickets and my mum a special piece of pottery. DH had some lovely new cookware. DS had games, books and gadgets. DD is fully kitted out in sportswear.

All in all, very happy and pleased.

Just a few bits and bobs. Main present for each of us is to book a holiday in Boxing Day online sales tomorrow Grin

@TheGriffle

Pokémon Converse. They are ace!
My dd wants these, didn’t realise they were out yet. Might have to get them for her birthday 😊
Wagsandclaws · 25/12/2021 22:45

A gorgeous shearling bag from Balenciaga from Dh and some silk bedding from (adult) DC's. I feel very lucky.

Unicornspirit · 25/12/2021 22:47

A kindle paperwhite, a velvetiser and coffee boxes to go with it, milk tray and a glass from my 8 year old which I love as she bought it out of her own pocket money. And the best bit, she snuggled in and fell asleep on me tonight. Not had that for years. She's a "big girl" now apparently. It's made my Christmas day though.

Lovemusic33 · 25/12/2021 22:48

My best gift was £50 cash from my dad and some hand warmers from a secret Santa. I don’t have a partner to buy me gifts so I buy myself a couple gifts, this year I bought myself a pair of run and fly dungarees and some Dr Marten type boots….oh, and a country file calendar 😊

Fifipop185 · 25/12/2021 22:54

Biggest and best gift today was all of us having negative lft's so we could spend the day with my darling elderly parents. Last year we had covid.

I got a new Alexa thingy for my home office from DH as my old radio died a death a few weeks back. DS who is ASD made me a wooden tree decoration which I will treasure. DD who has had a really tough couple of years is now working and earning and bought me a gorgeous mug set and wrote me a letter saying thanks for being us and helping her to get through. Happy and grateful over here tonight.

Very very happy - only got presents from my DH and my auntie as my immediate family agreed no adult gifts this year.
Auntie got me a super thoughtful print in a frame of a special place.
DH got me gold hoop earrings, a Charlotte Tilbury eye shadow palette, cat PJs, leopard print socks, a puzzle game, a bright Orange fuzzy scarf from Oliver Bonas, some new knickers, a fancy shower oil and a diptyque perfume. Absolutely delighted!

smashingbaubles · 25/12/2021 22:56

Pearl earrings, a really lovely sentimental gift from my Mum and another from my MIL, lots of books and an Emma Bridegwater plate I wanted. Very happy.

LadyRoughDiamond · 25/12/2021 22:58

Pair of emerald earrings, jumper, hiking socks and novelty Christmas slippers. Loved everything. My husband has had a horrible few months and I treated him too as he needed cheering up.
If this year has taught me anything, it’s to celebrate the good times.

Gigia · 25/12/2021 23:02

Perfume, a bracelet, a book I wanted and a skincare set from DH
Phone case and cashmere socks from DS

Timeisavirtue · 25/12/2021 23:12

From DP and kids I got
My chelsea hoody I’d asked for
A chelsea tshirt, I already have it but don’t mind the extra
Got some Harry Potter Lego, yes I’m over 30 but I don’t care..
And some more Harry potter bits

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 25/12/2021 23:13

Very happy with everything but especially my new 'Mummy' mug! A friend bought me one when DD1 was born (she's now 2.5) and I used it every day, but the other week stupidly smashed it when I was washing up and I was gutted! DD1 was an ivf baby and the mug was the first thing I got with 'Mummy' on it.. when you've waited for so long to be a Mum things like that mean the world. DH surprised me with a new one today and I love it!

hivemindneeded · 25/12/2021 23:19

I had gorgeous presents this year. A beautiful silk kimono from DH, a cashmere sweater form his dad, new crystal champagne glasses from DS1 and new weight training kit from DS2. Feel thoroughly spoiled.

Mouseonmychair · 25/12/2021 23:22

A pasta maker, heated car seat and a book on making preserves and chutneys. Just what I wanted and very useful.

Stompythedinosaur · 25/12/2021 23:31

Nothing huge, but my gifts from dp and our dds were thoughtful. I got a hand hoe (which I had sent a link of to dp of months ago saying I wanted, but he had remembered and got it), wood sign for my garden with a quote from my favourite book and a puzzle (I love puzzles). They were perfect.

Tubs11 · 25/12/2021 23:42

I was given a Dyson hair dryer, new trainers, two superdry hoodies, super dry coat, new pj's, perfume, but my best gift was tickets to see garath Brooks in croke Park Dublin in September 😁😁😁😁😁

arlodumbledog · 26/12/2021 00:02

pinkksugarmouse · 26/12/2021 00:18

My favourite perfume, sponsorship of a Scottish Wildcat & hotel chocolat all from DH
I am very happy
DD(19) crocheted me a bookmark. She has Aspergers and aside from her favourite pursuits has a VERY short attention span so I am chuffed she managed to see it through to completion. 😊

ChristmasWithBellsOn · 26/12/2021 00:20

Some sweets that only I like (Swedish liquorice, marzipan fruits), hand cream, lip balm (Nuxe).

And the piece de resistance, a very fine, very tiny rose gold and diamond bracelet (I like very fine jewellery, by 'fine' I mean understated and discreet, rather than FIIIIIINE).

ChristmasWithBellsOn · 26/12/2021 00:25

Oh those ^ were from DH, and the diamond is a re-cut, re-set antique one, as I'm not overly keen on the diamond trade.

cherrycola7 · 26/12/2021 00:26

Received absolutely nothing and I'm so happy about that. People have finally got the message that I don't need anything
