The biggest gift has been to have my parents to stay and for everyone to be healthy.

However presents are nice too... I was given a spa break from DH at the hotel where we got married. My dad was given theatre tickets and my mum a special piece of pottery. DH had some lovely new cookware. DS had games, books and gadgets. DD is fully kitted out in sportswear.

All in all, very happy and pleased.

Very happy with all mine.

Cashmere scarf, new thermos flask, perfume discovery set, favourite sweets, chutney, a tote bag and couple bits from favourite brand of makeup.

crazysaltlady · 25/12/2021 18:21

From dh some new slippers which I really needed as old ones falling apart, some lovely bath bombs, some miniature bottles of gin (I don't drink very often, but every now and then love a G & T so mini bottles are perfect), and luxury of luxuries a pair of cashmere socks. Dc gave me a woolly hat, scarf and glove. looking forward to our Boxing Day walk tomorrow all snug and warm and feel very spoilt!

I got a cute sign for my camper van from my DH 💕💕

Sleepyteach · 25/12/2021 18:25

I got an electronic diffuser, sleep headphones, a vintage travel poster and a beautiful bracelet from husband / DD (age 2) and some lovely bits from my mum. I’m super happy with all of it, and happy that DD seems to love her presents - she got everything she asked for and couldn’t be more pleased. (She asked for an Elsa dress and a plum 😂).

BelleNoir · 25/12/2021 18:30

Sheepskin slippers, shibumi dresssing gown, gorgeous jimmy choo handbag, jewellery and other stuff feel utterly spoilt this year

RobertsRadio · 25/12/2021 18:31

@CoedenNadolig

My 7 year old got me a Morphy Richards on the go coffee maker. 🤣 with 2 travel mugs!!

My mother said he fell in love with it in the shop and exclaimed "this is just what mummy needs, because she's a busy woman, busy people like coffee"

I adore him, and will think of him as I fill my coffee cup every morning, my little poppet. 🤣

I love this ❤️. What a fantastic present and a very astute and thoughtful son you have @CoedenNadolig.
AnxiousPixie · 25/12/2021 18:33

We don't buy each other presents but always sit on Christmas day while the kids are watching telly and plan something to do together later. This morning we've booked tickets to see lion king and other London stuff. Fingers crossed COVID different scupper it in may!!

LtGreggs · 25/12/2021 18:36

Birkenstock slippers
Lovely perfume (that I asked for)
New kitchen aprons
A very carefully chosen running jacket.
Trainer drying thingies from my sister, which look epicly useful.
And a framed picture of a woman running in silhouette that DS (12) has chosen from some cheapy website but says he got it because it looks like me. It looks like Lara Croft 😂 😂

Really chuffed with all my presents.

GatoradeMeBitch · 25/12/2021 18:38

My parents got me some chocolates and smellies and £100 in Amazon vouchers

My best mate got me a voucher for a massage

pointythings · 25/12/2021 19:02

I'm a single parent of two DDs and after my husband died, I ended up fostering another so I have three. This year we have foster son's DP with us too.

It's been epic - everything has been thoughtful and creative, sourced from lots of places - eBay, Etsy, charity shops (all my 3 are students) and we've all come away with fun, thoughtful, beautiful gifts.

My foster son has created a printed album of photos from our shared Google archive documenting our first holiday as a family including him, choosing and editing the pictures and creating a narrative of our family. Before he came to us, he didn't have that kind of family and seeing the happiness in it was just amazing.

I'm incredibly fortunate in my little family.

RobertsRadio · 25/12/2021 19:02

Another who received a Roberts radio, navy blue for my kitchen.

I also received three UD eyeshadow palettes, Laura Mercier face powder Nars blusher, Mac and Nars lipsticks and Opi nail polish in lovely berry and plum shades. I am thrilled with it all. This is stuff I asked for as I threw out all my makeup last month as it was all so old it was practically a biohazard. I'm optimistic that I will be rocking those lipsticks come spring and in the meantime will wear them on walks when I know I will not have to mask up.

Manc2 · 25/12/2021 19:06

@pointythings your post made me cry! How utterly lovely xxx

Ijustwouldnt · 25/12/2021 19:13

@pointythings I love you post. I posted upthread that my DH had bought me things that weren't brand new and I loved them because they were so thoughtful.
Your photo album sounds gorgeous too - it sounds like you've had a lovely day 😊

Pipplekins · 25/12/2021 19:20

A holiday to a hotel I’ve been going on about for the last few years! Not a last minute job as he emailed the booking.

@exLtEveDallas

A dinnerware set I had coveted since the summer, but couldn’t justify buying it when there was nothing really wrong with the stuff we are using (DD told DH to buy it!) and a pair of silver hoop earrings.

Boxing Day pyjamas from DD (because I’d said if I had nice pj’s I’d spend all day in them tomorrow)

@exLtEveDallas. She's definitely growing up! How old is she now? It's so easy to lose track of the years!!
