The biggest gift has been to have my parents to stay and for everyone to be healthy.

However presents are nice too... I was given a spa break from DH at the hotel where we got married. My dad was given theatre tickets and my mum a special piece of pottery. DH had some lovely new cookware. DS had games, books and gadgets. DD is fully kitted out in sportswear.

All in all, very happy and pleased.

2 coats (picked myself), carvela handbag, perfumes off 2 of my daughters (I always love getting perfume), white trainers with rose gold trim, suede joggers (nicer than they probably sound) and some Molton brown hand lotion - orange & bergamot my absolute favourite

Snally82 · 25/12/2021 21:20

Trainers I had eyed up a while ago, belt, handbag, Hot Chocolat liqueur… all great. My husband sneakily makes notes of what I’ve looked at during the year

BertieBotts · 25/12/2021 21:22

Hot chocolate variety set
Hat (I've lost mine)
Gloves (2 pairs, smartphone enabled, one for each coat! Again always lose mine)
Snuggly blanket thing
Squeezy Marmite!! V pleased with this!
Selection box
Book
Laundry basket (was a joke present from DS3 as he causes so much washing and one of ours has broken, I'm always complaining about it)

ElephantCup · 25/12/2021 21:24

Trainers that I asked for, a funky top, new cashmere gloves, posh chocolates, several books, puzzles, and little bits and bobs like socks and nice lip balms ☺️

ReginaaPhalange · 25/12/2021 21:25

I'm due a baby in the next few weeks, so to get a new fluffy dressing gown, pyjamas, slippers and loads of fancy bath and shower gels and lotions etc was much, much appreciated! It filled my toiletry 'treat' drawer, so should last me a year lol!

I also got some perfumes from parents and DB and a lovely Pandora ring from DH which I had hinted at (sent him a link one day haha).

Agadorsparticus · 25/12/2021 21:28

I bought myself a new bottle of perfume and a good vanity mirror. Very happy with these.

Daisy829 · 25/12/2021 21:28

An Apple Watch which I didn’t know I needed but I love it already. A gorgeous charm bracelet from my mum.

Direwolfwrangler · 25/12/2021 21:31

I’m super pleased with mine. Got books,
Pjs, stuff to watch, stuff for the bath and stuff to eat. I don’t normally ask for a main present, I love a random selection of things.

KimmyKimdoo · 25/12/2021 21:33

We’re having expensive custom built in wardrobes done first week of jan as our present to each other so we agreed no little gifts on the day between DH and me. He suprised me by sending the girls in with a little box though! Beautiful earrings, I want to wear them every single day now!!!

Lulu1919 · 25/12/2021 21:33

A lovely dress from Monsoon my hubby said he saw me touching weeks ago - he too, a cheeky photo then ordered it for me

ladygindiva · 25/12/2021 21:34

A fab leather hobo bag and lovely lovely underwear from dp and a super gorgeous long cardigan from adult dd. Really chuffed, haven't taken the cardi off since unwrapping it.

Tana433 · 25/12/2021 21:35

I had mine from DH early this year. Ds moved out in august so we have a spare room for the first time. We still keep a double bed in there for infrequent visitors but i have monopolised it as an'entertainment' room. I have a leather recliner chair, bookcase full of books, table with kettle, tea, coffee etc and all the DVDs and Cds i have collected over the years. My present was a smart tv of my own so i can disappear upstairs and watch my soaps and other programmes in peace. I love having all my beautiful and familiar things in one place. It is a little haven!

RussianSpy101 · 25/12/2021 21:37

@PickAChew oh wow that is so lovely to read! Are you local? I worked at Whiteley’s for around 10 years. I hope you enjoy your gift! X

Pumpkinstace · 25/12/2021 21:38

I got a shark handheld hoover.

Sounds shit but I recently bought myself a new car and a new sofa and it's just what I wanted for cleaning them.

I also got a oodie, a set of brambly hedge books and some of that teddy bear fleece bedding.

Nice gifts.

LadyFlumpalot · 25/12/2021 21:40

I've started another thread purely to boast about my gift because I love it, so I'm happy to show it off again!

DH bought me this fabulous coat from British Retro. I LOVE IT.

If you're happy with your presents, what we're you given?
mynameisigglepiggle · 25/12/2021 21:56

@LadyFlumpalot that coat is beautiful- I used to have one similar and loved it.

@gunnersgold I wish I had your husband! What a fabulous haul!

Benmac · 25/12/2021 22:01

A lovely la redoute bag I thought was too expensive. He got t shirt and books. We are on holiday as joint present. Total bliss

Spectre8 · 25/12/2021 22:04

Spending the day with my mum and dad. I'm a big believer in creating moments not things. Today was a lovely day with my parents and esp with my mum so I'll remember this moment for a long time to come. That was the best gift.

PickAChew · 25/12/2021 22:09

I'm not local but I bought myself a pair of the lightweight glide shears when I needed some new scissors, a few months back and was so pleased with them that I decided I needed the whole set!

I'm a big fan of buying British made stuff where feasible. I bought dh some bits from Community Clothing for Christmas.

RussianSpy101 · 25/12/2021 22:12

@PickAChew that’s fab! Im glad you like them. I am still close with the current directors and they’re really lovely people.
