The biggest gift has been to have my parents to stay and for everyone to be healthy.

However presents are nice too... I was given a spa break from DH at the hotel where we got married. My dad was given theatre tickets and my mum a special piece of pottery. DH had some lovely new cookware. DS had games, books and gadgets. DD is fully kitted out in sportswear.

All in all, very happy and pleased.

Every present I received this year was spot on. From DH I got a necklace, a tanzanite eternity ring, 3 books, a cardigan, sheepskin slippers and a dress. Super happy with all of his choices, and from the DC another necklace which I love. DH is a last minute Christmas Eve shopper but he usually comes up with great gifts :) My lovely brother got me some cherry and cacao gin, some Neals Yard stuff and a couple of cook books. Lots of scented candles and bath stuff from various in-laws which will last us the whole year!

Very funny present opening here this morning. DS is 20. Just does a big Amazon order for stuff for DH.

This years he bought me a book DH also got me. Got me a book he got me for my birthday. Got Dah a book he bought him last year. And got DH a cooker book he already has.

DH and I both have issues with snoring so he got us a joint present of Breath Right Strips and a book called Shut the Fuck Up How to stop snoring.

DH got me a Cleaning Planner. Yes really. And yes he’s still alive. (I know it’s a joke present .)

He also got me stuff I wanted. New Fitbit, silver stud earrings, skin care bits and some books.

All happy here.

Longingforatikihut · 25/12/2021 15:31

Some posh pop (I don't drink) and a box of quality street. Just what I wanted.

heidbuttsupper · 25/12/2021 15:34

Electric toothbrush Grin

KitBot · 25/12/2021 15:38

A new toilet seat. I'm delighted. I'm also obviously a bit strange but I do like a comfy loo GrinXmas Blush

IncompleteSenten · 25/12/2021 15:38

I got a dove gift set, a big bottle of e45 cream and a Yardley set. Very happy.
Husband got a box of assorted hot sauces and a whiskey taster set and some spray. He's also happy. The kids got assorted stuff - electronic drums, microphone, and bits and bobs for youngest. Annual Sony sub renewal, some PS4 games, board games and bits and bobs for eldest.

All very happy.
Plus we've eaten a disgusting amount of junk and I highly doubt we're going to want dinner tonight 🤣

Nat6999 · 25/12/2021 15:43

onlychildhamster · 25/12/2021 15:50

Suqqu foundation and tickets to a musical.

I picked out the foundation but the musical tickets were DH's idea. He also wrapped a whole bunch of chocolate from our cupboard.

Bleddyansum · 25/12/2021 15:53

Biggest gift to me is In a similar vein as yours, in that DH is here for another year.

Present wise, a total fluke in that we bought each other exactly the same present! It’s a random one too - a Neom room diffuser.

Never bought anything from them before, and mine was a spur of the moment buy when out shopping with DD, as he is impossible to buy for.

Weds he rang DD and told her what he had bought, and did she think I’d like it. She kept shtum and said yes. So we now have 2!

BlowDryRat · 25/12/2021 15:54

I have chocolate, a voucher for my local beauty salon and an experience day abseiling with DH. Very happy with that!

CommanderBurnham · 25/12/2021 15:55

A Polaroid camera
A crochet kit
Chocolate
A pretty brooch which is now on my winter hat
Money, that has been spent on some trainers that just went half price in Tory Burch that I fell in love with earlier this year.

Covid, from my husband

MsJaneAusten · 25/12/2021 15:56

Wet bags for my kayak and a new belay device for climbing. I tend not to comment on the ‘what shall I buy my wife?’ threads as I suspect my suggestions would not be helpful.

Smartiepants79 · 25/12/2021 15:57

Amaretto, my favourite perfume and a new casserole dish.
A book I wanted and the best chocolate in the world!!

Farcry66 · 25/12/2021 15:57

I got a tumble dryer - which is amazing! It's not as bad as it sounds, my partner and I do not live together and our weekend time is often curtailed by me having to finish the laundry at home in the winter. He got up last night after we went to bed wheeled it into the living room and wrapped it.

He also got me a pack of 50 Jesus stickers of Jesus and amusing bible quotes - again not so random - I'm an RE teacher and I mentioned I'd run out of stickers for my GCSE classes.

This is our second year together, and he has surpassed all expectations - I'm also just mainly sitting here watching him cook dinner!!!

DutifulDaughterWifeMother · 25/12/2021 15:59

Murad, dr Barbara sturm skincare, glamglow, fraicheur ice globes, skincare. I did question whether hubby & kids were trying to tell me something………& some Elie Saab Lumiere Perfum & a Dior Scarf. Lovely gifts but I would give it up if I could have my brother back 😢 he passed away from Covid a few months ago. Hubby wanted Xmas to be special but despite trying it isn’t & it won’t be 😢. Glad you all had lovely presents

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 25/12/2021 16:01

Things to eat, things to drink, things to read. Happy as Larry. Smile Smile Smile

SparkleWhale · 25/12/2021 16:01

I am delighted with mine. I received a new moon charm for my gold charm bracelet, a Swarovski Crystal discontinued elephant that I've coveted since I was a child and DH managed to source from a dealer, and a beautiful Olivia Burton watch.

ontana · 25/12/2021 16:03

Honestly I feel so lucky this year. I got a gorgeous Xmas day outfit for Christmas Day from DH. From my mam and dad I got a beautiful cross-stitch kit from the fabled thread, and lots of lovely things in my stocking

MamaWeasel · 25/12/2021 16:08

I love reading these, we are all so, so different!

I mostly picked my own presents as I'm not keen on surprises. Loads of posh chocolate, a travel spirograph to play with, pyjamas, wrist warmers and some mosaic tiles are what I knew about. Dd 24 got me a beautiful 3 wick candle which I love and didn't know about.

HemanOrSheRa · 25/12/2021 16:10

My son is 16, started at part time job in August. I know he has been squirelling money away for christmas (and a car!). He bought DP and me the most beautiful, thoughtful gifts with his hard earned wages Smile. My absolute favourite is a pair of snuggly, hard soled slippers. Perfect size and soooooo comfy Smile. He got mixed up in some awful stuff last year and it's been a hard slog (I won't go into detail). I am so, so, so proud of him I could burst Smile.

OfMinceAndMen · 25/12/2021 16:17

My husband got me a 100 Stars kimono, some perfume, slipper socks, a Stuart McBride book, a buff for running, some chocolates, a bath bomb and a jigsaw. I love them all, very thoughtful.

Bellafrenum · 25/12/2021 16:18

Necklace, ear cuff, sloe gin, cardigan, a couple of books, bath oil, Tom Hardy calender, favourite chocolates and a bird feeder for the garden.

BHX3000 · 25/12/2021 16:19

A navy blue beanie hat from my mum, it’s so cute and warm.
‘Photo bag’ from my sister with pics of us two and of my nerdy hobby.
Bit of cash from my dad which is much needed and will go into my savings.

Very happy and thankful.

Will be exchanging gifts with my best friend in two weeks’ time, she’s got me some shoes and something else that’s still secret!

Daisiesandsweetpeas · 25/12/2021 16:21

Some books I really wanted, fluffy bed socks I was in desperate need for and a beautiful necklace that I was not expecting at all. I love everything ❤️
