How much has your food shop come to?

I’ve been out this morning. Did my whole shop in Booths, which is rare as it can be over priced… but it was quiet, compared to Aldi down the road! So I paid for less stress.

For 4 of us, 2 adults 2 kids under 13 it has cost me £162 for at least 3 days worth of meals, puddings, snacks and drinks.

I was thinking I’d done quite well!! But not I see it written down 🙈🙈

How are you guys getting on?

What feels like 5 million pounds.

We’re feeding 30 plus people and due to this the cost ate high.

Probably about £350 not including booze. £200 of that was M&S, meat came to about £100. 10 adults and 2 kids.

Booze probably £250 on top of that.

No real idea as went to Aldi, Tesco, Aldi, Morrison’s & Aldi and Tesco again over the last 6 weeks slowly getting everything.

I got an amazing Black Friday deal with Yes Chef, so our Christmas day dinner arrived yesterday - Bronze turkey crown, sprouts with chestnuts and pancetta, honey & thyme roasted carrots & parsnips, pork, cranberry and orange stuffing, braised red cabbage, goose fat potatoes, yorkies and gravy for 6 people + £37! It came with a fantastic step-by-step timing/prep guide as well.
Ive had to buy bread sauce, a vegan main dish, prawns & salad for starters, trifle ingredients, bagels, pancakes/bacon for breakfast - all from Aldi for under £15.
Boxing day we have an Aldi hog roast pork joint, dauphinoise potatoes, sweetcorn, peas and apple stuffing - also from Aldi for £20 total.

About £450 for 8 of us. 4 adults and 4 DC. We have meals for 3/4 days and that includes a bit of booze.
