Epic journey Fluffy. I was waiting in for a delivery for DD2 or I'd have offered to pick you up and take you to the station.

No decorations up yet here apart from the advent calendar. I suspect it will be the weekend at the earliest before the trees go up.

I've been out at a craft course with a friend and I'm just finishing a bit of knitting before I go to bed. Won't be much longer as I'm on the morning station run for the next two days as DH has early work commitments. 🥱

The free brownies I won is 18 a month not 6

Dds woken saying she's in pain. I've said to take some painkillers and off to school. I might be wrong but will see how it goes. I don't think time off is the best thing for her right now.

Scrap that. Dh said she's in a right state so she will have to stay home I guess.

Wreck I hope your DD is feeling better soon. She's having a tough time of it at the moment - surely a day watching Christmas films will help?

I've not long finished a big presentation for work. I hate presenting so feel a bit sick / nervy, not helped by struggling to sleep last night.

Going to pick my niece up from nursery soon so hoping her non stop talking excitement about everything will distract me.

Plan for today - work, niece, more work then to my parents for tea. Then if I'm home early enough I'll be writing DHs class cards.

I have finished wrapping the kids' presents (including the ones sent here from godparent / grandparents / Auntie Why) and we're decorating the bathroom now. We need more paint and it's no longer on offer. Obvs!

The weather is atrocious, so I'm not going anywhere fast! Other than to get more sodding paint!

I just got home. Dd is very sad as she's hungry and can't eat. I'm going to make her some mashed potato in a bit. AND the orthodontist phoned to say she needs to go back next week as they put the bracket on the tooth that needs to come out. It's forty mins away and they can only do Tuesdays and don't have any times outside of my working hours. We're all feeling pretty stressed right now. Apart from ds he's fine

DD - finally, at 8 1/2 - lost her first tooth today. It didn't go down well! 🙈🤣

Bloody hell, just had a really upset DS at bedtime. He was all excited for Christmas, but then burst into tears and I could not get out of him what was wrong. Thankfully, I'm relatively good at reading him, and with some targeted questions, and deciphering the noises which came in response, I worked out that there was a Lego set he wants that he forgot to put on his list (which has already gone!). Typically for him, it's a retired set, which is either extortionate new, or only available second hand. He had a retired / second hand one for his birthday, as he was told that if he wanted it, second hand was the only option, and he was happy with that. So...£32.50 of Nectar points (our bonus points from last week's power hour appeared today) and £1.50 in cash later, I've ordered the damn set! 🙈🤣

How wonderful that you could find it Fluffy. Will you have to twitch again to even things up for your DD?

I've just had a heart in the mouth moment after DS asked if I could tell him what he's getting for Christmas. (I didn't tell him) I'm waiting on a Funko pop set coming but it's still showing as preorder only with no indication on the website to say if it's going to be in the store by Christmas. That, a bath bomb and a book for DD1 are the only things I'm waiting on.

I think I can fudge it, thankfully! If I'm more messy with the presents, I can probably manage it! And if I swap a small Santa gift out of his sack, it should be even less noticeable.

Just ordered some thermal school socks for DS too. I'm sure he'll be happy with them!

23 DD only told me what she wants for her main present yesterday! All the others are sorted but I still need to buy celebrations for stockings and a second gift for DH plus a few oddments (this is when I twitch for both gifts and food🤦🏽‍♀️).

I have to sit on my hands around food! I will keep bloody buying it til the house is rammed Aldi have a few bits in store on 10 Dec I need!

It's very cold here today, but apparently going to be sunny. Which will be nice!

It's meant to be cold here too, max of 4°. My phone says it's currently snowing but it isn't

I'm still waiting on delivery of some stocking bits but I ordered them at the weekend which was obviously busy. One is coming today but not sure on the others.
