A star, an angel, something random... what's atop your tree?

Just a lighthearted and not-even-slightly scientific pool because I'm curious!

I'm preparing to be flamed here but I've just ordered a disco ball for the top of my thoroughly non-traditional and possibly garish tree 😁

I have a fairy my mum made, on the first Christmas she was married to my dad. 🥰 It's a jazzed-up Barrie doll, I think.

@Enko I’m Danish too 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰 and also have a Georg Jensen star topper - finally bought one last year - but I went for their newer style, the ‘Ice Flower’.

I’ve also got a collection of ornaments, candle holders for the tree and candlesticks. Love them all, a link to home.

I have a PG Tips Christmas monkey on top of mine.

Although I didn’t get to use my lovely star topper this year! It’s the first year we’ve been able to have a real tree in 8-9 years and we kept it on the smaller side as we had to keep it manageable to get home in the car. The star is too heavy for this little tree so we’re using our clip-on butterfly instead as it’s very light.

We have a fairy, it was on our tree growing up and my mum had it on her tree when she was growing up too, so it's like 50+ years old. My grandma gave it to my mum when she moved out and then my mum gave it to me when I moved out. It's quite ugly but I just love it. My dad complained about it every year but definitely grew to love it and my husband now complains every year too, but also secretly loves it (I think!)

Tinkerbell in her Christmas outfit. She perches in front of the top branch. DH always positions the lights so they light up her wings and so she holds one.

My DM also has a Tinkerbell (she got hers first when I was a teen and I wanted one for myself). Her Tink is in her green dress and sits atop the tree looking like she's flying.

I have a silver holographic glittery star with warm white fairy lights in it.

My mum has a Christmas tree fairy which was given to her by a neighbour long before I was born.

I googled the make recently as made her a new outfit and discovered she dates from the 1950s.

I have a huge soft spot for her and won't have another fairy on my tree until she gets passed down to me.

I don’t have a tree this year but for next year I want this in honour of my fav Christmas film Die Hard 😂

I never knew so many people didn’t have star or angel.

Then an ancient angel without a skirt astride the next branch down. She was on the top of the tree for many years but has now been demoted for inappropriate dress.

A felt Santa 😊

This year I have a silver star with a big pink bow underneath. But for the past 6 christmases before that I had a action-man that I made a little Santa hat for. I miss that guy, hell make a reappearance next year I think😂
