A star, an angel, something random... what's atop your tree?

Just a lighthearted and not-even-slightly scientific pool because I'm curious!

I'm preparing to be flamed here but I've just ordered a disco ball for the top of my thoroughly non-traditional and possibly garish tree 😁

We had a Llama on top of ours last year as I broke the angel. I quite liked it actually

We’ve always had an Angel. My daughter has my grandmother’s very old one on the little tree in her room. We have the one my grandmother bought for our first Christmas tree when we got married, will be the 18th Christmas on top of the tree this year.

We had a fairy on top of our tree when I was growing up. She only had one shoe, like Cinderella. Must have been a 1960's doll as she had pants on. My Nan made a new dress for the doll a couple of years before my Nan died.

I have an angel on top of our tree now. My current angel is probably our third. I purchased it from John Lewis for £25. I also purchased a snow fox tree decoration - for £8. Yes, they saw me coming !

There were some beautiful decorations. The forest seemed to be the theme. Lovely owl decoration but not that well made. I did also see the green decoration which was featured on MN recently. I even put my little finger on the hole in the rear. In the name of research of course.

I was just trying to work it out and I think this will be the 10th year he has been around. Time flies!

I love the story about your 1960's fairy, I think it's because I remember the fairy on our tree when I was little that I want one now. And not a skinny pointy-eared Gisella Graham fairy either!

Last year I bought the Bella tree topper from beauty & the beast. She looked lovely & can't wait to put her back up (once December hits)

I have a bow. I've never felt an angel or star or proper ornament sits/looks right when I do it
