I bought the coolest present for the smoker in my life today.

This is going to sound like an ad, but it isn't. So I won't mention the company name.

Its a lighter that sticks to the back of your phone sort of like a phone pop, and works like a car cigarette lighter, and you can recharge it, its totally safe so you can't accidently open it.

I bought it on offer and it just showed up and it looks so expensive and lovely.

Its the coolest thing I've bought in a long time, I'm very excited to give it on Christmas day

Just wanted to share because I'm stupidly excited about Christmas and nobody in my rl cares about these quirky little gifts I manage to find, even though it is officially Christmas season now.

Any more little gifts that anyone is super excited to give then please share, I promise I'll be excited about it

Surely people can see that a gift linked with something so closely linked with cancer, a disease which has touched the vast vast majority of us and / or our family / friend - often fatally, may be a sensitive subject

My dad would love this, are there any discount codes floating around? £20 seems steep for something so little and likely he’ll lose fairly quickly

I tried but nothing came up, also can’t even find how to add to cart so maybe out of stock. Found similar on Amazon but not one that’s magnetic.

They were very apologetic and said that they were having issues with their website, but should be fixed now.
They also offered a discount....put TiKTOK15 in at the checkout for an extra 15% off 😁

I'm assuming they are just a small company, but their customer service seems to be pretty good, someone upthread said they had called to tell them their lighter was on the way, now this. I just bought the thing and had the usual emails with tracking and whatnot, but they seem to be pretty on it.

This is why I love shopping with small businesses, I have loads of great stories from shopping on etsy too. From odd requests for tshirt printing, to not knowing about some crystals I was buying for a present and emailing the shop to ask for a bundle that couldn't be interpreted as passive aggressive in any way 🤣🤣

Cow abduction is tiny! Will make a good socking present but I wouldn’t normally spend a tenner.

I read all of the anti smoking replies on here and honestly thought that somebody should probably stop telling them their opinions are in any way wanted or valued and then maybe they would stop killing tiny pieces of my soul on a thread about a sodding lighter.

I have absolutely no judgement re buying lighters for smokers

But I totally understand how, given how cancer has taken so many from so many families, I can see that some may come to this thread and seem to “judge” but it’s probably based on fact they really did lose their father / brother / sister / aunt - to cancer

Christ, I been smoking a long arsed time. I know the risks, I dont want to stop and I dont care if I get lung cancer or any other cancer. We all die one day, no one lives forever, may as well be happy while I'm alive, not miserable and patronising.
