I have just ordered dh a t shirt to replace a favourite one he bought in the States many years ago that is falling to pieces. He will love this.
Other than that and the usual toblerone/beer I have no idea what to get him!
My dad is also hard to buy for so I just wondered what everyone else was getting for male relatives/partners for a bit of inspiration!

Dh is getting:
Whiskey, some parts for his motorbikes and new leathers, some gym clothes, aftershave, matching Dr Martens, a spice/coffee bean grinder, indoor greenhouse and some herb plants to go in it. After reading through this thread I've ordered him some shower steam thingies and looking into the foraging experience.

FIL is getting a picnic basket with plates and cutlery for his days out with the grandkids and I'm making a hamper of things like naice wine, cheese, a personalised serving board, some chili apricot jam, and a national trust membership.

My older and adult nephews are getting hampers with beer/whiskey/rum, chocolates, a book, mugs, aftershave, lush products etc.

Homesense have some 'manly' candles (tobacco, leather, sandalwood - very man smells apparently) for tricky to buy for men- I've bought a few as backup gifts in case we get unexpected guests.

bananaboats · 14/11/2021 21:47

For DH I've got a polo shirt, a couple of books he wanted (1 pretty pricy so its a 'big present), craft beer glass, board game & framed print. Stocking - chocolates, shower gel, bubble bath, steak seasoning & socks

FILs getting a new coat & will probably get some chocolates to go with it as its quite expensive.

I only have my sons. We exchange small gifts, and try to find unusual stuff. This year, they are both getting cigarette lighter plugs for their cars. Spawn 1's says "FIRE MISSILES" and Spawn 2's says "EJECT." Not the least bit expensive, but things that I know will tickle their senses of humor. Spawn 1 will also get a trinket box with a dragon on it, and Spawn 2 will get one with a wolf.

A thermal coffee plunger mug for him to use at work, a tenner on Amazon.
That's his lot.
I don't buy for anyone else.

Agreed not to spend a fortune to put ££ toward a big holiday for next year if covid lets us.
A long sleeve running top
Running cap.

That’s it… feel a bit tight reading the rest of these Blush

I got dh one of those about 3 Christmases ago and it was one of the most successful gifts ever! He bought me one the following Christmas and they have saved us a fortune buying coffees on days out and so on.

LifeOfBriony · 15/11/2021 20:56

I've got this book for my brother: www.amazon.co.uk/Random-Maps-World-Over-Unusual/dp/1914317068/ref=sr_1_1?s=amazon-devices&keywords=random+maps&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1637009600&sr=1-1

It arrived today and it's brilliant if you like maps. I hope he will be as pleased with it as I am!

shivawn · 17/11/2021 10:04

We've booked a holiday to Mexico in early Jan instead of gifts although with case numbers rising we might end up postponing it.

Runaway1 · 17/11/2021 11:27

Whisky, new John Le carre book, sports massage roller, chocolate. I’m also thinking of suggesting we get tickets for something to do together as a joint present for ourselves

BearSoFair · 18/11/2021 11:44

DH:
New waterproof jacket because he won't buy one himself despite always getting damp shoulders through his current one Confused
Hot sauce set
James Haskell book

19yo DS1:
Synth sounds guitar pedal
Dave Grohl book
Peaky Blinders pint glass

pinkksugarmouse · 18/11/2021 11:49

Shirts and slippers for my DH. Not very exciting but it’s what he has asked for. There isn’t anything he really wants. I am hoping a suitable book will come out in time. We will also get a box of chocolates each from hotel chocolat but he orders those so…

desperatehousewife21 · 19/11/2021 07:11

Just thought I’d jump back on to say the bill Bailey bird book was a huge hit with DF (it was a bday present rather than for Xmas, but still got the idea from this thread)

Still struggling for ideas for DH, got him a set of Rolling Stones print boxers, got some black joggers and borg lined slipper socks on the Next wish list (hoping for a Black Friday deal) also going to get him a bottle of Kraken rum, a PlayStation game and one of those large Xmas boxes of Toffiffee (bit of a running joke, I get them every bday and Xmas , although he does like them!) so nothing very big or exciting but have struggled this year.

clpsmum · 19/11/2021 07:41

I've bought a belt made from a motorbike tyre, a hoodie, concert tickets, beard trimmer apron, bottle of whisky, chocs and his name on the wing of the Vulcan plane thing

MrsJohnBender84 · 19/11/2021 12:34

New dressing gown and golf umbrella from the kids and I'm getting him the Paddy McGuiness auto biography as he loves him,we have an autistic child so he likes the advice from the McGuiness's to. 😁

SquidGame999 · 19/11/2021 16:22

A particular brand of coffee from the USA and a mug with the brand name on it. I don't think he remembers telling me about it so hope he'll be surprised.

BonnesVacances · 19/11/2021 18:26

@NecklessMumster

I want to get DS 19 a hair wrap towel as his hair is long and he leaves it to dry (drip) but the cheap ones have bad reviews and I didn't want to spend £30 on a stocking filler type present that he might not use/lose
I recommend these hair towels. www.goodwashday.com They're made of the same material as T-shirts and are really good for the hair. I swear by them.
tiktokniknok · 19/11/2021 18:29

All you ladies that are buying shower steamers for your male partners and Ds's where are you getting more masculine smelling ones? I've perused the interweb and can't find any!

BonnesVacances · 19/11/2021 18:36

I quite fancy the shower steamers. But having zoomed in on the instructions card on the brand recommended on here and seeing tries spelt as try's, I've lost confidence in the company. Might have a look for another brand as they're a good idea.

zebrarobot · 19/11/2021 20:52

Dh wireless earbuds and engraved leather bracelet. A stocking of edible goodies.

For my dad, fishing gloves, a personalised wooden bookmark from the kids and a magnetic wrist cuff for screws etc. Hes a real diy-er. Probably some fancy biscuits or toffees too.

Whatliesbeneath707 · 20/11/2021 08:10

Can I ask if the Bill Bailey bird book has pictures/photos in please?
Thanks.
