I have just ordered dh a t shirt to replace a favourite one he bought in the States many years ago that is falling to pieces. He will love this.
Other than that and the usual toblerone/beer I have no idea what to get him!
My dad is also hard to buy for so I just wondered what everyone else was getting for male relatives/partners for a bit of inspiration!

@NecklessMumster rather than a hair wrap, a micro fibre towel is just as good for drying long hair and often cheaper than the specific hair wraps

NecklessMumster · 04/11/2021 12:22

fizzy oranges chiara montague thank you. I'll look at ikea

DiamondBright · 04/11/2021 12:46

DP is a bit tricky to buy for, I've got him a tablet to replace his very old iPad, it's not an iPad but a well reviewed Samsung, hopefully it'll be ok but it can be returned if not. Fingers crossed that he doesn't buy himself a new tablet in the meantime. I've also bought a case for it which can't be returned so further fingers crossed.

I've got him a nice Emma Bridgewater mug to keep at my house and then stocking fillers are,

A Star Wars T-shirt
Socks with spitfires
Harry's hair taming cream (was in last years stocking and has been repurchased)
Harrods mustard (It's a joke thing I do buying him posh condiments)

I may add some sweets or chocolate to the stocking but I'm pretty much done.

@pompomsgalore

A mushroom foraging identification experience
@pompomsgalore do you mind if I ask you where that's from, my dh would love that!
Georgieporgie29 · 04/11/2021 13:52

mmgirish · 04/11/2021 17:46

@Not2daySatan

Can you recommend any flavours of those shower steamers?

pompomsgalore · 04/11/2021 17:52

@WhereIsMyGlasses well o actually searches on my local community Facebook page and I'd seen someone had advertised so she's purely local to South East Wales but you could do the same for your area.

WhereIsMyGlasses · 04/11/2021 18:27

Thanks @pompomsgalore will do, I didn't think of Facebook. I've seen it online but just none locally, or actually anywhere nearby but worth a try.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 04/11/2021 18:41

@mmgirish, I’ve bought 7 different scented shower steamers from Bubble and Bathe (lots of nieces to buy little token presents for!) The ones I have are: candy cane, gingerbread, cranberry, hot cocoa, apple pie, peppermint and mulled wine. I haven’t used any of them as they are all little gifts, but just from the smell of the box, the only one I’m keen on is the apple pie…it smells very strongly of cinnamon and overpowers any other scent! All the other smell gorgeous to me…the mulled wine doesn’t smell very much like mulled wine, but it’s nice and fruity.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 04/11/2021 18:42

Sorry, that should say NOT keen on!

@FireworkParrot thankyou, I have added that to my basket, should go down well as last night he was doing weird and wonderful things with the bottle while pouring wine because google said it will aerate it Hmm

pompomsgalore · 05/11/2021 19:01

I went to Tiger today and bought a couple of stocking fillers. A Velcro game where you wear a hat and balls that you throw at the wearer. £5

Also a Christmas mug that changed colour when hot drinks are in. £3

From our local delicatessen I bought hazelnut ground coffee £4 and posh pomegranate Turkish delight. £6

1 shirt from tkmaxx (think broke back mountain style). £8 bargain
1 corduroy shirt from h and m £18
1 photo frame from charity shop that I'll put photos in. £3
1 experience: either mushroom foraging as I previously said or canyoning. See pictures attached. Cost £40.

And I feel done to be honest

Kenworthington · 05/11/2021 19:03

A pair of walking poles. For hiking on the moor. He asked for them. I’d usually buy hun quite a bit but just those this year. I’m running out of options tbh

Last year I got dh an o ooni pizza oven & it was a HUGE hit. I've set the bar high now though.
I'm thinking about a sage coffee machine this year!
A few years ago I started doing stockings for him, he never really had one as a child & he grew to really love doing dd's when she was young.
Once we hit tern years we expanded to doing them for us too. I do his & he does mine. We both LOVE them & put lots of thought into them.

So this year I'm thinking main present:
Sage coffee machine & coffee beans

Stocking:
Anthropologie lovely mug for coffee
Fancy biscuits (for coffee - running with the theme here!)
Small bottle of port - an annual gift
Box leonidas dark chocolate cherry liquors
Nice socks
Leather belt
A book - not sure which one yet
Moleskin notebook
Pork scratchings (we hate them, he loves them)

That might be it

Last year I made up stockings for my parents too & left them at their door step in lock down. They loved them so might have to replicate them this year too. Much harder to do though as they have most things & don't have any interests.

Mosky · 06/11/2021 12:00

Got the Bill Bailey bird book for DS23 thanks to whoever mentioned it.
I think he would like an oodie as well as he lives in a cold flat!
DS25 has a birthday a week after Christmas and I'm stuck. He's asked for some framed photographs for his new house.

Maybe a themed stocking like gorgeous toiletries or a good one with yummy treats.

I do love a theme.

IggyAce · 06/11/2021 16:16

I have just ordered my 19yo ds a flying lesson at our local airport - in fact with the bargainous deal I got he's getting 2 x 30 mins lessons for less than the price of one 30 mins lesson! I am so excited and happy right now as he was the one I was stuck on!
It was with Buyagift and I went via Quidco for 16% cash back. Then code YULE gets you 21% off, rising to 23% off if over £100. So I got a gift that is normally around £260 for £113 (not counting the cash back). Plus he will absolutely love it. Loads of experiences on there and no min spend.
