I have just ordered dh a t shirt to replace a favourite one he bought in the States many years ago that is falling to pieces. He will love this.
Other than that and the usual toblerone/beer I have no idea what to get him!
My dad is also hard to buy for so I just wondered what everyone else was getting for male relatives/partners for a bit of inspiration!

@Ponceyponcec I just checked and the one I've got is the Vinenco selection aerator, currently £12.99 on Amazon it's never leaked.... brilliant little thing.

jocktamsonsbairn · 03/11/2021 07:45

Does anyone have a code or a referral link for Harry's shaving sets? I remember lots from last year but think it's something DS would like - he knew what he wanted this time last year so I didn't get one.

He's nearly 20 and so far I have bought him a Darth Vader Lego set and some Calvin Klein boxers...
For my dad I have bought leather slippers with a hard sole and restaurant vouchers.

@Flambola

I'm a big fan of the bidet, too, but am not brave enough for one with cold water only 😁

TheUndeadLovelinessOfDemons · 03/11/2021 09:00

I don't know what DH wants. I always buy DS1 a Lego eGift card because he's obsessed and I daren't buy him set in case he's already got it. I buy the eGift card as he can't travel far so orders all his Lego online.

psuedocream3 · 03/11/2021 12:44

I have so far bought DH:
Aftershave
Rum
Afternoon Tea for 2 - in a bid to encourage him to do days out together
Clarins gift sets

I need a main gift, possibly a newer apple watch but not sure it would be appreciated if the old one works ok. He has mentioned he needs new lenses for his camera but I expect they are probably very expensive, and may not get any real use timewise.

Other ideas are slipper boots, shaving subscription, something to help his family tree research - he has had the ancestry dna and loved it so no idea what else I could get to enhance the hobby, chocolate, socks/underwear/pjs, he has an xbox one but has never mentioned any games he wants.

Why are men so hard? I can think of a million things I would like lol

TorySteller · 03/11/2021 14:16

DH’s list:

A sunrise alarm clock
His favourite (expensive) skincare
Ray Bans
Thermal socks
Kindle + cover

louloulemons · 03/11/2021 14:54

So many good ideas here! I’m going to be buying a few of these!!

I’m getting a golf bag and some lessons as DH has taken that up recently

NecklessMumster · 03/11/2021 15:15

I want to get DS 19 a hair wrap towel as his hair is long and he leaves it to dry (drip) but the cheap ones have bad reviews and I didn't want to spend £30 on a stocking filler type present that he might not use/lose

jocktamsonsbairn · 03/11/2021 18:07

I have just bought tickets for the "war of the worlds" musical which is on next April for my ddad from my dm. Just in case that would help anyone!

Florence08 · 03/11/2021 18:43

Thanks @ok1more. Tile mate cheaper than AirTag Smile

Zarene · 03/11/2021 18:59

DF is getting a book about the history of Private Eye.

DBro probably a cooking kit subscription of some sort.

I'm now contemplating the bidet thing for DH, but he might think I've cracked when he opens it.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 03/11/2021 19:13

@Zarene Private Eye book might appeal to my DB. Had a quick Google and can't find anything recent - can you link please as would solve one of my most difficult men present problems!

Zarene · 03/11/2021 19:50

@RockingMyFiftiesNot here you go - sorry for the long link!

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 03/11/2021 19:53

@Zarene thank you so much, one of the most difficult ticked off the list!

AdoraBell · 03/11/2021 19:57

Rugby sweatshirt and a fleece. Funds are low this year and he has everything he needs/wants other than a yacht.

FizzyOranges · 03/11/2021 21:46

I've got some from IKEA and I really rate them. 100% cotton and only a few quid.

I got dh tickets for that a few years ago. It was brilliant, he still talks about it!

Whichwitches · 03/11/2021 23:17

Gadget Show bods have a book out
Think it will cover several of my “difficult to buy for” recipients, male and female.

Lightswitch123 · 03/11/2021 23:32

Some great ideas on here. DH always impossible!

Trumpton · 04/11/2021 05:50

Fire pit not sure which one yet but it’s for sil for when they go camping.
I will probably get some extending marshmallow roasting forks to go with it.
At the moment they take the base of the old chiminea with them so a folding fire is perfect.
