Before I nod off in a food / booze coma, here is our new thread!

We've had a lovely, chilled, day building Lego. I should probably eat more cheese to really finish the day in style though. 🧀🧀🧀

Thanks fluffy! We have had a lovely day too. Just about to eat our Christmas Dinner and will be hitting the cheese once DS is in bed :)

It has been really nice but next year I very much hope we can have a family Christmas. It seems that for most people this quiet Christmas is the pleasant change but for us it is the norm and a family Christmas will be a nice change :)

Had a good day here as well. Just considering what food to take to work tonight. Certainly not ready to eat just yet. I am picking my boss up as she has eaten too much to drive 🤣

Me and Dh have agreed that we're either going to do a massive Christmas Eve party next year or go to center parcs if he can get the time off work.

It's been a really nice day. Made me realise what really makes Christmas for me (and it's not all the poncing and stuff I always want to do and never get around to).

I've eaten so much I could burst. Recovering and Watching Christmas with the Kranks as DH had never seen it 😱

Similar to you Neros, I don't think we'll be able to afford to go away for Christmas next year so am planning 2 parties in December - one friends & one family.

Been a good day but so exhausted from setting up about 8 playmobil sets!

We only had one lot of Playmobil and that was bad enough. It wasn't even a full set. We have 12 Lego sets in total though.

I start saving in January set amounts, for me it’s Been quality over quantity and I want that for next year.

Hello chips long time no see .

We had dinner at 5pm ( always after dark) I spent the day faffing about idle-ly chopping and peeling a load of vegetables .

Spoke to parents and DBro/SiL on phone .

Luckily no Playmobil or Lego sets here to set up . The DC were fairly easy to buy presents for (DD ordered things online , DS had his guitar , and they got some other small presents (useful things)

I ordered myself a new handbag ( QVC )

I cannot eat late at night (or loads of cheese ) or I'll be up all night with heartburn !

Hello 👋 Hope you've all had a lovely day. DH and I were up at 6 and have just collapsed into bed.

DD was non stop all day, she's been brilliant fun, but hopefully she'll be less crazy tomorrow.

We're doing our Christmas Dinner tomorrow and I'm very much looking forward to my pigs in blankets!

I'm digging at the allotment tomorrow. The excitement never ends! I'm exhausted now but we needed to set the Switch up else we'd have rioting kids tomorrow.

They've been so good about not setting it up today and played mostly with Lego and the Playmobil rocket (we bought the shuttle to go with the rocket which DS got for his birthday).

Christmas dinner is on Sunday.

I'm eating a whole chocolate trifle.

Morning! It's still quiet in our house...but bedtime wasn't until 9pm, what with all the excitement and playing.

The Switch has now been set up, so let the arguments begin. 🙈😂

Chips, was it a good trifle? I prefer chocolate trifle to traditional. 😋

DS was up at 5:30 but DH got up with him. We had to make 2 Playmobil sets yesterday and that was bad enough!

Today is a bit of tidying, a nice walk and then grazing on buffet food all day while enjoying our gifts.

Ds got up at 7:30 I think and dd about 8. I will mainly be tidying, sorting washing and eating today.

Well, Christmas day went better than expected. Opening gifts on Zoom was not nearly as difficult as I thought it might be so not a bad day at all all said. Still felt weird though with 2 offspring not actually being in the room. Hoping for everybody to be here next year but who knows what tge year may bring. Maybe better not to know really! Still have enough Christmasy food to feed the 5000, purchased when Boris promised a proper Christmas and then reneged due to our new Covid strains. Ah well... So many worse off so should be very grateful

Good morning! I'm still lazing in bed, although I will get up in a minute. DH has been downstairs playing barbies with M since 7 so its probably my turn to take over.

I think I might drag M out for a little walk. It'll do her good to get out again. We went for a quick walk yesterday, it was gorgeous!
