I've got the bits and pieces and I'm lacking a decent sized gift. Any inspiration? Thanks

Rebuild of a gaming pc...
And electric guitar and amp for 15th birthday on 27th Dec

TableCat · 08/12/2020 20:25

A smart watch - but the only other things he is getting are a selection box and his stocking.

Chasingsquirrels · 08/12/2020 20:25

I haven't this year, there is nothing he wants.
He did have a computer for his Christmas & Jan birthday 2 years ago, and a new phone last year, so I'm not feeling too bag about not getting him a main present.

Having said that I haven't got a lot of bits either.....

Curved monitor for gaming

kfh · 08/12/2020 20:27

A gaming pc that we have saved for and is hopefully an investment and will last him years

PegasusReturns · 08/12/2020 20:27

Components for gaming PC, big Lego and for the first time ever he has asked for clothes but everything I wave in front of him he practically gags.

Really struggling with the stocking bits which are super easy for his younger brother and two sisters

Gaming chair
Earbuds

KingCatMeowInSpace · 08/12/2020 20:30

Dart Board

reefedsail · 08/12/2020 20:32

Well, mine's 10 but he thinks he's 14.

A rebuilt gaming pc with curved monitor and a flash new fish tank for his goldfish (who will be getting a couple of new tankmates).

cormorantes · 08/12/2020 20:32

Gaming Pc parts for one, replacement phone for the other.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 08/12/2020 20:34

Some decent wireless headphones. He just came up with that idea. We've been asking for weeks what he wants and he didn't want anything. Have quickly ordered some! I'd get him a gaming chair but we haven't the space right now. Trying to move house though so may get him one for his birthday if we have moved by then

Techway · 08/12/2020 20:34

Can I ask those that got or getting a Gaming PC, what and where did you buy it?

PeskyRooks · 08/12/2020 20:35

A pair of Nike Vapormax. They are blooming pricey that's all he's getting!

Littlebeach · 08/12/2020 20:36

A smart watch, we managed to get into town last weekend to chose it. That and a new Xbox controller and then just little stocking bits.

clpsmum · 08/12/2020 20:37

Ps5

HollyJollyDillydolly · 08/12/2020 20:38

Oculus quest 2 Vr headset thingy.

Pikachubaby · 08/12/2020 20:39

Where did you get the PS5?!

HavingTroubleSleeping · 08/12/2020 20:39

If I'm honest, I haven't bought him anything yet (sounds terrible I know) but every time I ask him what would he like, he says that he doesn't want anything.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but how would you all deal with this situation?

Should I just take him shopping after Christmas?

Thanks Smile

I got mine from a local guy who builds them. He advertises on gumtree. However, I have a very techy brother who was able to vet the add and tell me for some adjustments to ask for. I wouldn't have been able to source one that way on my own.
BobBobBobbing · 08/12/2020 20:42

He'll be 14 in Jan- we've got him parts for a gaming PC he's building (he sent me a list and I just pay Grin ) and he's getting a curved gaming monitor for his birthday.

We've also just got a large inheritance through so are buying another big gift as a last present from his Nanna and Granddad- that's going to be a new telescope as he's really into astronomy.

Fuzzywuzzyface · 08/12/2020 20:42

Ridiculously expensive Nike trainers

Flaunch · 08/12/2020 20:42

New Xbox & games, some books some pens and some pyjamas

OctaviaOrange · 08/12/2020 20:45

@HavingTroubleSleeping I'd buy the following ...

Big selection box
Pringles
Fizzy drinks in a mini drinks fridge
A gaming card?
Fiddle toys or a fidget spinner
Books/ gaming stuff/ a new lamp / Oodie type thing
Cash

And then take him shopping afterwards, depending on your budget
