I've got the bits and pieces and I'm lacking a decent sized gift. Any inspiration? Thanks

We have DS14 and Ds16

They are getting a large Smart Tv for their games room and

DS 14
LED lights and DOT to control them (?)
Clothes
Renewed golf membership
F1 merch
Golf shoes
Book
American sweets and candy
PS4 game: FIFA 21

DS16
Wireless headphones
Clothes
Renewed golf membership
F1 merch
Nike air max
Book
American sweets and candy
PS4 game: F1 21

They share a lot of similar interests, except one loves soccer the other detests it. Happily it means they get on brilliantly

@SuePreem yes I definitely think for beginning to learn it’s best to start with an acoustic guitar. You are best going into a shop with your son, as he will need to make sure it fits him well (they come in different sizes) Also they can feel quite different when holding them into position he’ll know by the feel which one is best suited to him. Plus the people in the store double check and make sure the strings are in tune and give useful tips.

If you can’t make it into a store before Christmas, you could try get a voucher for the store, or create an oversize novelty guitar voucher, just so it’s there on the day (I’ve done this a few times) then after Christmas take him out to get the guitar.

Ok so I'm loving the way it started as what we were buying our own 14 yo boy, but the thread changed!! I feel like we're being criticised for buying 'normal' things!
DS got his oculus quest for his birthday- it's fab!

I bought one of my teens a sushi making kit, as he loves cooking and raves about sushi Grin

Bit niche maybe

Like the idea of Wagamama cookbook too!

After catching up on this thread (with some great ideas so thank you OP!) I have had one of those lovely random conversations that sometimes happen, with my 14 yo DS about top hats. Thank you MN for the laugh on a Sunday morning

A pit bike but it's from his Granada as well and he put money towards it
