With this lockdown stuff I can think of no better distraction than Christmas! Online present hunting will he even more important right now too.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Does anyone know anything about amiibos? DH has a Switch but I can’t figure out if any amiibo would work with it, or if some are specific to the WiiU, for example.

woodwaj · 08/11/2020 10:44

Thanks for the tea recommendations I will take a look at them today :)

winewolfhowls · 08/11/2020 10:47

I've decided that the men in my life need some bootbananas, they are currently 12 quid on millets and blacks reduced, can anyone make this an even better deal with a free delivery code for either shop?

I don't have a code but can highly recommend them

@ArthurChristmas2

Are there any suggestions for family PJ sets? Husband has always refused but DD started a conversation on them last night and he has now said it would really cheer her up if we all wore them! Just checked Aldi but don’t have the right sizes for us. I like ones that are very Christmassy so Alder Hay ones don’t normally meet the requirement. Aren’t able to shop in person so need online versions please.
I ordered the family tartan set from Home bargains yesterday. Tartan family set here kids £6.99 adults £11.99 Also had Elf family set £4.99 kids £9.99 adults Free delivery over £50

Mountain Warehouse have no delivery charge this weekend.

Use "MIHSM" for an extra 20% off. Woks on sale stuff too.

girlsyearapart · 08/11/2020 11:29

new look has 25% off everything for the next two days

Puffalicious · 08/11/2020 11:32

springlike perfect! DS2 is after some trainers which are £90 (not bad compared to some of them) but that makes them positively bargainous. Thankyou.

Chocolateteabag · 08/11/2020 11:36

@Bryna - I've just ordered a Siku combine from LittleFarmers I couldn't find a discount code but they had the best price for the model I was looking for - even better than Amazon uk.
Amazon.de was cheaper if delivered to Germany but once I put in the UK address, the costs put it higher (and it was Amazon, not a "fulfilled by" Amazon)

So as a PP has said - search by the model number if you are looking for a specific model.
We have used in the past:
Scale farm
farmtoysonline
www.tannertrading.co.uk - have a sale on farm toys at the mo

JaneyJimplin · 08/11/2020 11:36

@Arthien I wouldn't claim to be an expert, but I've been doing some research as ds2 wants amiibos.

They don't all work with all games, so you need to check they're compatible. For example, I've ordered him a mario amiibo in wedding clothes that works with Mario Odyssey but won't work with smash bros.

Try cex for secondhand amiibos, they come with warranty. Or amazon have some too.

WhereTheresAHill · 08/11/2020 11:36

@winewolfhowls when I googled (to see what these were) Google suggests this code for blacks - only valid today I think

TimeToCloseTheDoor · 08/11/2020 11:54

Those thinking about the velvetiser - I bought one for myself and have been grating galaxy dark chocolate bars, 35g per cup and it’s a lovely cheaper option than the sachets.

Famousthehero · 08/11/2020 11:56

Amazing thanks @Blankiefan! Needed some waterproof trousers for our daughter, 20% off the sale brought them to a price I would actually pay Smile

sorryiasked · 08/11/2020 11:59

Anyone else just googled boot bananas and thought ooh now there's an idea 😁

@Reastie filling up again

Reastie · 08/11/2020 12:02

@MummyPig89 Thanks very much for the Aldi PJ heads up. I had checked at 12:30 & they weren't there but managed to get all the sizes I needed when I saw your post at about 6. I looked again at 10 to show DH what I'd got and they were practically sold out already!

Also @Reastie getting close again Smile

IggyAce · 08/11/2020 12:04

@Blankiefan thanks for the mountain warehouse info that’s a new gilet for me and a fleece for ds delivered for just over £20 absolute bargain.

BellsaRinging · 08/11/2020 12:11

I have a question/request-sorry if it's in the wrong place but I need Christmas give mind, and thought of you lot!
I started a new job in lockdown 1 and manage a team who I have never met! I have 3 (male, middle aged) direct reports and further 6 people in the team who report to one of my reports, but I do a lot of team stuff and lead the team as a whole. 6 people are range of ages and sexes from 30-60 odd.
I want to give presents at Christmas (all celebrate loosely, so no issues there) but I need some generic presents which will be not crap. I would spend c£10 on the 6 people and c£20 on the others.
I am massively unsure on what to get. As we are working remotely it would have to be free delivery to each individual. I have amazon prime, so basically it would have to be there or free delivery elsewhere, difficult because of budget.
I thought of beer for the direct reports (all drink) and have found a set of 5 with a snack and glass within budget. What do you think? And for the others? I am down to a 3 mini gin pack or perhaps a retro sweet hamper thing-all have children or grandchildren so even if they think it's rubbish it would prob get used?
I am open to ideas-I am all out, please help!

LutherRalph1 · 08/11/2020 12:11

Has anybody ever bought sealskinz waterproof socks and would you recommend?

Also any ideas where I could nab a bargain pair ( other than amazon which seems cheapest at the moment)

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 08/11/2020 12:16

How are you all getting emails from M&S? I've been on live chat and they've never offered to cancel or reorder, nor do I have emails..... Should I call them?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/11/2020 12:20

We always have Christmas pjs. I've got these ones from Matalan. The navy for the four ds & DH and the pink for me. Usually I spend loads on them but these aren't very expensive.

Christmas pjs

NoWordForFluffy · 08/11/2020 12:25

@chocolatepudandchocolatesauce, what cock and bull version of the story did you get though, when you queried where it was?!

I rang them, but think I'd have got better service via online chat, potentially!

Sunshineskies · 08/11/2020 12:31

Oh my gosh, I ordered £80 with of stuff from
New look last night 😭
