With this lockdown stuff I can think of no better distraction than Christmas! Online present hunting will he even more important right now too.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Anyone know of any good deals on Roald Dahl books? Ideally The Witches, either on its own or as part of a small set.

deemeff · 03/11/2020 18:52

Apologies if you all already know this, but just spotted in the “what have you bought today” thread that Tiger have an online site! I’m very excited about this as we head into Lockdown

WH SMITH STAT20 for 20% off stationary til 8th Nov

@CaramelCandle try Asda for Roald Dahl? They have the witches in their 2 for £7 offer?

Chocolateteabag · 03/11/2020 19:10

@CaramelCandle - sorry - also worth trying the Book Depository for Roald Dahl sets - but they don't have one with the Witches in it (remember top cashback too)

Someone was looking for an aromatherapy diffuser? I got this one a while ago and it’s lovely. The Tisserand oils are really nice too. Bizarrely the diffuser itself is in subscribe and save, so if you use that then you can save up to 15% on it.

Any codes for Dunelm please? Not only have I filled up a shopping basket with decorations and wrapping paper, but we need a load of curtains too.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 03/11/2020 19:18

Thanks for the new thread @Reastie

Has anyone seen any advent calendars suitable for 4 & 7 year old Ds please.

Both my younger boys are Harry Potter obsessed so going to see if anything is left at M&S

Scout2016 · 03/11/2020 19:27

Anyone know where I can get cheap Space Masks or an alternative version please, or have a code for somewhere that sells them? There was a cult beauty code earlier but might have been snaffled by someone speedier as didn't work.

BicycleMadeForTwo · 03/11/2020 19:45

@oatmilkisntsobad Try AUTUMN20 for House of Fraser for 20% off, not valid on items already reduced. If that doesn’t work PM and you can try my student discount code.

gavisconismyfriend · 03/11/2020 19:48

@CaramelCandle books2door have it as part of a small set of 7 Roald Dahl plays for £14.99 or a full set of his books for under £30 (instead of £105)

ArthurChristmas2 · 03/11/2020 20:18

Can anyone help! I’ve realised I need to find a gift for a couple, around £10. In their early 70s but active and trendy. I’ve done candles, chocolates, biscuits, coffee etc all before. Any exciting ideas?!

@Scout2016 I saw in Superdrug today they have eye masks similar to space masks but much cheaper - here

myhobbyisouting · 03/11/2020 20:38

Appropriate thread title. I just found myself reading the active threads and getting frustrated and then I remembered the sanctuary that is the Christmas boards! Phew

My first gin hamper came today. Still waiting on the second one, apparently they are shipped separately

Ewock · 03/11/2020 20:47

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here. All your bargain finds have helped me but more than that this year these threads have made me smile, laugh and feel just happier. It's strange times we are living in and this little bit of happiness has helped.

browneyesblue · 03/11/2020 20:55

Thank you @deemeff - that has mademe very happy!

TheLastStarfighter · 03/11/2020 20:57

(I ran away from the active threads and came here too)

I've been dithering about the velvetiser after missing the QVC deal. Does anyone remember how much it was?

Code VEL20NOV takes £20 off the velvetiser in Hotel Chocolat
