Welcome back fire.

Emry's ds2 had his last month, he came home and said "thanks for warning me I was going to get stabbed at school today" Grin
I remember giving consent I just forgot!!

The dog was naughty yesterday, she decided it would be fun to eat 6 party balloons, off to the vets we went, £112 she cost, little shit. So I used £100 holiday savings, but have put £50 back today.

Rain all day today, and back to hospital job tomorrow.

Mrsmadevans · 28/02/2020 08:11

Fluffy I didn't know about go jetters boy, such terrible news about her son .I am so sorry it's absolutely devastating for her and her family 😭
well done for nominating her for a woolly hug, she is absolutely the sort of person who should receive one 🤗

FireflyGirl · 28/02/2020 08:12

Thanks everyone.

The show went well, thanks MrsM. It's exhausting at the time, but I do really enjoy it.

Going to do the school run, then I have some catching up to do! Grin

Mrsmadevans · 28/02/2020 08:20

Wreck that was so patronising of the garage man . I am so angry on your behalf 😠 take the b's to court what have you got to lose 25 quid ? Have you had the money yet? In this day and age, when you can bank transfer and the money can be in your account in the next couple of hours I don't see why you have to wait until Saturday Grrrr! As for the children and your DH everyone has been so stressed with the car it is no surprise this cascades down to the littlies bless them 🤗
PJ that was very naughty of your beautiful dog to do that what an Earth possessed her. I'm wondering what the vets did to extricate them ? Am imagining them masked up with a big long forceps down the mouth or up the backside or did they just give you some terrible washout stuff to contend with the resulting explosion & clean up at home? 😁😁😁

Mrsmadevans · 28/02/2020 08:31

Dentist was fine for Mum thank you Wreck , she only has to have another routine appointment in 6 months time but when I was there they didn't want me to make the appointment and said make the appointment near the date. Now whether that's because he thinks she's going to be dead before I don't know but he can think again my Mum is not going anywhere if she can help it 🤣🤣🤣
I asked her what the relationship was with Bob was he her boyfriend and she said 'no he's my companion' and I thought to myself like a bit like a dog 🐕 🤣🤣🤣 l don't think Bob thinks he is her companion, he is very keen on her 🙄 . Poor Bob 🥺
Why great job , you were so subtle over them trolls 😋😀👍
Don't talk to me about roadworks , ours are dire ! We've had ongoing roadworks on the heads of the valley road for three / four years , they were supposed to be finished 18 months ago and they reckon now is going to be another 18 months it's disastrous . The road firm Costain have taken the Welsh Govt to court over it 🤯. I'm so glad they turned the Newport bypass down 😀👍

NoWordForFluffy · 28/02/2020 08:31

Oh god, PJ. Our dog once ate a box of eggs (box AND eggs) together with an elastic band that was round the box. She was partly collie; stupidity in the genes.

Mrsmadevans · 28/02/2020 08:34

EM I don't envy you the histrionic attention-seeking behaviour there will no doubt ensue from the Year 9s having their vaccinations. I can remember some Oscar winning performances in my day 🤣🤣🤣

Mrsmadevans · 28/02/2020 08:36

Fluffy what on Earth did it do that for 🤣🤣🤣🤣
See if it wasn't for the elastic band then the rest of it would have been ok to pass through 🤣🤣🤣

NoWordForFluffy · 28/02/2020 08:39

Hungry AND stupid, Mrs! 😂😂

Crazy hope you had a good night sleep you were so busy yesterday 🤗
I love your cross stitch it's very colourful, it's lovely well done live , snow on the Blorenge only but terrible Weather forecast this weekend 🙄
I must shift , Mum to take to Bob's ♥️💐
Spk LTR have a great day everyone 😀

TheWoollybacksWife · 28/02/2020 08:54

Well that's set my mind at rest MrsMad 🤣🤣

Emrys you have just reminded me about DS's HPV jab. He had one in October - am I remembering correctly that he'll have another one in April or thereabouts? He's Year 8.

Firefly welcome back. Glad your show went well and I hope life is on a more even keel for you now.

I often think about our other regulars that we haven't seen for a while. I'm sure Biddy is rushed off her feet but we haven't seen @constantlycooking for a while and the last I heard of @hairspraybabe was that she was getting married (I think). I hope they are both well.

Off to have a shower and then I need to pop into town for a couple of birthday cards and a visit to the cashpoint. I also need to do a uniform/games kit wash and a small basket of ironing.

PJMasksGhekko · 28/02/2020 09:58

Ha ha mrs, that put an image in my head!! They made her sick, there were 5 whole balloons and one in bits, the receptionist said she feeling very sorry for herself and wanted lots of love, she also said she had never known a Collie who wanted as much fuss as her, she is very loving. I'm definitely questioning her intelligence that's for sure Grin
Fluffy apparently raw eggs are good for them, but not the box and elastic bands, doesn't surprise me it was part Collie Grin
I was reading that thread about the little boy, but didn't see he had sadly passed away, although I knew he was close, poor family, it breaks my heart Sad

BiddyPop · 28/02/2020 10:37

peeps round the door
Morning all, um yes, slightly busy with storms changing plans, sailing and Cubs to be organised, DD getting called up to do a provincial trials for 1 sport and managing her moods (teenage hormones added to the ASD/ADHD, and being cooped up because of weather doesn't help either...), too much work travel, and then....

I got a phonecall from HR last week to come down for a "chat" (just before a family trip to London) - I'm being moved (in 3 weeks time) to a new Unit within the Department. So I have to close off everything here and hand it over to another guy, and take over a desk that has been vacant for 6 months. So all a bit hectic.

Hopefully I will get some quiet time on Sunday (either there's no sailing due to the weather, or else a different parent is doing shore duty (already volunteered) and I can go home once I get them started), and I can catch up on all the chat and news before going back down to hold the parents planning meeting for the season.

I AM taking 3 days off in the next 3 weeks also, and maybe even a few more but there are 3 booked.

CrazyBaubles · 28/02/2020 11:33

Fluffy the cross stitch is growing on me slowly. I’m hoping it’ll hang somewhere in the new house when we buy one!

Thank you Emrys. It’s the biggest one I’ve done (and my 4th altogether). I’m working up to the Bothy Threads highland cow one Xmas Smile
Good luck with your yr9s!

Why that sounds like you have a few Fluffy stories to tell

Snap for me too Wreck - I did things as a teenager that make me wonder WTF I was thinking now

Welcome back Firefly

Mrs what new phone do you have? I’ve stuck with my iPhone (7 I think) and just hoping it doesn’t die because it’s SIM only deal and I don’t want to go back to paying £££.

The weather is awful isn’t it? We can’t take anymore rain!

PJ is your dog ok now?

Welcome back Biddy. Is the new job a step up / sideways? Are you excited?

I’m in work and trying my best to get everything done so I can leave at 4...

WreckTangled · 28/02/2020 13:38

I've driven past three accidents today and there was another one last night -double fatality- that closed the road for over twelve hours. So sad. People forget they need to slow down in this weather.

Crazy I had a 7 and then it died so I upgraded. With my nhs discount and a Black Friday deal I got my new one for £32 a month which is obviously more than I want to spend but isn't too bad compared to others.

PJMasksGhekko · 28/02/2020 13:55

Crazy, she's back to her normal self Grin

It's awful here today, thankfully I don't have to go anywhere else after the school run apart from the last dog walk and hopefully DH will do that.

Oh no Wreck, so sad.

WreckTangled · 28/02/2020 15:15

What a week so pleased to be home. Managed to get the food shopping too and I carried three massive bags in all in one go 💪🏼

Once I've got the dc from the bus I can relax as I have no reason to leave the house until Monday Grin need a quiet weekend after the last few weeks

EmrysAtticus · 28/02/2020 15:30

Wowzer what a day! Back home and in my PJs now. I was left with 80-90 students at a time all day today with SLT not showing their face much at all. I am only a Grade 3 😭

Going to have a nice relaxing weekend. Making se Welsh cakes tomorrow for a St David's Day bake sale for Women's Aid.

Not sure I'm afraid Woolly as we are only starting boys HPV this year. In our school the girls have had one in Yr8 and one in Yr9.

PJMasksGhekko · 28/02/2020 19:41

I'm also in my Pj's and I have a nice glass of wine.

CrazyBaubles · 28/02/2020 20:39

Wreck That’s so sad. I used to work in car insurance claims and hated the injuries / fatalities.

Emrys you should be proud of surviving being around that many teenage hormones!

I’m also having a nice quiet weekend, tucked in away the house, hiding from the weather.
Tonight DH is out for a colleagues birthday so I cooked myself steak with jacket and veg and am watching Chicago Fire with a rum and my cross stitch.
Must say I look extra glam in pjs, knitted cardi, oil on my face and hair in a bun 😂

WreckTangled · 28/02/2020 20:43

DH and I are trying to binge the whole of Brooklyn nine nine before the new series at the end of next month. He's still putting ds to bed though so it's not going well so far...

WreckTangled · 28/02/2020 21:08

Coronavirus in our closest town. The first case not caught abroad.

CrazyBaubles · 28/02/2020 21:14

Oh Wreck I love Brooklyn Nine Nine! Have you watched it before?

I meant to ask, is anyone watching Build A New Life In The Country? I’m really enjoying it (have watched Build A New Life In The Wild for a few years).

NoWordForFluffy · 28/02/2020 21:21

The Ben Fogle one? We laugh at him as he's so bloody judgy about people's choices! 😂😂

Wreck, that's a little concerning. We've started corona-planning at work. I took my laptop in to get it set up for remote working today.
