Morning I am really tired and nearly had a hissy fit when it started snowing whilst I was at work last night.

We are being predicted snow tomorrow morning, at the moment!! Could all change of course.

Mrs your sister will have to live with that if it does happen, you however know you will have done your best.

Rats urghhhh, we had them a few years ago, from next door due to them being lazy buggers, when they moved out (it was a bedsit) the garage was full to the roof of everyday waste, that they couldn't be bothered to put in the black bins

Fluffy I did get a Spicery kit. I think it may have been your discount code that I used. I really enjoyed it and have bought a couple more since but we seem to have a collection of spices and recipes now so I haven’t bought one in a while. Did get one as a housewarming gift for SIL though which went down well.

Why we had a tiny sprinkling of snow that then froze which made the path deadly this morning 🙄

I’m in work and it’s all going wrong. System issues and sickness means I haven’t ticked anything off my to do list for the day.
Am consoling myself by eating lunch and my desk and distracting myself with MN for 10 minutes.

Crazy I hate ice even more than snow. Ours did not hang around last night thankfully.

Car update:

The DVLA haven't received the documentation from the garage (because they never sent it) so I phoned them and they were really rude to me and said it was the new keeper slip they wanted back (obviously so there wasn't an additional keeper on the V5) but having spoken to the DVLA they have told me I can't do this because what the garage are trying to do is fraudulent and also they can't cancel my direct debit for the tax without knowing I was, and am no longer, the registered keeper. DH and I are arguing because he's stressed at having £5k on a credit card and just wants the money back 😭😭😭 the DVLA have advised me to request a new log book with my new keeper slip and they will then update everything and cancel my direct debit etc.

What a palaver, Wreck. Sounds about right re the garage though. Arseholes.

There was a massive lump of snow just on the pedestrian area this morning. It hadn't snowed though, so I've no idea where it came from. It's been sunny from lunchtime here. Cold though.

I've had a tired headache all day. I've had two early waking days. I need more sleep!

Morning!

It's much quieter without all the trolls hanging about. Though we need to get this thread completed, so have to chat more!

I've no idea what the weather is like. I know it's cold in here, and it sounds dry! I can hear a bird tweeting too.

I've thankfully caught up with work for now but it'll go mad again soon, so I have to make the most of it.

It's just raining here. I need to go to the post office to send off the letter to the dvla. I'll have to send it special delivery which is almost £8 but I'll just add it to the money I'm going to try and claim back...

I have to work tomorrow too because of the Tuesday I had off at the beginning of the month.

My cold is still here and my nose is sore!

Rain again here unfortunately :( weather warning for rain over the weekend again so that's another weekend of not getting down to the allotment! I do have 5 leeks now though :)

Had a shocking night's sleep. DS and DCats worked together and tag teamed waking us up all night.

Parents evening tonight so looking forward to that. Oh and pay day at 4pm!!!!

Emrys, I'm going to the allotment on Sunday whatever the bloody weather. I need to get it sorted. Especially as I now have some potatoes to chit and put in the ground soon!

I need to get some seeds in pots. My planner has me starting next month though, so I'm not behind, other than on peas. It'll be alright though!

Off to Mum's in a bit, to dentist for her and then up to Bob's, got to hang his nets up in the front room. I tried to stop him from having them up because I hate them and his room is so dark as it is but he won't listen, he wants them up so I will do them anyway.

I've been out to take DS to the station. It is raining why but I'd describe it as slightly chunky rain.

I was not a happy bunny yesterday morning. DH was away and he normally checks that the trains are running ok before we leave the house. I didn't do it 🤦🏻‍♀️. Obviously Sod's law swung into action and we got to the station to discover the trains were running over half an hour slow. I had to drive DS to school and deal with roadworks, temporary traffic lights, people who freestyle the Highway Code and a sat nav that seemed to think my quickest route was via Outer Mongolia.

I'm off to Leeds on Saturday for the MN Woolly Hugs meet-up. So excited. Less excited about having to get the 7:25 train. I'm currently trying to finish everything - I need to sew up a hat I made yesterday and I'd really like to do another project to take with me to save postage next week. I'm sure you can imagine the conversation I had with my teenage DS about Mum meeting strangers she chats with on the internet 🤣

Woolly I did not have my glasses on when I peered outside so obviously was oblivious to the chunky rain. (I like that term)

There are far too many roadworks round here. I can't get anywhere and now I work near some of the major ones going on it is a nightmare getting to places.

Let's see if I actually get it...

Now to persuade DH that I can still take them to court for expenses. I bet he says no BUT I can see his point because if we get the money back in the next few days we shouldn't have to pay massive interest on the credit card. Hmm I'm not sure now

Have you given them your bank details? I have no idea how they'd refund you otherwise.

Fluffy they admitted on the phone they have my card details on the receipt from when I paid...

Off the top of my head:
£40 garage
£20 fuel still in the tank (maybe £40?)
£17.50 car tax
£22 to change insurance over
£40 roadside cover I couldn't cancel

Also DH couldn't work for two additional Saturdays but as it's over time I have no way of being able to prove that 🤨
