My mum got my 2.5yr old DD a letter to Santa kit. 99p - really cute and fun. Includes a wish list. Obviously I had to help my DD but she did tell me some things, the strangest of things being "hills" and "apples and bananas"

Ds (5) has asked for his best friend and a pet owl

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 28/11/2019 17:41

A few years ago my 3 year old only wanted a roll of bin bags. The next year he wanted a g-tec air ram Hoover. He was obsessed with the advert, 🤣 this year, same child has asked for a hovercraft. Not a toy, but an actual hovercraft 😣

slipperywhensparticus · 28/11/2019 17:42

A coconut

Sgtmajormummy · 28/11/2019 17:51

DS asked for a toy piranha when he was four.
All I could find was a brilliant orange fish about the right shape and size, so it got Tipp-Ex teeth. Grin
He was delighted and only cottoned on about two years later....

This thread is adorable and batshit in equal measure. Smile

LaPufalina · 28/11/2019 19:52

Nursery have asked DD (almost 3) what she'd like and put it in a letter on the wall with her classmates' requests. Mine has asked for a Christmas tree, a boat (aim high eh kid?), a purple present and a bed (she has a bed Hmm)

Futureplanning · 28/11/2019 21:47

Aww reminds me of when ds had a shiny red apple at the top of his list. I was terrified I'd forget it. He declared it the best tasting apple ever.

About 16-17 years ago my now 20 year old DD wanted a pink wheelbarrow. Don’t know if you can get them now but you certainly couldn’t then. So her Dad had to spray paint one pink. DD was so excited 😆

CointreauVersial · 30/11/2019 11:43

Not me, but my DSis, when she was about four, asked Father Chirstmas for "some tits".

She meant "tights". Grin We still have the letter.

MusicToMyEars800 · 30/11/2019 11:43

My dd Has asked for a wotsit machine that throws wotsits into her mouth when she opens it, she then finished this off with “yum yum” written u see it 😂

stucknoue · 30/11/2019 11:51

Pineapple (dd was 7) springs to mind, she's asking for mini marshmallows this year, she's an adult!

JoGoes · 30/11/2019 11:53

A turnip, we’ve never even eaten one. I don’t know where he got the idea

LittleMousewithcloggson · 30/11/2019 23:05

Bluetac
An owl
One welly
A tree
A real Elf
An apple corer
A teapot

Are some of the things that have appeared on DDs list over the years

NemosPoorlyFinn · 30/11/2019 23:11

I have a 3 year old DS
that's asked for a washing machine and a dyson hoover
Not toy ones either
Very practical but very expensive Confused

Loyaultemelie · 30/11/2019 23:18

@Heaviestdirtyestsoul if you live in NI that wish could come true, I know someone who has a third hand one for sale

Loyaultemelie · 30/11/2019 23:19

Dd1 wanted a life size gorilla. Not surprisingly was unimpressed with a teddy size one. Next year Santa found a 6 foot one. It's still haunting me when I come round corners

Abibranning · 30/11/2019 23:33

Typewriter DS only told us on 20th but Santa sorted it.

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 01/12/2019 17:44

MotorwayDiva · 01/12/2019 17:56

An orange cake (she got it!)

70sWitch · 01/12/2019 21:16

Mowgli. She loved The Jungle Book and I think she thought he'd be an excellent friend. Grin

KatyN · 02/12/2019 00:45

@Absoluteunit this at well be old news to you, but you can make barcodes it’s a special font in word and print your own.

It was my job to print the shelf edge labels in a supermarket for ages when I was younger,. I was also amazing at resetting the guns with a swift smack. I thought about getting a barcode tattoo for quit a while. They really are amazingly clever!!

DD when younger asked for 'a diamond as big as her head' Confused Unsurprisingly, that wasn't with budget, so Santa got her an oversized glass paperweight in a jewel kind of shape. She was over the moon, and three years later aged 9 has yet to click that it's not a real diamond Grin

MrBandFritz · 02/12/2019 16:38

This will out me if any family and friends are on here, but a non-popping football and a cuddly squid are the things that stand out Grin

itsme7 · 02/12/2019 17:40

A gnome. It's still hanging around my parent's house somewhere.

SE13Mummy · 02/12/2019 17:47

DD2 requested a Victorian artefact when she was about 5 or 6. Her wishlist the previous year comprised batteries and a milk bottle.
