I have a candleabra too , might get that on the table as there's four of us this year (not enough room if we have DParents+DBro+DSiL ) my DC are teens so (hopefully) sensible with flames.

Ahhh 70 the artfully arranged black cat is the stray that has now become our cat like they do, he had a poorly ear but we have been cleaning it every day and it is so much better , he is so sweet bless him , the candleabra is on the table all year round, believe it or not. I like it because it is shiny and pretty and it seems to go there lol l was a Magpie in a previous life lol and I would love it to snow for Christmas too wouldn't it be luvverly ? Luverly! lol

The wrapping is finished!! Apart from ds' go kart will do that tomorrow evening as it'll have to go into dh's van tonight.

Mrs- I bumped into Wilf's teacher and I was telling her that Gabriel drew on my carpet that morning. She was horrified as my house was immaculate. I mean I have a cream carpet and I tidied and hid stuff when she came, but it really shocked me to think someone thinks my house is even tidy!

Just ordered the loverly cushions, I'll get them on Friday but I'll be so grateful to myself next year!

Last year I got two small cushions from Asda, , snow covered rooftops and The Sleigh in front of a full moon., mainly blue/white
They are gorgeous but not cushions to rest a weary head on (being about 12" square) more for decor.

Hello from New York!! I can't get my head around the time difference and I'm feeling very spaced out as we landed today and haven't slept yet (night flight) as trying to avoid jet lag by working straight on local time (which is 5:30pm) 😴

But, in an effort to stay awake, we have been walking so I've added a pic of the Christmas tree in Bryant Park. Am saving the main one for tomorrow when I'm awake enough to enjoy it but this one is beautiful.

I have read the thread but am too bamboozled to remember who posted what - but whoever made the gingerbread house, it looks amazing, and Mad I can't believe you travelled all the way to Abersychan for something!!

Christmas Eve

The International Space Station aka Santas Sleigh passes the UK at 07.20 or there abouts (way too early) , few years ago it passed about 6pm so it was dark and eerie quiet .

Love the Christmas Eve Box side ( we do Dec 1st now mine are teens but I have new PJs for them tonight )

I offered to buy my 18yo some beer or cider but he doesn't want to drink a home (he had a pint in the pub with friends , just not DParents) . I don;t drink alcohol at all so I'm not fussed either way as long as he's sensible out and about.
Offered DD something vaguely alcohol based and she was "bring it onnn "

So, let the prep begin for the start of the Biggest Three Days of the Year ( I'm counting 24/25/26 .... much better than NYE/NYD for me )
