Can't wait for nativities - DS is still too young, so I'll have to live vicariously through all yours!

We're currently sat watching Mickey's Christmas Carol. Figure I need to introduce DS to Mickey Mouse before we go away next week - eeek!

We also did some Christmas baking during the week while listening to Christmas radio. I'm substituting non-dairy spread for butter, so it's taking a bit of juggling to get the recipes right.

Jamie's orange and chocolate shortbread was okay, next time I'd probably put more orange zest in though.

I did almond shortbread thumbprint cookies as well, which were really lovely, but I managed to spill scalding jam on my hand. So, will not be baking or cooking for a few days

DD1 home from Uni at last after 11 weeks away. It is so lovely to have her home , I have just put the last of 5 loads of washing in lol. I hope everyone is feeling much better it is miserable being unwell at any time but coming up to Christmas when there is so much to do it is a real misery. I have great success in my present shopping I bought stuff from Loveyourlocation.com and it is amazing I am so pleased with it all. It is mostly for the men in my life as they are so hard to buy for.
I have done most of the shopping and I now need to wrap the mountain of gifts in my dining room ......I am not looking forward to it . Hey ho

I’m so excited for DSs nativity firefly he’s in reception and they have loads of Christmassy things planned he loves Christmas as much as me so we can gang up on OH to get the Christmas tree up

I am officially DONE (though I still need to collect DH's present from the framer, but I'm saving that until I've been paid). Just got to finish wrapping the last few bits.

Ahhh the Nativity , I used to volunteer every Thursday in my DDS school and used to help out with the Christmas concerts , I cried like a fool every time . They are so sweet , enjoy your DC concerts/nativity , something to cherish forever.

Ours do concerts, not nativities. We've got one on 8th so far. Might have another on 8th, or it'll be on 7th. Just waiting to find out from the school!

Busy week next week, both of mine are going to 6th Form and Uni open days. So late nights after work and on Saturday.

We've made shortbread and started tags and cards today. Ocado brought the rest of the Christmas goodies, my bag of treats for December is very full! I have bought some dairy free hazelnut truffles that Wilf and I will devour with a movie. We bought some before to try and they were delicious.

I got 11 bonus gift bags in my Works order! They gave me a box of 12 instead of the 1 I ordered; goodness knows why!

I've just completed our wrapping. What do I do with myself now?!

I might have a session tomorrow, I've finished work for the week so I have the time. I've got tags to use now :)

I bought my M&s advent calendar today ( for meeee! DS has cereals and DD has make up). We also have a nativity one. 18 days until December when I can break open my advent boxes in the loft !
