😂 thanks. I feel like you've all done your wonderful wrapping and it's the one thing I hate! Dh is doing some now. It's only the stockings but still... I think it's worse because it has to be done at night.

Work Christmas night out tomorrow (technically tonight I suppose). I'm driving and taxiing my colleagues 😇 so no hangover for me on Christmas Eve.

All the counting, the lists, (the saving of money and Nectar points)

I've done the wrapping (not my favourite task) I bought M&S gift bag and tissue paper for the main part but I loved the dark blue paper with the tiny Artic hare so some of DD presents are wrapped in that.

I will sort out my table wear (bought a new table cover , all washed and ready) the crockery and glasses will go in the dishwasher overnight for Sunday breakfast.

I will prep the veg while watching some rubbish on telly and write lists on my blackboard.

I'm just off to M&S. Bit early but DD woke super-early so I just vacated the bed to fit her in (DS was already in there too!) at about 5.30. She's a bit excited about Christmas, I think. And who can blame her; she's 4!!

We're watching nativity! Well the dc are I'm just lolling on the sofa under a blanket! Ds has me up a bit in the night so I'm tired! I need to get the sausage meat out of the freezer ready to make the stuffing tomorrow. It's just us for Christmas so lots of things we are having are ready prepared

Got through M&S before my booked slot and picked up a couple of bottles of half price Buck's Fizz while I was in there!

I walked into town but got the train back which I almost had to myself (not really surprising at 6.50am!).

Just got the turks out of freezer to defrost off for a long walk and a last forage to Blaenavon to find vegan jam tarts and donuts for the dd1 who is a fervent vegan pita lol. Will report back ltr and will put a pic of me tree and pressies under it and le/la table with all it's festive finery on it! l can get in the dining room now after giving the pressies out lol have a great day all ,take care

It's Christmas Eve eve! And I finally broke up from school yesterday! It's been a hectic (and difficult couple of weeks) but I have made it! Now I just have wrapping and the fresh food shop to do. Merry Christmas to busy countdowners.

I can finally get things ( really unimportant random things like MY CLOTHES ) in my wardrobe now because I've taken the presents out (now wrapped)

Last year, I had a 3 door wardrobe then DD 'persuaded' me to swap (she whittered on about me buying her a new wardrobe till I said "OK , D'you want mine and I'll trade your 2 door one" , which was what she wanted anyway)

Last bits of washing, tidying , plan a hot bath and some general maintenance for myself , then taking DH out on Christmas Eve for a wander.

All coming together now

This is all so exciting reading all the last preparations going on. Our guests are due to arrive at 3 so all is ready! Strange quiet before the storm

I have pork belly cooking very, very slowly in the oven, washing is being done and we are doing lots of nothing. Basically waiting to see if Gabriel is going to be sick again.
