I feel all out of sorts and as though I'm breaking the Christmas rules. We've seen different sets of friends / family every day since Saturday so we've received and opened our presents and delivered the presents I've spent ages planning. We've had a turkey dinner (Sunday) and we're essentially done until we go away. So strange, especially as we're both still in work.

It's my last day on Thursday. I'm also desperately trying to leave my work queue empty so no one has to pick anything of mine up while I'm gone but it's an uphill battle after my illness a few weeks ago and my snow day recently too.

Sprouts, is that the M&D penguin? I wrapped ours in the box it came in rather than attempt anything else!

The children love him. He's currently wearing DD's second Christmas jumper!

5 days to go. Last day of school in the morning.

Five days? OMG I feel very behind. DH is taking the boys out all day tomorrow and I am wrapping, making fudge, cleaning and going to buy stockings.

I've got a bit of ironing, a bit of cleaning and a bit of wrapping to do. I've also got to fill our crackers and crochet a present for DD1 to give to a friend. If the marzipan on my cakes has dried out enough then I'll ice them too and then I think I'm ready to relax. My biggest challenge once school has broken up will be dragging DS away from the PS4

@FridgeCut, it's Melissa and Doug. It was about £14 on Amazon the other day. I paid about the same last year after a recommendation on the bargain thread!

I'm doing a big clean on Friday (I'm vanishing DH and the kids while I do it!).

Aside from food deliveries / pick ups and wrapping 2 presents (which I need to collect from our local Tesco Express) and the cleaning, I'm done!

Can finally go and get DPs pressies...

So far have got him
box of mini cadbury fudge, fancy french caramel choccies, a selection box, white chocolate hot chocolate, a mug and a rugby shirt.....

Will still get him, new pokemon game , socks, cufflinks, a tie, a fancy pair of shoes and a shoe shining kit.

Bits for his stocking, a pen in the shape of a dinosaur and a frame for a nice photo of us for his desk at work.

Not sure what else tbh...

Massive Morrison's order arrived this morning and I have had to empty the freezer of all non Christmas stuff. Will be some interesting meals we will be eating today and tomorrow!

Feels so Christmassy to have fridge, freezer and cupboards stuffed with tasty food though, just have to not eat it before Christmas!

Crazy so many of my family and friends have the dreaded lurgy too, it is doing the rounds in SE Wales by the looks of it !I hope it does one very quickly for you my dear .
l would have packed the penguin like a huge christmas cracker and laid it on its side meh what do l know about wrapping?
Ceebs it's great getting the food but trying to keep the fam let alone me from scoffing the lot is a bit tricky lol

I am off out to the family lunch today and just got the phone call from my dear very elderly father already he doesn't want to go 'Sue I had a tin of Aldi curry last night and I have had an upset stomach this morning' he always tries to get out of it. I was not having any of it lol 'have a quiet morning dad and an Immodium that will sort you out' , cue dad 'oh l am fine now I don't need an Immodium' ...... and what the hell is it with the men l know all loving the bloody tins of curry from Aldis , it smells and looks like a breastfed newborn's pooh! YUK!
Anyway that is my morning so far ....also a demand from mum for the womans weekly special haven't got it down town and 2 more wreaths for the graves of people mum usually doesn't put anything on but decided to this year just to add to the work load ....hey ho such is life lol

Made my fudge but an edge of the pan caught and it has some tiny flecks of caramel in it. I am going to style it out if anyone asks.
