It's made with clotted cream and posh french butter, vanilla bean and Himalayan pink salt. And caramel flecks :) I am going to shape it shortly, I'll post a pic for extra drooling!

I have a long list to get through as well - but have made more progress on some things than I had feared.

DD is showing signs of an ear infection (yet again!) so I managed to get a GP appointment for tomorrow but in the morning when DH is busy so I 'll have to take her, and the cleaners are coming so I can't do stuff at home beforehand (apt at 11 - DD will go to school before and back after). I think I will try to get things done locally, and perhaps sit and have a coffee somewhere too as I will have to take the whole morning off work.

And I put out 2 more massive bags of paper to the recycling this morning from overnight decluttering of files in the guest room. I need to let DSis know she can stay on 26th, but that also means I need to have that job DONE by then....or we can't get out the 2nd bed for DBIL....oops.

Got all the wrapping done and made my fudge and sourced stockings and counted the kids presents and ordered an extra one to rebalance things. Now I am lying on the sofa watching "It's a wonderful life" :) in agony as my back has gone.

Turns out we swapped gifts and she - thankfully - liked the lambs wool scarf I got her!

Made the eldest sprouts clean their room today ready for Christmas. It took them a while. They were seriously not happy.

But it’s all clean now!! Not long to go!

The house is tidy although DD2 was home for an hour this afternoon so I can't vouch for her room I had to hoover the sofa this morning as my new going out-out top shed a tonne of glitter after my night out last night. My hoover is filled with glittery fluff now.

I've still got to ice the cakes but I'll do that tomorrow.

I crocheted DD1's gift for her friend today so apart from the cakes I'm up to date.

The dc love it because of the rides but it's extortionate. It cost us £17 to go on a rollercoaster! And then ds cried all the way 😂 I've heard there's a better one near Clapham.

We went to kings cross (platform 9&3/4), southbank, Covent Garden and winter wonderland. The dc are knackered so we're on the train home and we got a seat!

I have now finished work (till Wednesday) so a few days to loaf about and cook.

Planning to get the fresh foods,veg, soya milk tomorrow, then put the marzipan on the cake then ice it on Saturday.

My DH put the decorations away last year (I was away at my DParents) so half of what I need now (stockings, hand towels) are goodness knows where . He found one of the stockings , I'm going to send him back up into the loft tomorrow .
