Not going to use a code if I have one. Will look and happy to pass on. When were the email sent? . I have some with the £30 off but this is the standard price now, right?

Lala, make salt dough Xmas decorations with the dc for him. Cheap and dc will enjoy it.

Has everyone who has cancelled a direct debit still receiving the mags? I got another Womens Shitness the other day, was it £1 for 3 issues?

shelley72 · 06/10/2013 12:16

I have a question, or rather a request for help. We are thinking of getting our 3year old a bike but I can only find very girly ones online -sparkly pink with lots of tassels! Where is a good cheap place to buy? Want something with stabilizers and maybe in red or purple with no characters (have a 14 week old so eventually will be handed down). money is tight now there are three so the cheaper the betterSmile

Pachacuti · 06/10/2013 12:23

You could just look on eBay for a second-hand one in good nick that's close to you for pickup. At three he's not likely to notice or care if the bike is brand new.

If you really want new, then Halfords have this one (only in blue though) for £39.99

Pachacuti · 06/10/2013 12:26

Or Argos have this in red for £35.99 (although read the review which suggests you may need help figuring out the instructions).

shelley72 · 06/10/2013 12:28

Great thank you. Never think of eBay. Her brother hasn't quite grown out of his yet so our hand me down plan has not quite worked out

AliceinSlumberland · 06/10/2013 12:39

Just had a bit of a palaver with Isme so thought I would report back. Ordered online (had to set up a credit account but was accepted straight away so perhaps depends what time of day you do it). Put the order through with the voucher code and it said they would send me a confirmation email - they didn't. Rang up and they said the order hadn't gone through and to order again, but when I did this it said I had already used the voucher so couldn't do it again!

Rang up and ordered over the phone, and got the p&p charge taken off for my trouble without me asking for it. Voucher worked fine over the phone although he did ask me how I'd got it... made up a white lie about receiving an email.

Also make use of their 3 for 2 offers! I got 5 pressies for 30 quid, one of which was the Star Wars Lego Advent calendar which is normally 25 quid on its own, so I'm very pleased.

IsaacCox · 06/10/2013 12:40

Glee Divas Free Your Glee Ladies Gift Set £3.99 free delivery

Little Tikes Climb and Slide Playhouse was £119.99 now £59.99 use code 9908087769999 to make it £49.99 delivered

I'm still after a Kindle code if anyone has one please Thanks :)

cartoad · 06/10/2013 12:40

Robot stuff - asda have some cute robot stuff, too bug for a stocking but cute duvet set, and other bedroom bits if you want to have some bigger presents. Ds has the duvet and money bank - there's also a mirror, pictures, lampshade... Am hoping that there will be a fleece blanket or cushion soon.

Kiddi cameras - we got ds a proper camera when he was 4 and at 8 he still has it. You can get decent canon/samsung/nikon etc little point and shoot cameras in the run up to Christmas for about £50, some of them worth at least twice that if you keep an eye out on the bargains on lists like this - amazon black Friday week etc. Get great photos, loads more capacity, learn how look after a real camera etc etc

Cooking stuff - tk maxx has some great cooking stuff that's real and suitable for kids - the miniamo? Range that's twice the price in John Lewis and seems to be proper cooking stuff but with smaller handles for smaller hands. Last year they had Jamie Oliver kids sets too. Plus they have loads of adult stuff that would be suitable so things like silicon cake moulds and small prep knives etc.

HoneyDragon · 06/10/2013 12:41

The code is from a voucher give away from Mcolls newsagents if anyone gets asked

pickofthepops · 06/10/2013 12:44

Isaac see my pm which may be helpful

NoBloodyMore · 06/10/2013 12:46

That pampered chef knife looks fab, so I'm going to get apron & hat, the Sam stern book & the river cottage book & possibly a baking book, the pampered chef knife, a small frying pan, a utensil set & I may look on Lakeland for some more accessories or even put some ingredients in and he could make Boxing Day lunch?

Thanks everyone, I have also found a chefs outfit on eBay for £11 so I think I'll get him that as it's a bit fun & he'll like it.

Now I just need a way to package it all and ideas for Boxing Day lunch!

VeeAndTea · 06/10/2013 12:49

Wilkinsons has a pretty good homeware sale on at the mo, this desk lamp is only £3.99

IsaacCox · 06/10/2013 12:57

Thanks pick, if no one else has a code, I'll try that Thanks

500internalerror · 06/10/2013 13:05

Can't link on the phone, but amazon have some great Xmas hometown books for kids. Search 'Santa is coming to' under books.... They have tons, £3.74-£4.75 depending which town you want. There's large areas eg North Wales, Essex,Hertfordshire. , or towns eg Oxford, Swindon, York etc. quite a few London areas too, as well was just London in general.

I've ordered one and will report back Smile

cartoad · 06/10/2013 13:17

How old is the pampered chef kid's knife for -sorry on phone and can't see relevant post. They're good for little kids but they do mangle stuff they cut so if you have a sensible 6-7 yr old then you'd probably be better getting a proper sharp knife -just one of the small paring ones (I have a nice ceramic one from tk maxx that is a jolly colour that has a cover on the blade that I take on picnics and long journeys), a box of plasters and some lessons in how to cut up veg etc properly. I'd also get a matching potato peeler and start off with carrots, apples and parsnips and then you also have another handy helper in the kitchen Grin

IsaacCox · 06/10/2013 13:18

Woohoo I have now ordered a Kindle for the bargainous price of £49! Thanks I love this thread :)

Now, do I have to buy a seperate charger? Does it not come with one?

Reastie · 06/10/2013 13:26

Isaac Envy I got mine less than a month ago for £99 even though I did use nectar points . It comes with a lead to charge in computer but it takes yonks to charge in the USB on the computer so I bought a plug from amazon.

OP posts:
VeeAndTea · 06/10/2013 13:30

I charge mine using my blackberry charger. most phones are compatible with that outlet.

IsaacCox · 06/10/2013 13:36

Was that the Fire Reastie? I've not got that one today, just the normal Kindle. Hoping the Fire will come down a bit more soon or be in the black friday week? Anyway, I'll have to wait until next payday at least! Grin

Thanks for the info too, just got the charger :)
