This is an offer from a leaflet in McColls Newsagents if they ask where it game from.

TheOneWithTheHair · 02/10/2013 17:24

I just wanted to say thanks for this thread again.

I've just ordered some stuff from amazon including a dinosaur bouncy ball for 1p for ds2's stocking. I got the last one I'm afraid.

Also I got some stuff from the works. Those jigsaws linked to earlier and a box set of horrible histories CDs reduced to £10. I used the 20% off and free delivery codes which worked a treat. :)

Shopping well under way now. Grin

notso · 02/10/2013 17:30

What are the The Works codes please?

TheOneWithTheHair · 02/10/2013 17:34

The 20% one is GWORK20 and the delivery one is SBFREE.

KateSMumsnet · 02/10/2013 17:38

Hang on all, is your great Aunt partial to a spot of tea? Have you got a teapot on the Christmas wishlist? Pop over to our FB page to find out about a special offer we have with Whittards atm - Lemon Biscuit anyone? bit.ly/18niFIw

p.s Don't worry about people on Facebook finding out your Mumsnet name, there's no way that they could, unless of course you post on fb what you name is....

notso · 02/10/2013 17:39

Thanks TheOneWithTheHair

TwerkingNinetoFive · 02/10/2013 17:52

Received my Charlie and the chocolate factory book today. It isso lovely! If anyone's humming and haahing you really should get it. Absolutely beautiful.

The birthday boy I gave it to was most impressed with it too Grin

Crutchlow35 · 02/10/2013 19:20

Can you link it confused please?

TwerkingNinetoFive · 02/10/2013 19:23

Charlie and the chocolate factory.
I have it too its great.

MissBeehiving · 02/10/2013 19:24

thanks Reastie Smile

mootime · 02/10/2013 19:36

Ok people, pirate ship just arrived. How the hell am I meant to hide that, or pass it off as a small present! It's fucking HUGE!

SodsLawRules · 02/10/2013 19:43

Moo add a cloth and say its a new side table Wink

Crutchlow35 · 02/10/2013 19:43

Moo, is that the playmobil one?

Oreocrumbs · 02/10/2013 19:46

Flowers Reastie.

I've been out shopping today.

TK Maxx had lots of Barbie dolls around the £6 mark.

Also had this Sylvanian families bus for £24.99.

B&M bargains had this Quinny pushchair for £35 and this one for £30. They also had 3 designs in the silver cross ranger pushchair for £30.

They had baby chou dolls reduced to £12.99 and lalaloopsy dolls for £9.99.

I also got a new pair of bearpaw sheepskin boots for £35. Have decided not to pay for expensive sheepskin boots anymore 'cos I end up killing them within a month or 2, no matter how much I pay for them. (never mind they make good dog chews).

VoldemortsNipple · 02/10/2013 19:47

Thanks for the 1/4 way through new thread reastie Smile

mootime · 02/10/2013 20:25

Yep, the playmobil pirate ship. No way that dh will believe that it "only" cost £33. Or that ill be able to hide it until ds birthday in may. Perhaps the new baby will bring him it as a present in November!

Crutchlow35 · 02/10/2013 20:31

Bugger, that is a great deal. Missed it and that's what I am looking for DS.

Coveredinweetabix · 02/10/2013 20:36

I had a hideous experience this evening. I've been trying to get to a Primark to get some Xmas jumpers for the DC and madly decided to go to the massive one on Oxford St. Which was heaving and the majority of people in there were either really aggressive or had very young children with them, many of whom were in tears. I eventually battled upstairs to the children's bit and found the jumpers. They had several cute jumpers for 0-2 girls (which are no use to me) including a couple with flared bottoms which would look sweet with leggings. The 0-2 boys one was cute with a reindeer on but really, really thick and completely acrylic and I just thought DS would melt in it. At £8 it seemed quite expensive, well for Primark. In the 2-7 girls section, they had long, narrow jumpers which, due to their shape, may make a better tunic than jumper. There was a very pale pink one with a gingerbread man on which was quite nice but DD would look dreadful in that colour and then they had a navy one with a penguin on which was OK but didn't seem sufficiently Xmassy. So I just ran out as far as I could!
I ended up popping into the Next opposite where the have a gorgeous cardi for little girls (girl - I'm sure Emily would look adorable in it) but it was quite expensive for £20 and then in the 1-5 boys dept I spied what may be the jumper for both DC as there was a red jumper with lots of snowmen all over the front so could be worn by both DD and DS although there is a risk that DP will disown us if the children appear in matching Xmas jumpers

Theonlyoneiknow · 02/10/2013 20:48

I also got the pirate ship but haven't seen the size of the box yet as it got delivered to my dads house !!

LaTrucha · 02/10/2013 20:53

You see, coveredin, that's why we loooooove our reastie. Don't go to real life shops, oh no no no. Far too stressful.

bymoonlight · 02/10/2013 20:55

Does anyone have an ELC birthday code they are not using? I'd really appreciate it for a couple of dd2's birthday presents.
