My big birthday ELC code worked alongside the 20% off and i managed to buy the rosebud treehouse for around £12, so its worth trying the codes on sale items. Also toys r us are giving away lego chima speedorz if you spend £15 on lego chima.Im tempted to buy the cath kidston bow necklace but im not sure who i will give it to, and keeping it will defeat the money saving objective of this thread.

Can't see the current Amazon prices mentioned on here. The Puff Magic Dragon book is down to £1.75 (including CD) as is Snail and the Whale. There is also a small version of Guess How Much I Love You for £1.99.

Shameless bump for the evening crowd - I'm after some vintage-look pressed glass or etched style water glasses for my Christmas table. I quite like the look of these -

www.traidcraftshop.co.uk/p-13159-buy-vintage-flower-tumblers-4-traidcraft-online-shop.aspx

But £44 for the eight I'll need may be a bit steep....anyone seen similar? Thanks

Just ordered puff the magic dragon book, thanks!

Thought it would tie in with his castle of doom, as there's dragon figures with it Smile

itsonlysubterfuge · 04/10/2013 22:05

I just received my Box of Awesome and it was, well awesome! It had quite a few small 'pocket money' type toys in, but best of all it was free.

You can sign up here for your chance to win a free box.

I felt slightly embarrassed when I received my box as it was obviously geared toward young children and I applied for the free box having no idea what it was. My daughter did enjoy opening and closing and crushing the box as well as the stickers. They also had a pair of shoelaces in them which I will be putting in my shoes if they fit. There was a mini Halo figure, which is sitting atop my husband's desk, guarding it from baddies Grin.

They do have an option to buy the boxes, so make sure you check you are applying for a chance to win the free box. If you did win a box, you could use the little toys for advent calendars and stocking stuffers.

ValiumQueen · 04/10/2013 22:12

Thank you Honey Smile I can sleep soundly tonight without worrying about it. I like the sound of forgetting about the account and getting similar offers every now and then. I am very impressed with the speed of delivery and the communication. Makes a change eh!

LivingIsEasyWithEyesClosed · 04/10/2013 22:14

Just ordered puff the magic dragon- I am loving these book bargains! Thanks everyone Thanks Wine

BumpKitty · 04/10/2013 22:14

since my earlier post (about an hour ago) I have had a dispatch email from letterbox! When I logged in to my account it showed which item had been refunded.
It was the wooden ramp racer for £12.50 :( so now I need something else for a 2 year old boy. Just thought i'd update in case anyone else is waiting for that item.

pantshavenames I've seen this small costa coffee for £1 in supermarkets. Most have chocolate spoons next to the hot chocolates or m&s do a pack of 3 or 4 chocolate stirrers, normally hung up on the edge os a shelf on one of those hanging display things. You could also add a coffee syrup, I've used monin before, you can buy a pack of 5 minis from costa or some of the supermarkets seem to be doing them now too.

CatAmongThePigeons · 04/10/2013 22:23

My local Tesco had Angry Birds Star Wars 2014 annuals for £3 they had a few others in there too. Can't find them online atm though.

DTisMYdoctor · 04/10/2013 22:24

How quickly has this thread filled up?!?!

Does anyone have any idea when/if any of the major toy retailers will have a sale/offers before Christmas. I'm thinking of getting DS an imaginext castle, but it's shot up in price on Amazon following the Argos 3 for 2, and is about the same price everywhere else.

The problem with camel camel is you can see the bargain prices you've missed Hmm

SurvivalOfTheUnfittest · 04/10/2013 22:25

I've found some possible options for menfolk. I've had a Presents For Men catalogue and if you use the code MADNESS10 you should get 30% off till the 31/10/13. It's not cheap in the first place (and there is a delivery charge) but I love the mugs!

RhondaJean · 04/10/2013 22:29

DT there should be another Argos 3 for 2 before Xmas. Also the sainsburys toy sale: last year they didn't do everything for half price but there was at least 25 percent off if I remember properly.

BumpKitty · 04/10/2013 22:29

ooh thanks blackberry I will add it to my wish list and see if it comes down at all

SurvivalOfTheUnfittest · 04/10/2013 22:33

And Presents For Men have a bargain area too! Why do I find myself tempted by an inflatable penguin sledge?!!

DTisMYdoctor · 04/10/2013 22:34

Thanks Rhonda. I've just found it on offer at toysrus but out of stock for miles. Grrrr. I'm hoping if it goes on 3 for 2 again, amazon prices will drop.

SurvivalOfTheUnfittest · 04/10/2013 22:35

I believe Argos 3 for 2 was on again the weekend of 18th November last year. I don't think any of you replied before, but can anyone recall whether Tesco do 3 for 2 on toys when the Sainsburys toy sale is on? I think they do??

Theimpossiblegirl · 04/10/2013 22:48

Honey
I can't seem to find the post with the Isme code. Is it still available please?

Vallum - have just seen your post re sylvanian willow hall. Email customer services at flair. They are brilliant. They sent me spare railings for the treehouse, the weather vane and the rushes as my girls had lost/broken them. Also sent me a ladder for the nursery.
