girlwiththeyellowhats do we have any news yet?

Fifth thread already, how did that happen?! I?ve booked our panto tickets now so am feeling very festive Grin . Tips I learnt from the last thread number 24837 - wrap a huge cardboard box in christmas gift wrap to put all the rubbish on christmas day in rather than a bin bag so you don?t get a black plastic sack in all of the photos

Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Shock Girl

Thanks for the o2 heads up Elainey, I always forget to check my moments!

hoppingmad · 09/09/2013 12:33

I just picked up an ultimate fx lightsaber from home bargains for £19.99. I've only done a quick search on amazon but it was cheaper than their ones.
I got Luke (green) but they had darth (red) & anakin (blue) too

hoppingmad · 09/09/2013 13:14

We also got a teapot squinkies set and a solar robot kit for £1.99 each Smile

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 09/09/2013 13:22

Book people have sent me the paperback charlie and glass elevator instead of the hardback...

I got it for £2.69 (RRP £12 odds), so definitely a bargain for the hardback.

I've sent them an email. No idea how returns work though. Hope not to be out of pocket posting it back to them.

jamtoast12 · 09/09/2013 13:28

Just a reminder....argos 3 for 2 ends tomorrow! Just got monster high dolls for birthdays and Christmas...feeling very festive! I even had the polar express cd on this morning (just to try it out of course Blush)

jamtoast12 · 09/09/2013 13:29

Wilkinsons had monster high stationary sets on 3 for 2. I got these and they're fab!

WaitMonkey · 09/09/2013 13:31

Ewe, TBP sent me the wrong book once. They told me to donate the book to a local charity and sent me a replacement. I imagine they will do the same with you.

Iwaswatchingthat · 09/09/2013 13:41

Sainsburys currently has 70% off all stationary.

Lots of glitter pens, highlighters, pretty notepads etc.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 09/09/2013 13:44

Really, WaitMonkey? What a wonderful company they are. That's genuinely so nice of them Smile (especially in comparison to the Spicery who want Crafty to send them back 3 jars that expire soon anyway).

hoppingmad · 09/09/2013 14:03

What's a good price for a kindle fire?

joymaker · 09/09/2013 14:04

craigslittleangel re the Puff the Magic Dragon book, can you say where from and how much, must have missed that post. thanks

MooseyMoo · 09/09/2013 14:05

Crafty I've PM'd you.

Off to Tescos in a bit (don't have one near me but on hols at mo). I'm stupidly excited about this. Bet I find nothing!

SugarplumKate · 09/09/2013 14:06

Help please! Can someone link me to the Spicery discount code. I know it's somewhere in this thread but I just can't find it!!!! Thanks so much in advance

itsonlysubterfuge · 09/09/2013 14:19

Sugarplum the code is FAVOURITES.

If anyone is having difficulty finding something on the thread and you are on a PC, you can press CTRL and while holding it in press the F key. This will bring up a little box at the top and you can type in the word you are looking for, for example Spicery, and it will highlight in yellow everytime someone used the word Spicery. You can use this on all webpages, not just Mumsnet.

itsonlysubterfuge · 09/09/2013 14:21

Also, forgot to mention that my Poundland are doing Little Princess books, obviously £1. They look like these, but at a much better price.

whoneedstosleep · 09/09/2013 14:39

hopping I got a kindle fire last November when Amazon were doing the Black Friday deals for £99.

Standautocorrected · 09/09/2013 14:41

Ive just been to Sainsburys and they have lego chima sets at £4.99. They can been joined together apparently.
The exact same ones at tesco are £9.99.

DTisMYdoctor · 09/09/2013 14:44

Thanks for that search tip itsonlysubterfuge - on a Mac Command and F does the same thing. Very handy. However, I was also searching for the Puff the Magic Dragon book and it's not on this thread, so maybe on the last one? Must go and search!

Mipe · 09/09/2013 14:44

I have just received my Roald Dahl pop up book and it is amazing, a lot bigger than I expected and a brilliant read with beautiful pop ups! Highly recommended and a bargain for £3.99 (+ £2 delivery) :)

hoppingmad · 09/09/2013 14:47

Thank you for that whoneed, I did wonder if they might do it again so I'll hold out. The Black Friday deals cost me a fortune last year!

Wibblytummy · 09/09/2013 15:03

Popped past Homebargains this afternoon. Managed to get a couple of Ben and Holly sticker/activity books for 69p each and a Ben and Holly story and CD book for 99p. Also some Pixar Cars snap/matching pairs cards for 99p too. All going in the stockpiles for the stockings bags! Smile

98percentchocolate · 09/09/2013 15:23

Went into Mothercare again earlier and mine has completely sold out of the retro racer happyland - they sold 7 yesterday alone! Sold out on the website (finally found it on there!) so worth checking in stores.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 09/09/2013 15:50

Just had an email from the book people saying my order has been dispatched for the hardback charlie and the glass elevator. no other correspondence or email from them as to what i should do with the incorrect paperback version. Should i go ahead and just donate it to charity or contact them again? Hopefully they'll send me the right copy this time.

SaigonSaigon · 09/09/2013 15:55

Thomas and Friends super soft face cloths are 19p in Home Bargains (excellent stocking filler)! Other ones such as Spiderman, Buzz + Woody and Muppets were 59p
