girlwiththeyellowhats do we have any news yet?

Fifth thread already, how did that happen?! I?ve booked our panto tickets now so am feeling very festive Grin . Tips I learnt from the last thread number 24837 - wrap a huge cardboard box in christmas gift wrap to put all the rubbish on christmas day in rather than a bin bag so you don?t get a black plastic sack in all of the photos

Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Shame, as with the discount could get the pyramid delivered for less than £35... Maybe I'll get it anyway and put it away for DS in a few years time.

WaitMonkey · 06/09/2013 12:29

If you like the look of the. pyramid, I would order it as I've read they are stopping making them soon.

LaTrucha · 06/09/2013 13:10

I got my Elemis today. Yay! box a tiny bit bashed but not too bad. The magazine was dire though. Grin

nuttybean · 06/09/2013 13:10

Not a bargain but honest thoughts please- i popped into a cash converter type shop to have a look at the ds games as I've got the dc a new ds for Xmas so am after just a couple of games, mario karts & mario bros. was thrilled to see karts for £14.99 but they also had karts without a box, just the game. So got that instead at a fab price of £4.99 but as its a present do u think they will be disappointed? They are 6 & 8. Seemed pointless paying an extra £10 for a case they will discard anyway. Thanks

LaTrucha · 06/09/2013 13:19

You could put inside an appropriately themed Christmas card, if something like that is available? If they question it, you could say it was a special offer and that or nothing. They'd probably prefer the disc to not having it at all.

hoppingmad · 06/09/2013 13:26

Can you not put it in the ds ready to play?

I regularly buy 2nd hand games as gifts - the dc's know they have to wipe the saved data before they play! They have never been bothered by whether its new or not - they just want to play it Smile

frazzled74 · 06/09/2013 13:26

ballinacup, do you mind me asking where you can get the playmobil pyramid for that price?

Oreocrumbs · 06/09/2013 13:33

I would just put it in the DS! You can buy cases to store games in like these, you can probably get character ones too. Another option would be to buy one of them and put that game in to start off the collection.

ballinacup · 06/09/2013 13:33

frazzled the Toys R Us website has it listed for £39.99, use code 9908087729993 for £5 off a £30 spend and it's £34.99 with free delivery!

CatAmongThePigeons · 06/09/2013 13:34

I would get a little box to store the DS games in, I hate the big clunky boxes the games come in

MooseyMoo · 06/09/2013 13:37

Lego Duplo base plate is £5.90 on Amazon.

Trying to find a cheap book to get free delivery. The Princess and the Wizard by Julia Donaldson is £1.75

frazzled74 · 06/09/2013 13:40

thankyou, that will be good to put away for neice.

Oreocrumbs · 06/09/2013 13:40

Ooh 2 bottles of Elemis just arrived! No magazines yet though (not that I intend to read them, but still!)

Boxes are bashed here too.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 06/09/2013 13:41

Still no Elemis Sad Hope they had enough to give out and I've not been forgotten about... Is it the postie who delivers it or a courier like Hermes?

LaydeeJayne · 06/09/2013 13:44

Thanks to RhonaJean for the Glamour mag tip - have ordered that to start being delivered from December to my best friend.

nuttybean · 06/09/2013 13:45

Thanks for the ideas. I know they won't mind, as you say they will be happy just to have the game Smile

yabbadabba · 06/09/2013 13:46

Ewe, yodel delivered my Elemis. They pushed a card through saying they had left it on the porch.

supermariossister · 06/09/2013 13:50

went into the works who had crazy clearance section lots of stuff for stockings stickers, glow axes and forks ( dp vetoed and said it would cause trouble, misery arse) metal bookmarks in a range of designs 25p, packs of 100 disney and spongebob stickers 59p, colouring mega packs 49p gardening dvds 25p.

ipanicked · 06/09/2013 13:54

iloveholidays thanks for the sylvanian families bee keeper link - I've been after that one for ages!

MooseyMoo · 06/09/2013 14:09

Someone was after Yankee Candles. I've found the medium tumblers (which have two wicks) in winter wonderland and sparkling snow at half price £7.74 from Yankee Doodle. If you spend over £25 you get a free sampler (auto added, can choose from 4 options, I chose Cinnamon)

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 06/09/2013 14:33

Thanks yabba.

My elemis has just this moment been delivered by Yodel. Box is very bashed indeed, but i wasn't going to use it anyway because i have the body balm from the HOF sale to pair it up with. I'm making my mum up a little wicker hamper with beauty stuff, a yankee candle etc so just going to pop it in there.

Fantastic bargain! Thanks again for it rhondajean.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 06/09/2013 14:37

Re the yankee candles.

I posted this in one of the many earlier threads, but i bought \link{http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yankee-Candle-Christmas-Gift-Sets-Variety-/271251757877?pt=UK_Candle_Holders&var=&hash=item3f27dd5b35\these} yankee candles from a store on Ebay which has an ongoing sale. Only a few left though.

I got the Christmas Cookie Cottage for £7.50 (which comes in a cottage gift box.

A large cinammon red ribbon bundle for £10 (which comes with a wicker basket. I'm splitting the candles and using the basket as a hamper for my mum).

And a snowman tea light set for around £6 which comes with a snowman gift box.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 06/09/2013 14:42

Sorry, i'm lying. I've just checked my purchase history. They weren't quite as cheap as that. The red ribbon was £10 off, so I paid £19.99. It's sold out on the above link but available for £19.99 on Amazon \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yankee-Candle-Christmas-Ribbon-Basket/dp/B009ZSNJ1A\here.}

And the snowman cost £9.99, but is also sold out. It's available on \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yankee-Candle-Christmas-Snowman-Light/dp/B009ZSNHT4\Amazon} but is £14.99.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 06/09/2013 14:46

Just a thought...

Do you reckon Elemis did some sort of deal with Women's fitness because the boxes were all bashed so they could no longer sell them in shops...

It seems all too good to be true that they'd send us a £40 bottle for just 99p. Not that I'm complaining. Grin
