Hoping for my VBAC but 40+12 so come in for induction. Because of previous CS, no prostin. They've just broken my waters - MW couldn't do it as cervix posterior so consultant came, gave me gas & air to use, tugged cervix forward and broke them!

Now just waiting to see if contractions start!

Anything's worth a try! DH now sat watching tv and I'm pacing up and down!

Do they have a ball you could try sitting on? Might make baby move a bit to get contractions starting.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 08/06/2012 15:13

Moving will help move everything in the right direction :) And dull pains are better than nothing, it could be the onset of contractions. With my surrobaby my contractions were only dull aching up until about an hour before she was born, but because it was all very low it didn't measure on the monitor. With DS my contractions weren't picked up by it either. My labours are all very low pains... :)

SESthebrave · 08/06/2012 15:14

Hoping this is similar to you then Cant :)

yes, fingers crossed you labour low into the pelvis too. I couldn't feel my whole tummy contract until close to the end in each labour. Thats why surrobaby was nearly born in the lift as they didn't believe i was in 'active labour' as the monitor said i wasn't having contractions!! how they trust a machine over a woman who's laboured 3x (at that point) is beyond me!! haha!! you're at the point they said they'd add a drip if nothing further developed.... hope they come and see you soon and you get results- so far your hospital sound a lot better then mine!! :)

Starshinetiger · 08/06/2012 15:33

Ses - been thinking of you all afternoon. Nothing helpful to add, just that I hope things move comfortably quickly for you. Agree that moving around was always better for me with both. Very excited GrinGrinGrin

SESthebrave · 08/06/2012 15:39

They've just said they're going to move me to delivery room on my own instead of on ward and put drip in. I asked if I could stay mobile / sit on ball and they said yes as long as I keep monitor on.

SESthebrave · 08/06/2012 16:41

Just a few mild tightenings so they've upped the drip a bit.
Baby seems to have decided to take a nap!

Lurked by and marked my spot earlier but fell asleep...Woke up in panic thinking I might have missed something!

Setting up camp again now...Good Luck and hopes for a speedy (Lol @DutchOma Grin ) delivery :)

SESthebrave · 08/06/2012 16:52

Thanks! Actually when I was at uni we had a pizza delivery place round the corner called Speedy Pizza. Speedy baby vibes!
Having said that, DH wants it to be born tomorrow as DS's birthday is 9th May and DH's is 9th July. I'm kind of hoping it comes at some point today :)

Ooh hey ses was just thinking of you earlier as we hadn't heard from you in the May thread.. good luck!! So excited for you, hope you get the vbac.

thanksamillion · 08/06/2012 17:30

Hi SES Nickel sent us over to the thread to see you! Praying for smooth delivery and a helpfull MW who will let you stay mobile.

treedelivery · 08/06/2012 17:34

Awww enjoy the journey!! Isn't it exciting!

Keep mobile or perched on a ball - just get savvy at holding on the monitor and learning to point it in different directions to pick up bubba. This gets tricky during your contractions so get dh trained up before the contractions distract you!
Anything to keep mobile! But rest when you need to too - follow your nose (and your pelvis)

cantmummyhaveabreak · 08/06/2012 17:35

phew- tea done and dusted! glad there's no mini-ses yet! (that would have been super fast if you had) any progress since they upped the drip?
