Mollybeth · 27/12/2022 21:06

Hello, my name is Molly, I’m 29, 5ft4 and 13 stone 5. I started nutracheck calorie counting yesterday and wanted to start a support thread for those starting their journey now/ 2023.

My weigh day is Thursday but i sneakily took a peek this morning at the Christmas damage 😭🥹.

Anyone else wanting to join? All welcome!

I'll do my first weigh on the 3rd.

I've subscribed to nutracheck again. I'm eager to get going, especially getting on my exercise bike, but it's just not practical at the moment (diet-wise, I can't physically get to the bike either!)

Rosio - I'm also scared. The last time I weighed I was around 14.5 stone. I have literally no idea how much I've put on since then.. I still feel like I'm a size 12-14, but when I see pictures of myself I get a shock!

@Cocoaone I understand the same about the 12/14 feeling, I always feel so confident in the mirror and then look back at a video and I’m thinking who is that?!😂

I will weigh on the 3rd but I’ve started with terrible cramps and tiredness today so I think my period may be coming 😭 which always makes the scales go up a bit

You'll just have a big loss in week 1 or 2 when the water weight buggers off! 😁

FerreroRocherAreAmazing · 30/12/2022 23:05

Please can I join too? Will weigh in on the 2nd and see what the damage is! Good luck everyone

Jackster22 · 31/12/2022 08:47

Please can I join ? my nutracheck renews on 23 Jan I don’t think I actually have stuck to it a whole week since January this year - this group may be what I need

MotherHaryy · 31/12/2022 09:11

Can I join too? My baby is 3 months now so can't keep using the excuse of baby weight!😂
Currently weighing at 13.9😱😱

FlipFlops4Me · 31/12/2022 09:12

I'm in please. I've signed up for a year at Nutracheck and started two days ago. So far, so good except I forgot to eat the snack yesterday and so was short by a bunch of calories.

I've joined to help my appalling blood pressure mainly; losing weight will help and so will exercise. I've bought an exercise bike but it doesn't come until the 8th. I'm hoping I can put it together. My DH has severe cognitive difficulties (following a stroke 18 months ago) and needs help with everything so I can't ask him.

I'll happily weigh on Tuesdays.

I'm 5'8", 15st 7lbs and 66 years old.

Happy munching to all of us!

FlipFlops4Me · 31/12/2022 10:15

In my blood pressure book it says that celery is a great natural diuretic to reduce water bloating (it's great for your bp too). I agree that it's a good diuretic; I spend my life running to the loo. Also, if you do like it then it's a great snack because it takes so much chewing! Find a low cal salsa and snack away.

bellinirocks · 31/12/2022 10:34

I’m in, not seen the Christmas damage yet but have been counting again the last few days so hoping I’ve already offset it. Will weigh in on Monday and then usually daily

MotherHaryy · 01/01/2023 15:04

How is everyone doing for snacking? I'm so bad for snacking when bored! I can't help it!

Any tips?

FlipFlops4Me · 01/01/2023 16:39

Not too bad, but I keep a jug of prepared celery sticks on hand and grab one if I feel the urge. Also there's a bowl of cherry tomatoes on the side just as I go in the kitchen, so that I can grab some before I even get as far as the fridge.

Also, there's easy peel satsumas on the kitchen table, which is kind of a sweet alternative.

Mollybeth · 01/01/2023 17:07

I’ve been trying to have a cup of tea when I’m feeling like snacking but I also go and have some cherry tomatoes or celery as pp have said.

ive come on period today so I’m pretty sure that my weight will have either stayed the same or gone up a 1lb or 2 despite trying very hard.

Can I join you all?
35 5’6 and 14st 1.6

I have struggled with my weight for years and I’m fed up of it taking up so much headspace.
i have lost weight calorie counting before but always give up. So I need to stick at it and remember I am worth it! Goal weight of 11 st 7.
i think in the end I’d like to weigh less than that but any more feels overwhelming right now.

day one of cc today and I’m doing ok so far, just having tea and still have 460 left so I‘ve got enough for a snack later .

Goingtobee · 01/01/2023 18:36

Hello! I’d love to join you all too please. 44, 5’5 and expecting to be around 13st although won’t be weighing until Tuesday morning. Have had good success with Nutracheck a few years ago so looking forward to getting going again. Would absolutely love to be around the 10st mark but realistically haven’t been there for around ten years or so, so would be very happy with 11!

Glitterybee · 02/01/2023 02:05

I’d love to join too!

nutracheck, healthy food shop, trainers and Apple Watch at the ready 🙋‍♀️

FlipFlops4Me · 02/01/2023 08:37

I've found no salt stock and low salt gravy granules! I can't tell you how pleased I am. Salt is a killer for me - literally - so I am doing everything I can to reduce my intake. I've also found a recipe for low salt, vegan mayonnaise which I plan on having a go at as soon as I've bought some silken tofu and more lemon juice.

Aside from that, so far so good. I'm really trying to get myself into the mindset of a slim person - adjust portion size to "normal", and only eat until I feel that I've eaten enough and then leave the rest. I'm going to be slim so I might as well start practicing now 😂

Peachypips78 · 02/01/2023 08:44

Can I please join you? I use Lose It rather than nutracheck though.

I'm 5'3 and approx 14 st, but from now I'm weighing in kilos as it means I don't really know what I weigh and so don't get discouraged - I know it's weird but it's a mind trick that seems to work for me! I am also breaking it down into mini goals.

My first goal is to get under 90kg. I have two weddings and I don't want to be squeezing into a dress!

MotherHaryy · 02/01/2023 08:50

Thank you @FlipFlops4Me and @Mollybeth!

I have cucumber, carrots and 2 boiled eggs ready if I feel snackish! I can do this!! I have got the wii out for some light exercise to fit around the kids and house work today!

@Peachypips78- I love the idea of small goals! I might make some mini ones myself!

Peachypips78 · 02/01/2023 09:09

I can't face losing 20kg 😩 but I can face losing two or so at a time!

Rosio · 02/01/2023 09:25

I did it, I got weighed this morning!! I'm so disappointed in myself that I've let my weight get this bad.
I love PP idea to get the wii fit out, I might do the same

FerreroRocherAreAmazing · 02/01/2023 09:37

I weighed today and I'm 11st 4. I'm 37 and 5ft 2. Positive mindsets and hopefully we have a good week.
I heard good things about the Fitness Marshall so I did 1 of his videos and I felt silly but it was so much fun!

torquewench · 02/01/2023 09:45

I'm in. I've been subscribing to Nutracheck and a gym but haven't used either of them since April, so I need to sort myself out.🙃
I'm 5'6" and probably around 14 stone.
Need inspiration for snacks (Im ok with fruit) and lunches that I can take into work - sandwiches are no good as they'll be gone by 10.30.
