Hello, my name is Molly, I’m 29, 5ft4 and 13 stone 5. I started nutracheck calorie counting yesterday and wanted to start a support thread for those starting their journey now/ 2023.

My weigh day is Thursday but i sneakily took a peek this morning at the Christmas damage 😭🥹.

Anyone else wanting to join? All welcome!

I have my Nutracheck synced with my Apple Watch, which should be pretty accurate.

But I do like the app for giving us the option!

Hello all,

I went out with friends at the weekend and had quite a bit of alcohol and a burger and fries, and I’ve come away with a 4 pound gain back up to 13st 1 this morning. I’m beyond gutted and as it’s a couple of days since I’ve drank and ate bad I think it may stick :(

I’ve realised these times will happen and that I need to keep going. I’ve bought a Fitbit so I’ve charged that and I’m going to aim for 1000 steps a day which would be a miracle for me as I WFH full time and only do on average around 500 a day!

how’s everyone else getting on?

Just checking in to say I'm still here!

I'm finding that Monday to Thursday is fabulous then I can't be arsed to track and it all falls apart over the weekend... back to Monday & repeat!

I weighed in on Tuesday to a 1lb gain ... wasn't happy so weighed again this morning and am 1.4lb lighter than yesterday. Go figure.

Think I might need to weigh daily for a bit just to get a better understanding of how it moves through the week. If I only weigh once a week and it's a "bad" day I'll lose all motivation, and there's little enough of it as it is 😁

So, my scores for the week, using the better figure obviously

Start weight 11st 9lb
Weight now 11st 5.8lb
Total loss 3.2lb
Loss this week 0.4lb

Good luck with the Fast800 @Mollybeth, will be interested to hear how you get on.

Alliwantistobe · 09/02/2023 18:08

I'm still plodding along too but am feeling much more hungry this week 😕 still coming in under my 1500 every day but not liking feeling hungry.

imustbepatient · 10/02/2023 10:06

Morning everyone, hope everyone is well. I’m really getting into the swing of tracking on Nutracheck now. I’ve set it for the higher calorie limit that I got by using Jordan Syatt’s calculation and set the target for the much higher protein target that I come up with on his system too.

Before doing that, I’d had a spike up on my weigh ins, but I’ve always found what I eat lags about a week behind on the scales, whether that’s a change for the good when I’m not eating so well, so it makes sense to me that I kept going up for a further week after starting to count calories again.

Anyway, I’ve started going down again now. From the highest it spiked up to earlier in the week I’m now down 1.5kg. Clearly a lot of water weight in that, but also the start of some fat loss, fingers crossed.

My mantra just needs to be ‘trust the process’ and not to get panicked into feeling I have to ‘change things up’!

paulmccartneysbagel · 13/02/2023 11:56

Finally lost a pound! Medication hopefully kicking in now.

Started on January 13th at 11st 10lbs
Today I am 11st 6lbs

I'm going to try to keep active this week - school holidays are always hard as I am not as active with no drop offs or pick ups.

Goingtobee · 13/02/2023 19:36

Small loss in terms of weight for me since January - around four pounds, however it could have been a lot worse as had a very busy time and not always made good choices after a virtuous first two weeks. I have massively upped my exercise though and wore a pair of trousers for work today that I’ve never been able to fit into properly, they do fit today so feeling pleased overall! Well done everyone for still keeping going now the January motivation has faded.

FlipFlops4Me · 24/02/2023 11:41

Sorry for the absence - life got in the way but I stuck to my diet and have lost just over 1 stone since 1st January. This is on target to finish losing in early July and I'm happy with that thought.

Jackster22 · 25/02/2023 21:26

Hi everyone - I have lost a grand total of zero lost and gained and playing this game each week, I have joined Davina own your goals app and it has exercise, recipes and wellness so hopefully this will help, well done everyone

Lauralozzle · 26/02/2023 18:13

Hello, I hope you don’t mind if I join!

I’ve put on quite a bit of weight following a failed ivf cycle and need to get it back off again to feel better in myself! Starting (again) properly on Monday.

2023caloriecounter · 19/03/2023 01:44

How is everyone doing?

I’ve fallen off the thread but not the wagon! I am 9lbs down from 02/01/23 - starting weight 11.9 and now 11.0. Desperate to get the next 1lb off to see the 10s for the first time in probably 5 years!!

Some days I don’t physically track but I’m still sticking to my calories 99% of the time.

Hope some of you are still around :)

FannythePinkFlamingo · 19/03/2023 07:45

I'm 10lbs down since 3rd Jan. Still a long way to go though. I have religiously tracked everyday since then. I'm also doing at least 10k steps a day now.

For the first 2 months I cut out all bread, potatoes, rice and pasta but it didn't speed up my weight loss by any great amount. I've reintroduced them a little bit now, but am still mindful not to eat too much.

I have 3.5lbs to get into the 12s and I'd love to be in the 11s by the time I go to Spain at the end of June.

paulmccartneysbagel · 19/03/2023 09:30

I'm still at it!

Was 11st 10 when I started and am now 11st 3. Not a massive amount but I'm happy with slow and steady as long as it's going down!

buonnatale · 19/03/2023 10:16

Also still at it, have about 3-4 stone to lose and have lost 1 stone 1lb since Jan. 😃

2023caloriecounter · 19/03/2023 21:02

Absolutely fantastic! Glad there are a few still here. Well done on those losses.

@FannythePinkFlamingo I’m also doing 10k steps but it’s such a struggle to fit them in some days. I work from home some days and at 8pm sometimes I’ve only got 1000!!

Mollybeth · 19/03/2023 22:20

Hi lovelies, it’s been a while hasn’t it! I was off the thread for a while as I had an operation and was feeling very sore and unsorted.

Currently at 13:1, did get down to 12:11 at one point but started back at the gym last week and praying to hit the 12 stones again next week.

OP posts:
FannythePinkFlamingo · 27/03/2023 19:05

I'm still here and still stuck at 13.4. I've upped my exercise and now regularly do 10k+ steps a day. The scales seem to have stuck but I did measure myself the other day and have lost just under 6 inches in total and my clothes so fit better. Hoping for a whoosh soon.

paulmccartneysbagel · 12/04/2023 07:48

Hello all, I'm just checking in to say I've done it! I've hit my initial goal!

I started at 11st 10 on 13th January and am now 11st. Slow progress but had a few health issues along the way which slowed progress.

I'm going to keep going and try to shift another half stone.

What has massively helped me over the last week is to stop having porridge for breakfast which left me hungry after a couple of hours. I've been having eggs and they have kept me full up until lunchtime and seem to have stopped me craving snacks.

Hope you are all doing okay!

CactusPricks · 14/04/2023 12:15

Hi all, been a while, I joined this thread at 12 stone 3.5 lbs, and I just weighed in at 10 stone 12 lbs! I'm not too far off my goal now. Hope your all doing well Smile

theDudesmummy · 14/04/2023 13:11

I have lost 21lb on Nutracheck. I have hit a little bit of a plateau (not losing any more, although not gaining, and getting lazy about recording everything) but want to lose another half a stone to make it 2 stone, so will hop back on the wagon shortly.

FannythePinkFlamingo · 14/04/2023 19:30

I've finally managed to shift some flab! Despite a boozy, crap food filled weekend, I've managed to get to 13.1. So 3lbs in just over 3 weeks. If I carry on at this magnificent rate, I may get to 12.7 by the time I go on holiday.

Januarflower · 22/04/2023 19:17

I am new to Nutracheck but find it really good.
I'm eating healthy, drinking water, getting good sleep and a bit of exercise... I'm curious about why I self sabotage especially when I feel this good
