Did it for a couple of months last year and found it worked well but I fell off the wagon at a stressful time when my MH went downhill. I comfort eat way too much.

I now feel massive and enough is enough!

I have set a meal plan for tomorrow and will probably follow the same basic plan for a week until I get back into it.

Need to add in some exercise too which I am not looking forward to.

Anyone else want to join me?

Sounds like you are all doing really well. I was and then went to Lidl to get bakery bits for my sons trip to a theme park tomorrow with the school....am SO annoyed at myself without even thinking I bought and ate a maple pecan plait....I wasn't even hungry, I didn't even enjoy it that much...so mad right now Angry

thismotherhoodthing · 31/03/2022 19:10

@2anddone I did the same on Tuesday with a slice
Of cake. Don't write off the whole day cause of it, just get back on track and all will be fine

Mrsmch123 · 31/03/2022 20:28

I had it again for dinner. I hate my wraps toasted🙈 ive batch cooked meatballs from the meal prep king book and husband makes an amazing sticky chicken with spicy rice so will have this for the rest of the week/weekend so hopefully stay on track.

@2anddone well done😁it all soon adds up!

ilovebagpuss · 01/04/2022 16:21

Well done @2anddone everyone says if you can do steady sustained losses it tends to stay off more than a crash tons off then back on again which ive done before.
Im feeling quite grumpy today and hungry and want to eat friday treat food its hard when you feel you are trying but not seeing results. Time of month too so maybe that is holding the loss back.

thismotherhoodthing · 01/04/2022 17:20

@ilovebagpuss I'm the same TOTM for me which is why I've not lost this week I hope as I've been below calories All week. Disheartening! Don't give up though push through it and sure we'll see results next week!

Ilikecheeseontoast · 01/04/2022 21:43

It’s Friday and I’ve done CC for 5 days now. Was 10.9lb on Monday and am not going to weigh myself until this monday. Weekends are usually when I slip up and give in to takeaways, wine, chocolate, ice cream et but I’m determined to stay on track this time!

2anddone · 02/04/2022 07:38

Weekends are the hardest for me too @Ilikecheeseontoast (that's why I weigh Friday mornings so I can try to pull it back during the week) My dc are 13 and 16 and I tend to find that things we do together now involve going out shopping and to restaurants rather than soft play etc I try to make good choices but it's rare I do if I am honest. We also have movie night every Saturday and dd has got into a habit of buying me sweets/chocolate as a treat when she goes to the shop. Dd does lots of dancing and is tiny, might sound silly but we have a history of eating disorders in the family so I don't let my dc know I am calorie counting or dieting as don't want to put ideas into her head as she really doesn't need to and at the moment eats really well! So any treats they get me I always eat during movie night, works well as I get a 'cheat night' once a week but have to be careful the rest of the week. Luckily ds got back early from his school trip so we didn't make it to the waffle shop last night.

Inyourhonor · 02/04/2022 10:18

Good luck everyone for the weekend 🤞

I have the evening to myself this evening so am going to try have a nice treat but keep it low calorie.

My first event of the year (a wedding) is now only 2 weeks away! I wont have lost much weight by then but have bought a nice dress so hope I can get into it when it arrives.

So today is a write off! Started well with my normal breakfast then.....took ds for his covid booster and we ended up on costa and had Kit Kat hot chocolate and a slice of rocky road. Then had a sausage, bean and cheese bake for lunch from greggs. Tonight we have a dominos as a well done for ds school report (his choice). Determined not to eat a load of other crap today just because I have written today off and determined to get back on it tomorrow!
Hope everyone else's day is going slightly better

Mochatatts · 02/04/2022 13:51

Hi, can I join please.
First time I've tried to loose weight calorie counting. Had my daughter a year ago and struggling to keep the weight off since. Would like to loose a stone before I start teacher training in September. Only started on Tuesday, trying Noom on the 2wk trial.
Found the first few days ok, still going over, but felt awful this morning. How does everyone stay under 1200 without being constantly hungry?
I've booked myself a yoga class Mon with a view to going 2 times a week so that should help. But I don't want to be slim and miserable or bigger and miserable either.
Any top tips?

Inyourhonor · 02/04/2022 14:08

Thats ok @2anddone it happens to us all. Enjoy your treats today. I did SW before and the consultant said its fine to have bad days as long as we dont let the bad day turn into a bad week and I always remind myself that.

Hi @Mochatatts I had to play around with calories to figure out what works best for me. I stick to 1300 each day and have more one day at the weekend. Im most hungry in the evening so I eat small breakfasts and try not to go overboard at dinner either. That way I always have some left for the evening. But before I figured that out I was miserable as I was starving in the evenings.

I was in town with my 2yo who wanted a roll with sausages in it. I tried to distract him but he wouldnt let it go so I took him to get one. Amazingly I managed to control myself and didnt get anything for myself. I came home and made a tuna salad instead.

Morning!

End of week 1 of calorie counting for me, I -1.2lbs lighter. Really happy as I was out on Friday and Saturday night though trying to make sensible choices.

My biggest win of the week: DH asked if I wanted to pull into a McDonalds drive thru yesterday (the cure😁). I said yes so he could have one but didn’t order anything for myself. DH has reported his wife as officially missing 😉😂

I’d like to think I could get another 1lb off next week before it slows to 0.5lb per week

2anddone · 03/04/2022 12:34

Well done @Wond3rment it's hard to resist a drive thru!
Welcome @Mochatatts I am on 1300 day as any less makes me feel lightheaded.
Much better day for me today trying to keep steps up to 10,000 for the next 2 weeks while I am closed for Easter holidays usually on a work day I do 14,000 with the children I look after on school runs etc so need to keep moving this time!

Mrsmch123 · 03/04/2022 13:28

@Mochatatts that's quite low calories. How did you work them out?x

Mochatatts · 03/04/2022 14:02

I didn't work out my calories, the Noom thing did. But it makes me feel awful. I seem to be hitting 1600 every day. When I googled last night guidance, non dieting, is 2000 a day for women. So I figure if I aim for 1200/1300 but stay below 1600 ill stop gaining and might just loose slower. Plus I'm hoping to start going to yoga again so that should help.
Hope everyone's doing OK over the weekend x

Mrsmch123 · 03/04/2022 14:17

Try james smith and maybe take the average?i would feel dreadful on 1200.For reference I'm 5ft 4 and was 14st 5lb I was allocated 1587 calories. That's with the 500 calories taken off for the deficit.

Inyourhonor · 03/04/2022 20:02

Well done @Wond3rment

My dsis did noom last year and was on the 1200 cals a day. It did work really well for her.

I've actually had an odd day and forgot to have lunch so have lots of calories left for the evening. I know if I have too little that isnt good for weight loss either so trying to cram food in before bed.

Managed to stay within my calories today and walked 11,000 steps. Forgetting about yesterday and hopefully getting back on track this week to lose another lb

AngelicInnocent · 03/04/2022 22:16

Hi. Can I join you all please. First time trying calorie counting. I have a huge amount of weight to lose, 39lb (38lb now cos I lost 1lb this week).

I've always relied on exercise in the past but have a damaged knee, how I put on so much in the first place.

I'm currently aiming to stay under 1650 calories per day which fitness pal tells me should shift 1 to 1.5 lbs a week.

2anddone · 03/04/2022 22:50

Hi @AngelicInnocent welcome. Well done on losing a lb already it's a step in the right direction. Are you able to walk with your sore knee? I don't do any strenuous exercise (back wrecked from too many years of childcare) but I do walk at least 10,000 steps a day which works out about 5 miles for me.

Wond3rment · 03/04/2022 22:55

Welcome on board! You’re off to a great start.

I’m really benefiting from having a group to update on as it feels like it’s keeping me honest.
