Did it for a couple of months last year and found it worked well but I fell off the wagon at a stressful time when my MH went downhill. I comfort eat way too much.

I now feel massive and enough is enough!

I have set a meal plan for tomorrow and will probably follow the same basic plan for a week until I get back into it.

Need to add in some exercise too which I am not looking forward to.

Anyone else want to join me?

Well im a bit disappointed this morning that i see to have gone back up on the scales a pound not sure why as i feel im sticking to the calories and walking each day.
Oh well will keep on going and check again tomorrow.

@thismotherhoodthing painting my nails would be a waste of time I am a childminder so they get wrecked within half a day Wink but I like the idea of keeping my hands busy getting jobs done:
It's my day off today I only open to wrap around care and just dropped them to school and instead of going home for a cup of tea and half a packet of biscuits I am walking to the shop (3 miles) as need a pepper for tea...usually I would drive. Have managed over 10,000 steps every day so far this week but usually Wednesdays I only do about 4,000 so trying to keep it up. Have called it 'project Florida' in my head to try to keep me on task. Next 2 weeks will be the hardest as I don't open in school holidays so get very lazy and usually put a couple lb on each time!

2anddone · 30/03/2022 08:57

@ilovebagpuss might it be muscle weight if you are exercising? I find I go up and down by a lb or 2 during the day/week so try hard not to look until weigh day which I try to do every Friday 6.30am as soon as my alarm has gone off to get a more accurate reading....easier said than done though as I am always SO tempted to have a look!

ilovebagpuss · 30/03/2022 09:07

Yes it could be but its more likely i have gone over a bit maybe. I did allow 1600 friday and sat so will knock that in the head this week.
Yes I am terrible at not waiting for weigh day and weight can fluctuate even over a day!
Well done on walking more I could definately walk to the shop more often as well as my daily field walk.

Inyourhonor · 30/03/2022 09:23

I find that my weight can seem to go up and down by a pound or two aswell for seemingly no reason. But it always seems to come back off as quickly as it appears.

I like the idea of calling it 'Project florida' Smile
Thats great walking to the shop, its all too easy to drive instead! But more time spent walking = less free time to eat Grin

Just had lunch which was a salad with crab sticks feeling very pleased with myself right now as usually it would be 2 hot cross buns, a bowl of cereal, packet of crisps and a chocolate bar as it's my day off so the only day of the week I can eat whatever I want without mine or other peoples children asking for some!!

Well done!!

Great days on Monday and Tuesday and I can feel a reduction in bloat already. Today will have a treat or two included along the way I won’t lie.

2anddone · 30/03/2022 14:13

Thank you @Wond3rment I will admit I am struggling to avoid the chocolate today...only an hour until I pick the childminder children up from school so have come upstairs to lay in bed and read my book....furthest room from kitchen

Disclaimer I have no other childminder children here at the moment I haven't just abandoned them downstairs to hide from the chocolate WinkGrin

Inyourhonor · 30/03/2022 16:56

I've been feeling fed up for the laast few days so went to town for a look around on my lunch break. I had been avoiding it as I didnt want to buy something delicious and full of calories that I would regret after! But I actually stayed on track and didnt buy any sweet treats.

I'm finished work now and waiting for dinner to cook. I'll be heading out shortly but will avoid the shops Smile

@2anddone crab sticks and salad is a good victory! Well done. The other lunch sounds calorific! Stay strong, you would regret the chocolate as soon as you ate it and would feel bad, it's not worth it!

Ilikecheeseontoast · 30/03/2022 22:28

Day 2 of CC done and am feeling good. Not going to weigh myself until Monday though. Only had 2 meals today as morning was too hectic with school run etc. I had a cup of tea for breakfast, then had beans on brown toast for brunch and a cup of tea followed by a big jacket potato with cottage cheese, ham and salad for tea. Was lovely and I still feel quite full. Am not allowing myself evening snacks anymore!

2anddone · 30/03/2022 22:31

Well done @Inyourhonor on avoiding the sweet treats! I managed to today. Tomorrow should be ok but Friday I have to collect ds from his school trip at 8pm and have promised dd a trip to the waffle shop while we wait! Friday morning is my weigh day so hoping I might be able to have a little treat especially if I have ended every day so far with 100 calories still to eat

2anddone · 30/03/2022 22:33

Ooh @Ilikecheeseontoast I can't remember the last time I had a jacket potato will put that down for a meal next week thank you. Well done on todays meals there is no way I could skip breakfast I feel really sick and light headed if I don't eat within half hour of getting up

Wond3rment · 30/03/2022 23:07

I’m also trying to drink more water, I’m dreadful - absolutely never reaching 1L a day never mind 2L.

This week I’ve been averaging 1L to 1.5L which is a positive. No tea or coffee today either.

I’m weighing in everyday, completely acknowledging that there can be considerable fluctuations. I feel it will keep me honest 😁

Inyourhonor · 31/03/2022 06:54

Love jacket potatoes and havent had one for ages. Its also going on my list!

@2anddone I did this with a PT last year and he said it was fine to save calories each day then have them at the weekend so a little treat is def oj the cards for you Smile

How are you managing without the evening snacks @Ilikecheeseontoast? Evenings tend to ne my biggest downfall. I think I snack out of boredom so always have to leave caloroes aside for an evening snack.

How are everyone's mornings going? I had weetabix with sugar and a cup of tea for breakfast (199 calories) and managed to walk 6000 steps so far today as it's nice and sunny here so after I took the older mindees to school I took the little ones for a walk. Daytimes are a bit easier than evenings as we have set snack/mealtimes in the playroom and I only have access to the food that is in here (work from a cabin in my garden so can't just nip into the kitchen)

Ilikecheeseontoast · 31/03/2022 10:58

Morning! I had skyr yoghurt with berries and granola for breakfast (400 Cals), am planning on soup for lunch (200 cals) then another jacket with cottage cheese, ham and salad for tea. Hopefully I’ll come in around 1400 cals again with all my cups of tea! Am working today so sitting down a lot!

I’ve never really been an evening snacker. I’m a greedy so and so during the day but never want anything other than a cup of tea in the evenings thankfully!
2anddone · 31/03/2022 12:22

@Ilikecheeseontoast your breakfast sounds lovely! I have just managed to get through the morning with just an apple for snack. Now having gammon ham and salad for lunch leftover from dinner last night. I don't provide lunches for the childminder children they bring their own...I am currently eyeing up their crisps and biscuits feeling very jealous Blush

Libertybear80 · 31/03/2022 12:34

Urghh this week my weight has plateaued. I can't get under 70kg! Hopefully next week!

Mrsmch123 · 31/03/2022 14:09

I had a lovely chicken wrap for lunch with some pickles!was delicious! Breakfast is always wheatabix😂might have the wrap again for dinner😂

ilovebagpuss · 31/03/2022 15:35

Afternoon, i was starving this morning so had a crumpet with a tiny bit of butter. Had a bagel thin with chicken and apple for lunch. Comes in about 400 in total. Just back from work and had a ryvita with a teaspoon of peanut butter.
Not sure what to do about dinner yet I strugle to eat the same as the family if its something high cal so end up making another thing.

Wond3rment · 31/03/2022 15:55

I had porridge and grapes for breakfast. Weetabix give me heartburn unfortunately.

I met a friend at 11 and had a plain scone - no butter, cream or jam.

Lunch was soda bread and beans followed by a snack of 8 almonds, I really had to stop myself reaching for the biscuits.

Not sure what’s for dinner. I have about 500 calories so that’s not too bad.

Inyourhonor · 31/03/2022 16:39

@Mrsmch123 I love toasted chicken wraps. And toasted slim bagels Grin

Im aiming for 1300 calories a day and have had 200 for breakfast and 400 for lunch. Dinner is a very plain 300 so that leaves me with 400 for the evening. Dinner is cooking now, I have it early with the kids which is probably the reason I am snacking again by 8pm.

Great to see the different breakfast options here , will try something different at the weekend.

I always try and save enough for a crumpet or toast for those evening munchies, i just keep thinking I'll have my toast in a bit it seems to help knowing its there.
