Did it for a couple of months last year and found it worked well but I fell off the wagon at a stressful time when my MH went downhill. I comfort eat way too much.

I now feel massive and enough is enough!

I have set a meal plan for tomorrow and will probably follow the same basic plan for a week until I get back into it.

Need to add in some exercise too which I am not looking forward to.

Anyone else want to join me?

@2anddone I can only dream of having a BMI in the healthy weight range! Well done to you. I know how you feel though, you want to feel happy in yourself and sometimes that can't be reflected in the numbers.

Bank hol went ok here, I was just quite strict with myself a did some walking. Too much wine here I'd say. Weigh in on Fri now officially but had a sneak peak this morning and I've another 2 lb off so far this week, so can't complain really - so far calorie counting is v doable and seems to be working.

Had a calorie controlled ready meal there for lunch - chicken in a mushroom sauce with baby potatoes and green beans from tesco - 281 cal which I thought was excellent given it was an entire meal.

If anyone a fan of mushrooms on toast, I'm loving doing a toasted slim bagel with mushrooms 'fried' in a little beef stock for around 180 cal, delicious. I don't butter the bagel. I 'fry' most things in stock now, no oil / fat involved.

AngelicInnocent · 08/06/2022 17:16

@2anddone like tinkys, I am living in hope of reaching a healthy BMI. Well done and try to stay motivated for that last bit you want to shift.

@TinkysWinky I'm happy for you.

My bank holiday has not had much effect as I worked through it. Stopped me putting anything on though and I'm now at 9 pound loss overall. Just another 30 to go 🙄. I'm hoping it will speed up as I'm getting more mobile each week.

TinkysWinky · 10/06/2022 10:22

Just weighing in for the week at -2lbs

Starting weight 15st 0.5lb
Current weight 13st 12lb

For a total of -16.5lbs.

Such a slow process but will get there.

Wish I needed to go down a dress size but alas not yet lol

We have a few meals out this week so I will need to make sensible choices to remain on track

2anddone · 10/06/2022 12:34

Well done @TinkysWinky that's an amazing loss. I stood on the scale Monday and was 10st 7 today was 'real' weighin day and was 10st5 seem to have been stuck on 10st 5 for weeks hoping to be really careful this week and get below that next Friday.

pinkyponkyplink · 14/06/2022 17:43

Hi can I join?
I've been trying hard and lost around a pound in a week. Trying to stick to 1200-1400 calories. I want to lose about a stone by the time we go on holiday in 6 weeks. I'm aiming for 10000-15000 steps a day.
So upset with myself. Yogurt and fruit for breakfast, egg on toast for lunch but then started snacking on those torpedo stick sweets. I've had about 10 😱😱😱
Not sure if to miss dinner or just go ahead with it. I've already been on the cross trainer. Can it be resolved?

TinkysWinky · 14/06/2022 20:53

Hiya @pinkyponkyplink, welcome.

I'd probably just count the calories in the sweets and move on! Have a lighter dinner if needs be 😊

I'm not in great form this week, sticking to my daily calorie limit but not much shifting so I might need to tighten it up. Been quite hungry this week. I had added back in bread (all counted!) but it must be making a difference in both weight loss and feeling hungry at times. Back to mostly salads going forward

2anddone · 14/06/2022 22:59

Welcome @pinkyponkyplink where are you off to on holiday? I am off to Florida in December so calling my calorie counting 'project Florida' has helped my mindset. I have been stuck on 10st 5 for weeks but this morning the scale said 10st 4 so hopefully it's finally going down again

pinkyponkyplink · 14/06/2022 23:02

Hi. Thanks for the welcome.

Off to Spain. Well I should have drawn a line under it but I carried on instead. 2 glasses of wine, pizza and sweets 🥴
New start tomorrow

AngelicInnocent · 15/06/2022 15:38

Nice new size 18 jeans on today. Size 20s in the bin!

Also proud of myself cos I've managed 6000 steps a day for the last week. If I can keep that up for another week, physio is looking to up to 7500 for a few weeks and then sign me off for normal service.

2anddone · 17/06/2022 09:05

Well done @AngelicInnocent bet that felt amazing!! Good luck with the physio too.
Finally got the scales reading below 10st 5 first time in weeks as I had plateaued. It's saying 10st 4 so I have to be extra careful this week but I am happy it's finally moving again!!

AngelicInnocent · 17/06/2022 11:31

@2anddone great news. How much more have you got to go?

2anddone · 17/06/2022 12:44

@AngelicInnocent would love to get to 9st 7 but look ill below 9st 10 so trying to get to 10st and then will see if I can shift the final 4lb....not been under 10 stone for over 16 years

pinkyponkyplink · 17/06/2022 18:09

I'd love to be 10 stone or under. I'm 11 and a half. Feel like I'm getting nowhere.

Trying to do 1200 calories. Already at 600. Done 30 minute work out and hubby just starting a bbq. What can I eat? I'd also like a lager or wine 🙈🙈

TinkysWinky · 17/06/2022 22:52

@2anddone fabulous good to see things moving again!
@AngelicInnocent I bet that is a wonderful feeling. No sign of needing smaller clothes yet here unfortunately!

Weighing in for the week at -2lb after a difficult week with several meals out so I can't argue with that. Need to get myself inspired to stick fully to calorie intake again from tomorrow which begins a new week.

Starting weight 15st 0.5lb
Current weight 13st 10lb

-18.5lb 😚

AngelicInnocent · 18/06/2022 11:46

Amazing work @TinkysWinky. Well done. How many bags of sugar is that, that you aren't lugging around with you now?!

@pinkyponkyplink sorry for a late response and no good to you for yesterday's bbq but I tend to put something potato in the oven, jacket potatoes or potato skins maybe, add lots of salad and cottage cheese and then chicken pieces and/or sausages off the bbq. Then dessert, I make fruit skewers, strawberry, peach, banana pieces, stick them on the bbq for a bit and then have with a bit of zero fat Greek yoghurt with honey.

TinkysWinky · 18/06/2022 13:25

@AngelicInnocent gosh I hadn't thought on it like that - 8 and a bit I think? Crazy to think it's that much. And still no change in clothes size lol!!

Food wise today I have had a slim bagel toasted with an egg for breakfast, about to have a ham and mushroom omelette and salad for lunch and will make either pizza chicken or chicken curry with cauli rice for tea I think. That will leave plenty of calories over for a few glasses of Saturday night wine and a bag of French fries 😉😮

2anddone · 18/06/2022 22:23

Well done @TinkysWinky that's an amazing loss so far.
I have had a bad day today, drawing a line under it and starting again tomorrow

ilovebagpuss · 23/06/2022 09:47

Morning all dropped off this thread for a while, had a busy few weeks then had Covid again not fun!
Slowly making progress down 4kg now from when I started. It's not fast but I'm taking a slow game approach.
Holiday in July fast approaching and I do feel slimmer in my clothes and have bought 16's that fit nicely instead of needing an 18.
Hoping to loose another 2kg leading up to holiday if I can.
Hope everyone is doing OK in this heat and well done on a the losses I've been reading.

Mrsmch123 · 23/06/2022 15:33

Hey everyone. Well done on the losses. I've not dared step on the scales after my two week all inclusive holiday. The food was really poor and I ate chips and pizza for two weeks😳😳we came home the other day and now have covid😩the baby is really poorly with it and it's his first birthday tomorrow😢

TinkysWinky · 23/06/2022 17:54

Hi everyone! Sorry to those who have or have had covid! Hope the baby is ok 🤒weight loss is about living life too so I would definitely have enjoyed my all inclusive holiday too and then got back on it. Great loss so far @ilovebagpuss! Weigh day not til tomorrow here but I saw the notification pop up. Not feeling much slimmer yet, clothes starting to loosen a little but not yet down a size. Hopefully soon

2anddone · 24/06/2022 06:53

Hi everyone
Well done on the losses and hope you had a lovely holiday @Mrsmch123.
Hope those of you who have had covid feel better soon Flowers
Weighin day for me today and I have maintained at 10st 4 was hoping for a good sized loss as had a sick bug at the start of the week so hardly ate anything but then when I did I only ate what I fancied (so lots of toast, crisps and biscuits) which was probably my downfall....that and my steps dropped from an average of 12000 a day to 1500 for 3 days. Back on it now this heat helps as too hot to eat!!

TinkysWinky · 24/06/2022 07:22

Weighing in for the week at -2lbs

Start weight 15st 0.5lb
Current weight 13st 8lb

For a total so far of -20.5lb 🤗

Slow and steady progress but chipping away. Next target is 13st 7lb for 1 and a half stone, I was kind of hoping I would get that this week but can't argue with 2lb - so hopefully will aim for that this week instead.

@2anddone hope you are feeling better now 💐good luck for this week!

2anddone · 27/06/2022 06:54

@TinkysWinky well done you are doing amazing, slow and steady is definitely the way to go as will keep the weight off!
Feeling LOADS better thank you. My birthday this week so going to try and stay on track but no guarantees....life is for living though right???

TinkysWinky · 02/07/2022 10:28

Day late updating but weigh in yesterday at -1lb. I haven't been very good this week as allowing myself to maintain (have a big project on at work and need to concentrate, find myself hungry at times when focusing on diet) so I'm pleased with a -1lb and aiming to just maintain this week.

Total loss now - 21.5lb

2anddone · 03/07/2022 11:50

Well done @TinkysWinky I weighed in Friday and had maintained again at 10st 4 overall loss of 1st 7 so far! Not too upset about that as it was my birthday so had a couple nights of treat food (dominos and kfc!!) now have a house full of chocolate and trying to limit my intake but no willpower!! Think I might just eat it all so it's not here anymore then start again!!
