Did it for a couple of months last year and found it worked well but I fell off the wagon at a stressful time when my MH went downhill. I comfort eat way too much.

I now feel massive and enough is enough!

I have set a meal plan for tomorrow and will probably follow the same basic plan for a week until I get back into it.

Need to add in some exercise too which I am not looking forward to.

Anyone else want to join me?

Hi @Infracat and welcome...everyone is welcome here. How much are you hoping to lose and how are you planning on doing it? Well done on making the decision to start that's sometimes the hardest bit!

AngelicInnocent · 16/04/2022 10:43

Morning everyone. Feeling very proud if myself today. Family movie night last night and normally I would have had an entire pizza and snacks later. Instead I had 2 large slices with some salad and homemade wedges for a grand total of 800 calories. Snacks were walkers french fries, some strawberries and grapes.

Being good the rest of the day meant I stayed in my calories overall.

AngelicInnocent · 16/04/2022 12:15

Sorry @Infracat I didn't see your post. Hi and welcome.

BluebirdTree · 16/04/2022 14:50

Can I join too please? Covid plus general life stressyness means I am at my heaviest ever weight. Feel like a 🥔

2anddone · 16/04/2022 19:28

Hi @BluebirdTree think a lot of us feel like that. Welcome Smile I went shopping today and all of the dresses I tried on made me feel like I was wearing a sack! Doesn't help that some of the prints and fabric remind me of being a child in the 70's Confused I tried on one top and it made me look like I am expecting triplets...now wish I had taken a photo to keep me on task!!

It’s been day after day of dinners with friends and family and a couple of boozy nights with hangover snacking. Last family dinner today. And one last night out but I’m the driver tonight.

It’s been a brilliantly social Easter after so long without them. But - and there is a but - I’ve gained +0.8lbs. While indulging I am trying to make the better choices, I can’t imagine the damage if I hadn’t.

In reality, I’m still on track over all so I have to make sure I don’t loose sight of that. As I’m the driver tonight the snacking won’t be an issue tomorrow. The massive Lindor Easter Egg waiting for me is a challenge.

Mrsmch123 · 19/04/2022 08:13

Hi everyone, stayed the same last week but -4.2 this week🥳🥳
Welcome to the new comers😁

ilovebagpuss · 19/04/2022 09:09

Hello! Not been on for a while had a few difficult days to CC and kind of gave myself a holiday as I am off work.
Still I'm not going to feel bad we are all human and I enjoyed my few days not thinking about it. Off for a food shop in a bit so will get stocked up on protein and salads. I like to cook a few chicken breasts with some herbs chucked on at the start of the week and then they are ready for lunches with salad or half a sweet potato.
Well done to everyone who controlled Easter scoffing.

ilovebagpuss · 19/04/2022 09:11

@Mrsmch123 that's amazing loss well done!

Mrsmch123 · 19/04/2022 11:26

We have been redoing our garden and I was the labourer😂so I've been hauling grass and soil around in a wheel barrow for the last week and painting a fence so I'm assuming that's why the loss is so big. Added in to that a couple of missed lunches as we were busy doing the above😂

2anddone · 19/04/2022 12:26

Wow @Mrsmch123 that's an amazing loss. Back to work this week so hoping to get back on it!!

AngelicInnocent · 19/04/2022 14:53

Well done @Mrsmch123 that's really good. I'm happy to have lost 1.5lb last week but I succumbed to the chocolates on Easter Sunday after a large family meal so going to have to work extra hard for the rest of this week.

Mrsmch123 · 19/04/2022 15:29

Thanks everyone!@AngelicInnocent that's a good loss, it all adds up.

thismotherhoodthing · 19/04/2022 19:00

@Mrsmch123 that's amazing! I don't think I have ever lost that much in a week before.

I am trying not to get disheartened by how hard it is for me to lose a lb here and there. I feel like I have to keep cals so low and get loads of exercise in to stop putting weight straight back on. Reality is I don't have the time to exercise properly as I used to before baby so I'm relying on long walks, the odd (very slow!) run every fortnight and a couple of very short weight sessions a week - 10 mins max - if possible. My steps are always between 10-20k but I constantly seeing the scales go up and down - I guess consistency is key!

Mrsmch123 · 19/04/2022 19:38

@thismotherhoodthing I've never lost that much now I'm thinking is it water weight🤔because I haven't been drinking as much as I normally do🤦🏻‍♀️Next week will tell. Just keep plugging away at it!

Infracat · 19/04/2022 23:33

Thank you. Im looking to lose a stone and a half by mid August. Im going to calorie count using MFP. I tried today, did really well and then ruined it all with a massive binge this evening. Pretty disgusted with myself.

AngelicInnocent · 20/04/2022 07:10

Don't give up Infracat. We've all had days where that happens.

Inyourhonor · 20/04/2022 07:53

Havent been on for a few days so a delayed welcome to the new joiners!

@Infracat its happens to us all. Today is a new day and you can get back on track.
If you find this happens regularly, you could think of trying what I do - I have a small amount of calories for breakfast and take it easy with lunch and dinners. Then I always have a couple of hundred calories left for the evening.

I've been away from home and have been sick so havent been tracking but will be back on track today 😃

Ugh. Dd is home from uni for a few days and I have no willpower. Fries Bell grande from taco Bell. That's 1000 calories of sheer crap and 2 hours later, I feel crap. I just need a nap right now.

Infracat · 20/04/2022 20:14

So, Ive managed day 1 of sticking to calories. And got 10000 steps in. Went clothes shopping today. Omg! Thats given me the kick up the backside I needed. Nothing fitted! I could have cried. Due back at work next week and wanted some new work clothes post covid. It wasnt to be. Don't know what Im going to do.

Exhaustedmother · 21/04/2022 21:35

I'll happily join you, I've got the Nutracheck app and lost weight well with it before. Now I've put it all back on and need to get my head in the game again.

2anddone · 22/04/2022 06:55

Morning @Exhaustedmother (great name!!) and welcome! The app was playing up for a few days so I kept losing bookmarked spots...and therefore used that excuse to eat lots of chocolate Wink
My weighin day today and I have lost 1lb making a total loss of 1 stone 7lb since I started. Happy with that but would still like to lose another 7lb by school summer holidays starting. I find the nicer weather helps

AngelicInnocent · 22/04/2022 07:35

Morning all. I got back on track yesterday so I'm hoping to have maintained this week by the time I get weighed on Sunday.

Following on from my taco Bell feast the other day, I'm wondering why I think of things like that as a treat. Yes, they tasted great but I honestly felt so awful afterwards. It made me tired and grumpy.

ilovebagpuss · 22/04/2022 18:18

I know what you mean @AngelicInnocent I am starting to think harder about what cals I want to use for treats as some are just rank! Or like you say you eat too much and feel awful.
I hate it if I waste calories on a "treat" and its horrible. I had a few Lindt mini eggs at the weekend and man they were worth it really nice chocolate. Then yesterday I had a few lines of a Cadbury bar and it tasted really oily.
I am finding doing the CC is slowly making me choose better of that makes sense, as each mouthful is precious 😃

AngelicInnocent · 23/04/2022 08:58

That's exactly it @ilovebagpuss
